lunch break :)

Hello all and good afternoon.

Thought id stop by quck and say hello. I did get up yesterday morning and go to the gym. it was ok but i am sick so that really didnt feel so great when i was running. I relaxed last night on the couch and pumped the cold meds to keep me breathing at least. Got a good nights rest last night and i will be at the gym this evening again. The weather is gorgeous here today so i am thinking about trying out a path at a local park or maybe running front street in the city by the river. Not 100% sure yet though.

This morning i did have a skinny vanilla latte at starbucks... i felt i needed the pick me up today. it was wonderful.... i did savor it. I just got done with lunch. I had 2 slices of 98% fat free ham on Light wheat bread. I then also had a can of green beans. My lunch was a 300 calorie meal.


around 2:30 i will be having an all fruit Strawberry Banana smoothie :drool5:

I cannot wait! hehe.

i'm tired. i am working so hard! i had a lite mocha frap at starbucks today for my pic me up! awesome yummmmm! i can't wait for tennis and sleep tonight! and for this workday to be over!

Hey girly how are you doing?? I noticed your joining a 5k race me too but in may.. So are you a runner or what.. Damn running is fucking hard for me.. Well I see that your doing good.. long time no see...

Good Morning all. It has been one hell of a week. Wish i could have been on here encouraging everyone and hearing from you all.... but i just didnt have the heart or the engergy after the week my family has had. ( more in a bit)

I have been doing well with my healthy living goals i had made for myself back the beginning of february. I went to the gym this week a few times, but there was a 3 day stretch when i was not there at all. I had been at my grandpa's side helping keep him comfortable and manage pain for my grandma. It is a tiring job im sure some of you can relate.


Needless to say i still lost 3 lbs during that stretch and this friday i was welcomed into the 130's club!!!! :hurray: ive waited for quite some time for this :) very very happy. I am now at 138 lbs and that is now officially

15 pounds lost

that is very exciting for me and i am certainly proud of the hard work and dedication thus far. i am looking forward for much more successes and i also will be back to my normal routine probably tomorrow.


The above statement ( back to normal scheduled routine) comes only because of bad news. My grandfather passed away last evening at 10:05pm. It was one of the most difficult, painful, drug out deaths i could imagine one could go through. He had what is called Terminal aggitation, excessive weightloss due to not being able to eat one item of FOOD for 3 months and no nutrition supplements such as boost for 3 weeks. Eventually your organs start to shut down and you begin what is called the death rattle.

This actually is due to your heart only trying to keep itself alive... and mucus builds up and causes breathing issues. this started yesterday around noon supposedly... and i had a bad feeling about things last night so i got my mom to go see him around 8:00pm. The nurse gave him less than 24 hours, and he died within 2 hours of us being there.

I do count it as a blessing from God... because there is no more suffering, no more pain, no more sadness for HIM. But i am sad because i loved him very much and will truely miss him. He was an amazing man... and only 62 years young. He would have been 63 next week.


Just an update for my buddies... i know i have been MIA lately... but this has taken up my attention and energy the last week and a half.... and my family needed me..... and i needed to be there.

there is no worries from me! we do have lives and certain takes priority over others, i wouldn't of had it any other way for you. You did what you had to do, and if anyone on here disagrees they are being selfish. its nice to have you back but given the circumstance which brought you back, i wish you all the strength and motivation to finish this weight loss. On a higher note, good to hear from you! i look forward to our future chats and hearing about how everything is going with ya! talk to you soon!

Hey Mel, sorry to hear about your Grandpa. I know about dragged out deaths, my Nana's passing was very similar. Stay strong and I am sure we will see you around here soon enough.

Alrighty.

Lost another pound, so that is good news.


Went to the gym yesterday morning and did the cybex machine only for about 35 minutes. I burned 375 calories on that sucker in a half hour which is decent. I then did some weights and crunches. Took it easy... havent had much of an appetite with all the stress so i didnt want to OVER do it.

Then i went to a coffee shop with a friend to catch up and i had a 100% all fruit strawberry banana smoothie and a tuna melt on marble bread. it was pretty tastey.

For dinner i had a chicken caesar salad with dressing on the side... and some fresh fruit. :drool5: My work sent me an edible "flower arrangement" made of out pineapple, grapes, strawberries, canalope, and honeydew. It was adorable.... very thoughtful!


I am def going to the gym this evening and i will log my miles run/biked/whatever. Im going to check out the thread and see what the RULES are hehehe.

im excited. still need to go to my dads and get my bike... just havent gotten there yet.

Last night I went to the gym and I ran on the treadmill a mile and half.... and then i biked for 6 miles.

After that i did some crunches and the circut training. it felt nice to get in there and work it again!!!! :) hehe.

Tonight i am planning a pretty sweet and intense cardio work out. I wanna get the metabolisim chugging again! Feels awesome to work out these days.... pretty freakin awesome to look FORWARD to going to the gym!! :)


i keep getting all these comments about me looking good.... not having an ass anymore... where did my boobs go... etc.


(side note: my bras are way to big for me now :( ..... didnt care to lose my boobies... they left much to be desired as it is!!! lol)


Tonight i have date night with my hunnie :jump:


looooove date nights hehehe. i know... im a dork.

anyways... im ready for luuuuuunch!!!


i had mulitigrain cheerios and a coffee for breakfast today and i am ready for lunch now because im starving lol.


dinner last night was retarded. I had a can of french style greenbeans with garlic salt, and two slices of light wheat bread... toasted and then 2 tbs of chunky peanut butter on it!!!! yummmmm


dessert was some fat free chocolate pudding.



hehehe yay!
