hi. im christi. and this is my fitness diary

I have my portions measured out. I just didnt list the portions on here.
That's how I knew that i only consumeed 1075 calories and so forth . I used fitday.com for my calorie counter :D

Is that enough calories for you? Find the amount needed to maintain the weight you're at... It's possible you're not getting enough calories and your body wants to go into starvation mode (where it basically stores anything you put in your mouth) which might explain your difficulties with losing. It might sound odd but you need to eat (healthy) to lose weight.

It sounds like you're making a move in the right direction. As mentioned before, try to get some fruits and veggies worked into your diet, and consider taking a good multi-vitamin.

I would also suggest that you should consume a little more than 1100 calories. Your calorie intake should be based on your height, weight, activity level, etc... I'm GUESSING you should be around 1600, but I would definitely find out your daily calorie needs and eat about 15-20% less. (FYI, I was eating 1800-2000 calories when i was cutting)

do you guys have a link to a site that i can get that from?
maybe i should add a lil bit..but yesterday, i just ate healthy, and it only came out to be 1075 cals

Changes..

I need to eat less carbs, and I guess I should consume some more calories. To maintain, I'm supposed to be eating 2k+. I'm barely breaking 1000.

I also need to get into a cardio routine. I miss the eliptical I used to have when I lived with my Mom.:(

I'm going to beat my asthma. I'm sick of it. I'm not letting it stop me from succeeding in my weight loss goals. It's just not gonna work that way.:)

I've had the past 2 days off of work. So we'll see how it goes along with the swing of things tomorrow.:D

Upping your protein and decreasing your carbs might be helpful. Instead of the smoothie, try oatmeal or steel cut oats, possibly with raisins and or a banana. Cottage cheese is also an option as it's high in protein and low in fats. Natural food>processed food, so try to have whole natural foods (as opposed to the boxed/bagged processed stuff.

Thanks hun.

k guys i didnt do as well yesterday.

I had a marie calanders turkey dinner which was loaded with carbs

a frusion smoothie ( im looking into finding a new breakfest thats fast and easy)

wow guys..i did bad today.

i had pizza, and soda, and candy. back strict tomorrow. I promise.

MOTIVATE ME:D

It's very hard to stay on a diet on the weekends I find. Since weekends usually involve one night of drinking for me- I can never stick to a diet when I drink (after bar food anyone?)... it's so bad!! But, you are right- you can't let one day get you down... in the long run a few bad days in with many many good days aren't going to matter so much.. just remember WHY you are doing this and remember what you want the final outcome to be! Think of those JEANS!! :)

Have a good day today!!

leahvictoria's right - a few bad days here and there won't hurt, you just can't let them become habit. Eating healthier is a lifestyle change, one that won't happen overnight, but will come from a series of better eating choices. As for motivation, we can only do so much in terms of supporting/cheering you on, but the drive has to come from you. It sounds like you've an outfit picked out for new year's eve already - visualize these scenarios in your head - the first is where you put on your outfit and it doesn't fit, and you have to wear something old and frumpy - how will you feel then? The second is where you put it on and it fits like a glove, and you look smokin' hot to ring out old year. Which would you rather?

Hard though it is, you need to keep your eyes on the prize.

THIS is exactly why i joined this forum in the first place.
I feel back on track already. thanks guys :D

and apparently i'm lookin good since two guys gave me their numbers last night;)
THat was a self esteem boost furr shurrr

Thanks guys :D
I hate hate hate cardio. IT makes it even more difficult since I have asthma. sometimes i go out to run, and i feel like i'm having a heart attack b/c I cant breathe.

Hey there!

I've been reading your posts and it looks like you are well in your way to a healthier you! Keep up the good work! I'm also in the "I hate cardio boat" due to my bad asthma, but I've managed to find a way to get around it. Cold air sets off my asthma and because I live in a cold climate so I find it really hard to exercise outside. I have a home gym and I bought myself an exercycle which has been great in adding cardio to my weight training. So I'd highly recommend getting an exercycle (or a treadmill for that matter).

Diet is also a contributing factor to asthma, so hopefully your diet will change the more you exercise and you should see fewer asthma symptoms. Feel free to PM me if you need support with your asthma, I know how demoralizing it can be when your mind wants to exercise but your body (or your lungs in this case) makes it as difficult as possible. :)
