Hello readers.
I'm new to the forum.
I've been on a diet since I was 9. 15 years later, I am yet to win the battle of the bulge.

Backstory:
My HW was 208lbs back in 2006.
I lost a lot of weight about three years ago and got down to 138lbs in January of 2009.

I have since put much of that weight back on again (sigh) and the numbers have yo-yoed up and down for the past few years.

I'm 5'8 and today I weigh 182lbs.

Now, it's summer break and I'm going to make good use of the free time I have on my hands.
I will get my healthy body back.
It's going to be a long journey and I need all the support I can get.
Wish me luck.

Day 2:
Mood - grumpy and fuzzy headed (if that's a mood?)

I hate summer colds.

Looking forward to coffee (decaf *groan*) and breakfast.

Day 3 of Atkins induction and no caffeine. I feel out of sorts. But no headache.

Breakfast: Omelette

Snack: Few macademia nuts

Lunch: Salmon, Cream cheese & avocado with tuna on the side.

Snack: Mini sausages, bit of brie cheese, decaf coffee w/ cream at starbucks

Dinner: 2 sausages, courgette, cauliflower mash cakes (fried in butter)

Much water drank.

I'm already down over 4lbs of water weight, which i'm happy about.

Life among protien rich

You'll drop the weight in no time! Do you exercise too?

Life without bread and such things is not very difficult, so I hope you don't feel deprived. I tried Atkins and that's when I learned I had a wheat allergy, and although I sometimes eat small amounts of bread in social situations, I don't miss it - and I haven't had pasta in years!

Good luck and keep posting!

Thank you so much for the support. It's great to hear from someone who also follows a low-carb lifestyle. I really don't feel deprived at all. I'm gonna try and see if i can find your diary.

Day 4
Mood: Lethargic. Everything feels kind of a challenge and i'm feeling really disgusted about my appearance today, more so than usual. This is partly because i just got my period.

Food:

Breakfast: Omelette
Snack: Celery with pnb / String cheese
Lunch: Tuna and avocado salad
Snack: Decaf sf vanilla americano with pouring cream / Pepperami / Macademia nuts

I'm finally getting over my cold but still feel weaker than usual. In the book i'm following for this low-carb diet, it says that day 5 is the worst, so i'm not exercising again until the weekend. I don't think i've ever lasted this long on the induction before.
