HOT for my Honeymoon!!

:cuss: up one pound - I just don't get it.

I'm going to write down everything I put in my mouth this weekend because I found I did better when I tracked EVERYTHING -not just Mon - Fri.
It's really frustrating though because I have been eating so good (the weekend wasn't even that bad!) and I exercised over 9 hours in the last 7 days. Hopefully it's just a two pound poo waiting to come out.:smilielol5:

Hahahahaha, gotta love those 2lb poos! I'm really weird about going anywhere but my own bathroom and whilst I was in ID with Conor I didn't go for 1.5 weeks! Thank god I didn't weigh myself whilst I was away!!!

Hi Lisa,

Your food choices have been great, you've really seemed to get your snacking under control and your workouts have been stellar as always and I know you of course wanted to be down on the scale not up but try really hard not to get discouraged because you have been doing so well in both eating and excercising and you're right your probably holding onto water or other bodily waste lol, or maybe you had a stressful week or too much salt, it could be a few things so just keep doing what you're doing and keep kicking butt! I think it's a great idea to write down all food, I've been thinking of getting a food journal myself to keep myself accountable. Don't be too down and have an amazing healthy weekend!!

Hey Lisa don't worry I am sure that if you did gain it's muscle! I find that some mornings I feel eavier then other and usually plays with my weight in!
Trackiing 7 days a week is very helpful to me! Next week will be your week!

Hey Lisa, I think it HAS to be muscle or water, there's no way you could be a pound up!
Keep your chin up, you're doing all the right things. Hope you get to enjoy the weekend xx
Best of luck with the giant poo lol

Hana are you serious? A week and a half? It's a wonder you weren't sick as!

My mum went 13 days on her honeymoon without going! The women in my family are not good at...letting go...when we're not on our own loos! It's a huge family joke--Holidays are a nightmare!!!!

13 days? JEEBUS!!! That's a bizarre thing to inherit too :smilielol5: I don't like using other people's toots either though, so I can understand :)

I would add a protein source to your breakfast meals. I've noticed several times you aren't getting protein at breakfast. Make sure you are drinking a LOT of water at each meal. You want your body to flush it out (sorry, lots of peeing).

Otherwise you are doing great. I hope the weight starts to drop for you. It sure seems like it should be.

Derrick

Hang in there, Lisa! You're doing all the right things. Eventually the scale will show that but right now it just wants to be stubborn! I am irritated with the scale too... it definitely doesn't reflect the way I feel!!

I haven't stuck with the push ups so don't worry that you didn't start it yet. I have the same reason for that - the classes I've been taking at the gym have been involving push ups and lots of arm work so maybe once I get a little stronger and don't feel so weak after the classes I will start it back up again. Same goes for the running program - I want to do it but I am enjoying these classes way more and I am so exhausted that I don't want to do both!

Anyway, here we go another week! Let's start it off right

Hahaah I'm like this too! My mom doesn't understand it because we could be on vacation and I won't go the whole time and she gets so worried about me. I've always been that way and I'm sure I always will.

Thanks Janvier! I think it was water because I saw 149.6 Saturday morning!! I also had a pretty stressful week so that could have been it too!!

Thanks Veronique!! I think the tracking helped a lot.

Thanks Jess! I'm going with water and I'm just going to try harder this week!

Thanks Derrick! I know I need more protein in the morning so I'm going to start back to egg whites this week and see if that helps things. I already drink a ton of water - like 4 litres plus mint tea so I don't think that's it. I have a feeling I will be in better spirits this weigh-in!!

Thanks Sarah! I'm feeling good about seeing some results this week and I'm ready to work hard again!! I'm glad to hear you aren't sad I'm not doing the push-ups but I did make an effort this weekend to bust some out!!

Ok so it's Monday! Time to start another week off right and finally see some results come Friday!! My weekend was good - not amazing - but not horrible either! I actually tracked everything - good and bad - but I forgot to bring my journal to work today so I'll have to sum it up. I didn't come into work today till noon because I wasn't feeling well this morning but I have meeting this afternoon I couldn't miss. Here's how the weekend looked:

Friday - ate healthy all day, woke up before work and did 30 min treadmill, did 1 hr gentle yoga class after work. Hubby made a delicious dinner - chicken breast, brussel sprouts & baby potatos and that was all I ate all evening! I had a big helping at dinner so it kept me full till I was ready for bed!

Saturday - slept in till 12:30pm!! Even though I was in bed before 11pm the night before! I must have really needed that sleep. Started cleaning the house right away. Hubby made a big breakfast for us at 2pm - turkey bacon, scrambled eggs and toast. I continued cleaning for 3 hours - sweeping, moping, vaccuming, dishes, laundry, lots of stairs climbing (we have three floors and I was up and down all day). Hubby made spaghetti for dinner around 7pm and I had a fair sized bowl - lots of veggie in the sauce. After dinner I had to start getting ready to go out and instead of getting right in the shower I decided to do 15 min on the treadmill and some mat work - leg lifts & sit ups, stretch.
We went over to a friends house to play poker and I snacked on some white corn tostitos and diet pepsi. We got home around 1am and hubby put in a thin crust frozen pizza we had and I munched on 3 pieces of that instead of just going to bed like I should have. Still I decided not to drink so it could have been worse!

