TODAY'S WEIGHT: 260.6 pounds
Heya. I'm Tom. I'm a 25 year-old male.
I guess I'm another "resolutioner" posting a diary that by all accounts might be abandoned in a week or two... Heh. Oh well, let's give this a shot.
Well, this isn't my first a rodeo, unfortunately. A couple years back, I was just around 303 pounds. At that time I didn't have a job. I just up and decided one day to lose weight. I don't know how I summoned up the courage then, but I did. Managed to lose 75 pounds rather quickly, putting me at around 225. So what happened? Why did I get back up to over 260?
Well, I got a job. Two of them, actually.
Since then, I've kinda fallen off and have been unable to get back up. I sunk back into my old habits. I just can't find that inspiration that got me going last time.
I guess it's because I don't really have any support. I don't have any friends, really, and everyone in my family is too busy to care. Plus, I'm a huge dork that lives with his parents. I play video games and stuff. Not the Call of Duty "dudebro" games, but games like The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Mario games. Also, I'm an extremely weird and awkward person, especially in person, so that kinda keeps me from connecting with other people.
Well, before anyone says anything, I don't think the video games are a problem. I don't play more than an hour or two if at all, unless I'm really into a new release, which is rare. And as of late, I've hardly played at all. I just do a lot of nothing on my time off, Mainly because I have no motivation to do anything but eat when I'm off work.
My problem is that I stress eat, and I'm particularly vulnerable after work.
So, I'm going to try some things to keep myself from over eating, and I'm going to kick out the sodas once again and fast food, and try getting back on the treadmill in the mornings. I'm going to do things like leave my debit card at home, so I'm not tempted to grab something to eat when I'm out.
I'll try to post at least once every day, so, let's see how this goes.
EDIT: Silly old me forgot to post my goal weight. I'm looking to hit about 170, which is a good weight for someone like me.

with all of the above, so don't have much more to add Tom, except a great big welcome to our little part of the world. You should find lots of friendly, non-judgemental support in here & start to feel that you are amongst friends. I hope so, anyway. All the best, Cate.
