Hello Hello! Hope everyone had an awesome Easter! :seeya:


Mine was nice... had lunch with my boyfriends family and dinner with mine. LOTS of yummy yummy food! I did well with dessert though... only had a TINY slice of Peanut butter pie, and a small cookie. Other than that i stuck to some ham, small amount of potatoes, and lots of veggies. YUM. i loooove ham though! :)


Went to the gym yesterday morning before i joined all the food festivities. I was glad i went... made me feel nice to have worked out that morning amidst all the preperations and needing to make my mashed potatoes still! haha... but i did it and i was very glad that i did!

At the gym i did 30 minutes on the treadmill... which was about 2.5 miles. Then i got on the Cybex machine for 15 minutes. I did alot of cruncheds yesterday... felt AWEOME... leg lifts as well to tighten up those lower abs and ass muscles hehe. Spread eagle machine also was nice.. .stretched my legs out and trying to tighten the inner thigh.


What i want to know is WHY ARE MY LEGS NOT GETTING VERY TIIIIIGHT!!! i want nice firm legs... not the fatty lumpy ones i have now!!! lol. I think ill take some pics tonight.... if i can get to it lol.


Gym tonight for sure. Planning an Hour of cardio and then a 30 minute circut training session. Should be a good time.

i'm doing great melissa! Glad to see you are back in action and everything! don't worry about the legs, they'll get there. one day at a time. just had me a chicken caesar salad with no dressing for lunch. yum! how is everything going with you?

I am having a shitty down day today. I don’t know why. Maybe its because im being a jealous little bitch. Whatever…..:nopity:


This girl Heather that I hang out with sometimes, she FINALLY wasn’t lazy and came with me to the gym last night. She got really skinny. Guess she was 178 and is now at 132. It drives me nuts though because she does NOTHING. NOTHING. She sits at home and goes to bars and drinks. She doesn’t ever work out…EVER… but she lost 40 lbs in 2 months.

Excuse the language….. WHAT THE FUCK. I work my ass off, exercising, dieting, etc….. and I lose a measely 16 lbs in 2 .5 months… and she drops 40 doing NOTHING. Except I guess starving herself because she rarely eats.



And I know I sound like a bitch I am fully aware of that… but I am annoyed…. And feeling shitty. She has always been much bigger than me… and now I see her and she is 5 lbs less than I am!!! ( she is about 2 inches taller too btw)
Ugh.


Anyways, I just feel fat, ugly, and gross today. Its rainy out, im just miserable. I feel like giving up.:mad::cry:

We both know you are gorgeous, so lets not get ahead of ourselves, with the fat ugly and gross comments. As for your friend, don't for get that diet is like 90"% of the weight loss ordeal. you can never workout and lose weight, but to be tone and have SOME muscle mass you may want to workout out a little. i mean she got skinny fast, but it may not be the healthiest way. it didn't come on fast, so don't expect it to fly off fast. it just takes a lot a work to do it consistently. as far as 16.5 in two months, nothing is wrong with that, that is about 2 pounds a week, which is nice and healthy! so, pick you pretty little head up and don't let someone else's success bother you just because you have to work harder at it. beside we don't know what she went through on her journey to assume it was as easy as it seems. i'm almost to a point where i don't care about what the scale says anymore, its irrelevant. what i care about is BF% and what size clothes i wear, i know i am moving towards my goal, and that is all i can ask for. our bodies is going through changes, and believe it or not, its at a fast pace. when it realized what you want from it i believe it will give it to you, so long as you stick with what you are doing, and keep challenging it with new things. you body will become your best friends, allowing you to look like would never imagined you could look like, and do things you never imagined you can do. but like all relationships, it takes time to develop. so keep it up! you are doing it right, and if you ever need to vent again i'll always have an ear and a voice of reason to make sure you don't lose focus!
 
Hump day update

Went to the gym after work today. Did the following exercise:
30 minutes Cybex machine on an inclinne and resistence
15 minutes Treadmill- ran 1 mile and some change.... alot of the time was incline walking
15 minutes bike- biked 2 miles and some change

also spent 30 min circut training and also crunches.





Food today was ok....

Breakfast- Coffee, sm yogurt Parfait, bite of monkey bread ( had to try it)
Lunch- White Macademia nut luna bar ( 190 cal), medium naval orange.