Sunday - again woke up late and was being lazy around the house all morning. Finished some laundry and snuggled with hubby a bit. Wasn't hungry till around 2pm so I had some salad with tuna at that time. I was waiting for my friend to call to go to the gym and around 4pm I gave up on her and got on the treadmill. I ran 6.2 miles in 68 min including my warm-up and cool down. Did some more mat work - leg lifts, push-ups, sit-ups, stretch and burned 815 cal in 80 min. Felt good and wanted something sweat.
That's where the night went down hill. I decided to make banana pancakes and syrup and it was so good and sooo sweat!! The syrup consisted of melted butter, brown sugar, creamy mint liquor and vanilla extract. We finished off the meal with some chocolate milk. Later in the evening I made microwave popcorn and to finish the night off I had a candy cane - the lasts of them from xmas! Oh wait and hubby had bought a Reece bar earlier so I had 2 Reece cups too! Talk about the munchies! But honestly overall it could have been worse, lol!!

Friday morning I was 150.6, last Monday morning I was around 156, this Saturday morning I saw 149.6 and today I was 151.8. So I have hopes to see 149 by Friday again!! Normally after the weekend I'm up 6 pounds from all the salt, alcohol and fat but this weekend I kept it under 152 so that is very promising! I also turned down Chinese food again this weekend and chips! I know I would have been back to 156 if I indulged in some bon bons and won tons! So I'm excited for the week ahead!! Only 41 more sleeps!!

Ahhhh, I need chocolate milk! I've been craving something all day and I just read that you had some and now I'm drooling all over my laptop!!

Hey CG

Sounds like you've had a good start to the week. I'm hoping you see 149 at the end of the week (or lower :)). It's so nice when you have a positive loss aye...

anyways I'm trying to get back on here a bit more often. I'm determined to just keep coming here forever so that I'm controlling my eating not it controlling me.

Well done on avoiding the Chinese food Lisa - so much salt in that stuff. I used to get SO thirsty after any Chinese food...
Fingers crossed for the weigh in, I think you've got it this week.

:)

Oh my goshhhhh those pancakes sound amazing!!! :drool5: hahaha nice munchies menu you got there ;) I haven't smoked in probably a week and a half now! Hanging in there... so far I've only been asked to do it once and I turned it down!

I am going to buy some All Bran Buds.. You eat yours with yogurt, correct? I need to start varying my breakfasts... I feel like I only eat egg and cheese sandwiches and oatmeal!

Sorry Hana!! It's so good though isn't it!! Good source of protein at least!

I'm back :) Hope you're doing well Lisa
I'm good Sunshyne - good to see you back!

I agree Anna! It really helps me stay accountable! Hope to see you around more.

Gosh I sure hope so!!! Your catching up to me!! I love love love Chinese food so that was a tough one to turn down!

Yes correct!! I need to start varying mine too so I'm going to incorporate more eggs again. I love yogurt with crunchy all bran buds and some fresh berries. I need the bran in the morning so my new breakfast solution might not last.

Once again I’ve been able to resist urges and start the week right! I took the morning off yesterday because I just couldn’t get up and slept in till 11am so my calories were a little under yesterday but I think it balances out Sunday just fine. Here’s how yesterday looked:
B – slept through
L – veggie salad – lettuce, onion, pepper, celery, cucumber, snap peas, black olives & ff tomato, oregano dressing.
Exercise – 1 hr kettle bell strength – I used the 35lb bell for almost the whole class!! Switched to the 25lb bell for the single arm moves and didn’t use the 18lb bell at all. I should have had some protein at lunch though because I was struggling – burned 460 cals.
D – 2 sm tortilla shell pizzas – left over spaghetti sauce w lean ground chicken, ff cheese slice & green olives.
Snack - veggie salad – lettuce, onion, pepper, celery, cucumber, snap peas, black olives & low fat caramelized onion & poppy seed dressing.

I got groceries last night and packed up some salads for the week. I also boiled some eggs so I have some protein for breakfast. This morning I brought a sm whole wheat tortilla shell (90 cal), 1whole egg and two egg whites hard boiled and some fresh lettuce and I’ll top with ketchup and roll it up. It’s around the same amount of calories as my standard breakfast but it contains way more protein. I’ll probably switch between this most mornings because I still really enjoy my yogurt with all bran buds and berries but I know it’s short on protein. I wish they had a blender at work so I could make a shake for breakfast. I might have to invest in an extra.

Tonight I’m going to gentle yoga and kettle bell again. I’m starting to not feel sore at all after a class which is great but I also like the feeling like I’ve worked myself really hard. I’m excited to wear my HRM tonight because the instructor for kettle bell is new and last week I forgot it and it felt like we burned the most calories ever. He just goes and goes an goes and the other instructors spend time explaining proper form and giving us water breaks. I’m looking forward to the intense workout and I have lots of protein in my day today to get me there ready to go!

I was hoping to see a couple photos attached for new hair dos – I really have no clue what to get. I’m starting to think about cancelling the appointment but I know I’ll regret it and wish it was cut. I’m nervous because I’ve been growing it out for so long and I haven’t had short hair since I was chubby!

Making hard boiled eggs is a good idea for adding protein! Especially since you can just eat them plain or throw them on a salad for a quick boost. I cannot believe you used a 35 lb kettle bell! HOLY shit!!! I know I wouldn't want to get in a fist fight with you :p

BTW, I forgot you posted about the hairstyle. What about something like this? Not TOO drastic, but still shorter and something fun :D

I really like it!!! I think hubby would like it too because it's still a little longer than some I've been looking at. Thanks Sarah!!

Hi Lisa,

Great start to your week! Keep kicking butt! I looked up a few celeb hair styles that I thought would look cute on you. Good luck with your hair cut, its going to look amazing!
