How do I get rid of the last 10 pounds?

I have lost 50 pounds since september basically by eating pizza, fries, fried chicken and beer just in moderation 2000 calories per day, I am at 180lbs now from 230.

I am 20 years old and my diet consists of:

Breakfast: None
Lunch: 2 slices of pizza and a side order of french fries
Dinner: peanut butter and jelly and a bowl of wheaties
After dinner: usually about 7-8 beers (light):D

I lift on monday, wednesday and thursday buth upper body and legs and run a mile on the treadmill while I am at the gym

The problem is I have been stuck at around 180 now for 3 weeks. ( I have tried bumping my calories to 2500 per day this week and bring it back down)

I don't want to change my diet if this can still work for me like it's been doing, but if thats what it takes to turn my 4 pack into a 6 pack then I am willing to do it

I wish I could lose weight and eat like that.

Sorry but your diet is crap, no offence.

For starters, the fact that you have no breakfast, throws your body off the the entire day, and prevents your metabolism from working properly.

If there's 1 - just 1 meal in a day which you should NEVER, under ANY circumstances miss - it's breakfast.

So this is what I recommend:

Breakfast: Oatmeal
Lunch: Omlet
Dinner: Meat & Vegetables
After Dinner: 1 Beer :p

Before you do exercise have some fruit, but not too much.

I guarantee that will help, or at least eat SOMETHING for breakfast.

No offence but this is crap as well:p You're spot on about the breakfast part though.

You should eat something every 2-3 hours to keep your metabolism going, also try to get some protein with each of your meals.

the problem with the breakfast part is I have classes from 7:30 to 11:00 and I am not even hungery in the morning, therefor lunch is the first meal I really get a chance to eat.

Then have a protein shake or something man. Can't miss breakfast.

Also, I'm surprised you haven't really been burned about your diet yet (besides one person saying it's crap). That is a horrible daily diet and it's going to kill you more than likely.

Seriously though, if you want to lose 10 more, then just eat clean for 1 month. Just getting rid of all those saturated fats and carbs will help melt the pounds away. Also, replacing those 7-8 beers a night with a healthy dinner will do nothing but help.

Eating balanced, whole foods will make you see more results in the gym, help you build more muscle, make you more energetic, melt fat off of you, and save your freaking liver and kidneys from all that beer.

Did you even try to evaluate your diet before posting this thread?

Well, boohoo, muffin. Suck it up and eat breakfast anyway.

Oh, and consider yourself insanely blessed for being able to to lose any weight at all doing what you're doing. So you know..what you look like isn't the only consideration. You're going to develop health problems. If you want to live long, look around and educate yourself.

If you just want to lose the 10 lbs..eating breakfast and doing more cardio will probably get the job done.

I will see if I can get better pictures tomorrow however I think I made my diet out to be worse then it actually is I only consume about 2000 calories per day and that is including the beer and I also Drink about a gallon of water a day

I figure:
2 slices of pizza 400 (slices are fairly small)
small french fries 300
peanut butter and jelly 400
bowl of wheaties 200
7 bud lights 770

2070 total calories

those are the only pictures I have now but you can tell mostly from my face

If hes in a negative energy balance then he will lose weight regardless of the food. Is the food important though? HELL YA!

Also if your weight decreases, your calories decrease. Thats assuming you're diet and training are optimal for your goals. (which they are not)

True, tony..but look at the meal timing, and the use of alcohol before bed (though I imagine most of the calories in those light beers are simple carbs). That's a lot worse a setup than 2000 calories evenly spread and properly timed.

It's true that insanely is some hefty exaggeration. In reality it would only be slightly more difficult, yeah. I was just being dramatic to drive my point home about it not being healthy. :p

Im not disagreeing with you, but just clearing things up. His diet allowed him to lose a certain amount of weight, however if he had done things better, he would have seen better results. :)

I'm in a similar situation as you. I lost 40 pounds and I'm trying to drop the last ten, although I don't eat the **** that you eat.

I also usually skip breakfast because i have class from early in the morning until lunchtime. If I just have a granola bar in the morning, would that be good enough? One of those nutra-grain bars? Should I just go look around at the local vitamin store and get something there?

Yeah I guess I'll try it in the mornings.

Just counterintuitive that if I'm not losing weight, eating more in the morning would help solve that problem.

So if I get a whey powder mix and drink one every morning, that should be good as far as breakfast goes?

If you want to lose weight, you should try eating small amounts of diversified food 5 times a day, at regular hours.
Try to eat more at breakfast, because the calories you get will be burnt during the day. Also, try eating less at the last meal of the day, so that when you sleep you don't have to burn those calories.
