I noticed your workout routines revolve around abs and arms. I think you should incorporate other moves-squats, RDLs, db pressing, db rowing. For cardio-give a go at this once a week-http://www.t-nation.com/findArticle.do?article=274bear2

Also, if you're really interested in incorporating fat loss into workouts-throw in some db swings and sprints and fullbody circuits with a short rest interval.

I've been reading your posts and it looks like you are well in your way to a healthier you! Keep up the good work! I'm also in the "I hate cardio boat" due to my bad asthma, but I've managed to find a way to get around it. Cold air sets off my asthma and because I live in a cold climate so I find it really hard to exercise outside. I have a home gym and I bought myself an exercycle which has been great in adding cardio to my weight training. So I'd highly recommend getting an exercycle (or a treadmill for that matter).

Diet is also a contributing factor to asthma, so hopefully your diet will change the more you exercise and you should see fewer asthma symptoms. Feel free to PM me if you need support with your asthma, I know how demoralizing it can be when your mind wants to exercise but your body (or your lungs in this case) makes it as difficult as possible. :)

ive been putting off leg workouts lately. i need to get back into it
 
i did cardio. not much..but its cardio!

so today, my diet sucked..bad.
-tv dinner
-pizza
-popcorn
-burrito


doesn't get much worse than that. It was bad. But that motivated me to workout..especially to do some cardio.

so It wasn't much, but I did go for a light jog.

workout:
jog
lunges
squats
bicep curls
tricep extensions
crunches

Tried to do a full body thing today :D

I can see that for the most part, I am doing well. I've come to terms with myself, and I now fully realize that I'm making lifestyle changes, not just a limited time weightloss program.

I need to start eating healthier. It's not all about exercise. I'm trying to incorporate more lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables into my diet. I'm also trying to cut down on sugars (I've already cut out soda for the most part), and trying to cut wayyyy down on salt. Of course I still put it on my proteins, and my vegetables. But I know that I need to cut down a lot. I'm also trying to make more of my own meals. I've realized that I make a lot of processed foods. reason? they're fast, and easy. And with my work schedule, that's convenient. I really like eating the turkey dinners from marie calanders..so why not just make turkey..and some red potatoes..and some low fat gravy along with some greenbeans? Still not the healthiest thing in the world, but it's a lot better than the dinners, and it's going to cut back on the sodium ammounts a lot. I also like eating frozen burritos. I just bought these low fat ones with beans, cheese, and rice. That'd be pretty simple to make. And lastly, I need to cut down on simple carbohydrates. The complex ones are okay..whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. I've been pretty good with that thus far. But still don't like the percentage of carbohydrates that I'm taking in compared to the percentage of protein.

As far as exercise goes..I'm trying to workout 5-6 days per week. And three of those days will consist of cardio; Jogging if possible. Now is the best time for me to get into cardio. I live in arizona, and the weather is actually bearable right now. By the time it gets really cold outside..january will be here, and then I'll be able to afford to join the gym. And it won't be a waste, because I'll be used to working out again. I'm going to try to fit in 2 upper body, 2 lower body, and 1-2 full body workouts in every week.

At this point i'm so determined. Starting now is going to have me ready when swimsuit season comes back around. And that's really what I'm going to look foward to; going to the mall with my best friend, trying on a bikkinni, and actually liking how it looks on me.

I know that I can do this. I also know it's going to be hard. But with diet and exercise, it's more than possible. :D
 
Whoo Hoo Christi you sound on fire girl! I haven't been up to date on your diary...but I am now, and count me in on your encouragement! You're doing great! Aside from some goal setting try not to look at the whole picture. Set your goals and then put one foot in front of the other and concentrate on the road right before you. Before you know it you'll be at your destination!

Eating healthy isn't as difficult as you might think - and there's some tasty stuff out there your palate just has to be retuned for to appreciate. Welcome to the world of better eating :)

i have a-ha moments so many times week:rolleyes:,but i never quite stick to any meal plan i make,
i eat poorly
infact very poorly but i make sure that i am working out,but it reflects on my face what i eat.
i need to learn healthy too.
u are doing great honey so far keep it up:)

i leave for vacation in the morning.
I'm going to completely honest..I don't care.
haha. I'm not gonna tell you that I'll try to behave..there will be instances when my concious kicks in..but for the most part..I'm gonna eat whatever I want.:D