2:30- slice of ham pizza..... was starving... and it was there

Dinner- 1/2 piece of grilled chicken with low fat gazebo room dressing, 1/4 cup green beans, 1/4 instant potatoes

snack- fat free chocolate pudding
 
Monkey bread is good :D

When I was little, I thought foods named after things actually contained those things.

Like spongecake. Shoofly pie. Monkey bread. etc.

things are looking up though.

I do have a pretty sweet quote from a motivational speaker i have been listening to on the way to work in the mornings.

"Human beings are the only species on earth who knowingly choose to be less then they have the potential of being. No other living thing in nature chooses to be less than it could be. Only humans."


for instance a tree does not start growing and say im 6 feet now... im good i think ill just chill right here. Or a dog doesnt get partway through growing and decide its done for the year. A beaver doesnt build half a damn and then just quit due to lack of will power or interest.



Thought that was an interesting little tidbit.

Hey Mel! I just saw your "bitchy" rant and I know exactly where you are coming from! I have many friends who do exactly what she did, but trust me, as soon as she starts eating again, which she will, she will gain it back even FASTER. YOU are doing the right thing and losing weight the right way and in a couple of months, you guys will run into eachother and YOU will be the thinner one. You are not FAT and you are GORGEOUS!

Great quote by the way! That is totally true and think because we have minds that think and analyze, we are definately our own worst enemy... I know I am...

hey hey! don't count me out! i'm around. you never responded to my motivational post, so i was crying in a corner for a while. i'm back now. let start off by saying.. i've missed you as well! now that that's out the way. go you! keep it up don't stop it all good in the neighborhood. that quote is too true. we are some lazy somethings aren't we?
 
Had a decent day today. light eating it seems looking at it... wasnt real real hungry i guess. Here is how my day of eating and then exercise went:

Breakfast: Coffee, Decaf Hot Tea
11:00 snack- 100 Cal smartfood popcorn

1:00 Lunch- greenbeans, carrots, broccoli, piece of broiled fish (?), few small cheese cubes

Dinner- Grilled Ham and cheese on wheat, sm cup of chili

* i am sitting in bed now and feel full and just fine....



Exercise
Today was GORGEOUS out. So i skipped the gym and decided to do some outdoorsy stuff. I went for a bike ride down the road about a mile to a local park, and then rode around there a little bit. Id say about 3 miles total.

Then i actually got off my bike and went for about a 10 minute jog. I then decided to do sprints up a hill there...... i did this long incline hill about 4 times and then jogged back to my bike and headed home.


THEN- i put Gina's ( my pug) harness on her and took her for about a 45 minute walk. she was in heaven!!! hehe:Angel_anim:

By legs are feeling a bit swore from the run... so it was totally a good idea... really worked muscles i guess i may not work normally just running flat on the treadmill.

My butt is swore also... im guessing from the bike.


my girl parts.... well they took a beating from the bike seat LOLOLOL:smilielol5:


Good day over all i would say. Did our weekly measurements and i went down in a few areas. Ill post tomorrow because the chart is at work and i really do not remember what alli lost and what not... but i am happy for that.


My shirts are getting real loose, my bras are too big....


my jeans sag on my ass... but why cant i drop pant sizes lol..... my legs just stay the same hehehe. i am almost to the point where my upper abdominal area... is the same measurement as my thigh!!!!! YIKES. :icon_bs:


what do i do about this???

Just thought I would drop in and thank you for writing. I know I have not been around. I am pre menopausal and its no fun. Between a day of exhaustion and depression, mood swings that come with the change... ugh

my fiance has all he can do to keep up with me, so I have all I can do to get online or that matter out of bed. I walk, but not enough and not fast enough, but I have lost three pounds since getting rid of chocolate in my diet. Starting over, but again, thanks for writing, your words, what you said have really reached me now...

snack- 2 handfuls of mixed nuts
Lunch- 1 can of greenbeans dry, sm fruit and yogurt parfait with a small dap of granola on top


Im sure around 3:00 ill need a small snack to hold me over......


Ive missed you guys... seems semi dead on here lately... maybe its just me.

MMM, your breakfast sounds yummy, minus the coffee part... I wish I liked it. So, you have been working out in the mornings, eh? Maybe I should try that and see if it stirs up my weight loss a little bit. Yay! I can't wait for pics!!
