OK, I’ve never been one to look to others for help but this looks like fun!
A little back ground:
I’m 34 year old male
6’0” 325lbs
Married to the love of my life for14 years now (yes I know we were young)
Have the two best kids ever created one boy (11) on girl (9)
I was always a very athletic as a kid and a young adult. I put on 15lbs to play collage football, went from 215-218 to 230-235 now 13 years later I’m 325 lbs (I guess I found something I was good at and kept with it). I’ve always had body image issues, even at 215lbs with a 33” waist I had issues. Now I see pictures of my self back then and wonder what the hell was wrong was wrong with me, I was ripped!
So, about a week ago I bought a scale and much to my surprise I was 325lbs, I new I was fat but damn I didn’t realize how fat. My wife has been on me now for quite some time to do something about my weight. She has never been fat… a bit chunky at times, but not fat by any means, at her heaviest she was 134 I think, she’s now about 110lbs and a marathon runner also training for her first triathlon (she defiantly got her sexy back!).
Well I didn’t waist any time after I saw that number on the scale, I decided right away I need to do something about it. I have been walking in the evenings and have cut out all the soda I was drinking (boy that was allot of unneeded calories) and have been eating a much healthier diet for the last 5 days. What do you know it actually works! I got on the scale today and have dropped 8.5 lbs weighing in at a mere 316.5lbs now I just have to stay on track.
I need help with what to eat. My wife is good at cooking a healthy dinner, but she doesn’t eat breakfast and I’m at work for lunch so…

I think you should enjoy your birthday dinner, just don't go overboard and you'll be fine- just get right back on plan tomorrow. I don't think it's good for people to use special occasions as an excuse to go off plan all the time, but I honestly think a birthday is a worthy exception to that.
