Girl, I hope you didn't read my journal and think you can do that because I did. I smoked two packs a week for 12 years, quit a few times and then quit for good a year and a half ago. That is, until I got so stressed out that I have smoked 6 packs over the past week. I will stop as soon as we move. I know it helps relieve stress but the best thing to do is to not even start. I promise I will stop once I get my family moved into a new home if you promise you will stop once you get your car started. :D
 
Derrick, lemme tell you something here. I was a 2 pack a day smoker also. I tried quitting a shitload of times. I managed to stay off them back in '94-'95 for almost a year and a half. For the record, it was while we were house hunting, going through mortgage agents, dealing with realtors etc that I picked them back up. That was 1995, I didn't successfully quit them again until 2008...

Don't tell yourself that you can drop them after this, or that or whatever... It took me way too long to drop them again, deal with it as soon as you can, man... Those evil things will bite you!

no bikini pics folks... we had very cook weather and wind. Nice for a fall beach trip... but not so nice for minimal clothing lol


PLUS- i ate kind poopy... so im sure i packed on a pound or two and was a bit bloated hehe.... not swimsuit material! :)

anyways had a good time for the most part... minus our little tag along... ( dans brother) who was driving me INSANE.... the kid is 21... and totally incompetent... pisses me off. ugh. done talking about it because otherwise... RANT CENTRAL right here.... :)


here are a few pics from our trip... nothing fabulous hehe. I am heading to the gym in about an hour so once i find out my weight... ill report back regarding the damage this vacation did to my progress!!! Also i have a good story for you all that really got me motivated again :)

Hey guys! Went to the gym this afternoon....


gained 3 lbs :ack2:

i had ALOT of poopy salty bad bad food though... fries, pizza, funnelcake, ice cream, blah blah blah.


over 5 days of course... but still!!! So i am checking in at 128 after my weekend. I did have a LARGE breakfast and a lunch right before weighing... so who knows really! ill find out tomorrow.


i hope my team the spooktaculars arent discouraged by this.... it should be gone in no time... im guessing water weight from poopy food choices. i walked a ton while down there... but who knows. Eiether way its 3 lbs.. cant cry over spilt milk.... choclate milk.... with whip cream... and sprinkles.. and...
ACH!!!! i need to stop hehehe.


ok back on the horse kids... it will all be ok :) after all.. just a week ago i was 127... so no biggie!



so today was back and Bi's..... abs, and 2 miles running as well.


Feels good to be back home.. ready to sleep in my own bed....

speaking of which im headed there... my sweet boyfriend has been up there sleeping already for about 2 hours... time to go snuggle up and join em hehe.

Hey guys... figured id check in with everyone... kinda dead in here lately... even the challange forums have been DEAD. crazy!


anyways ran a 3.2 today in 27:02... my new personal best.. by 2 seconds haha. Felt good to accomplish that... but i was DYING by the end of it all!!! whew!

Had a great workout today! did my 5K run and then worked arms like crazy... i loved the burn :) starting to get a little definition on those puppies hehe.

Hope everyone is doing well! I have a half day at work tomorrow and then getting my hair colored... WHEW!!!! hooray for fall colors :) hehe:blush5:
 
Hey! thanks for the advice on my page about the knee pain and what not. the pain only lasted for that day but i will keep in mind the supplement thats can ease the pain! i just got some new running shoes (nike high performance) and they are much better than the shoes i had before. but i get mad blisters on the insides of my feet when i run! it happened with my old shoes and my new shoes. either its the way i run or the way the shoe is formed. i was going to take a look at some orthotics to put in my shoes maybe that will help?

i'm happy for you that you have been able to keep up with your work outs and everything... you've done an amazing job adjusting to a new lifestlye! keep it up and keep your journal updated as much as you can!!! i love reading it and i know from reading other journals that a lot of people look up to you and find their inspiration from your diary. thanks for everything :)

Going to a hockey game tonight!!! im pretty excited! It does mean i will partake in some chicken fingers and fries & maybe a beer or two... yummmmie!!


last night was pizza night too... and last two nights no gym.... but tomorrow ill hit it up for sure! just been enjoying myself the last few weeks.... time to buckle down though... starting tomorrow!! :)

Sorry I haven't posted lately. I can't even begin to tell you how crazy the last two weeks have been for me and my family. I'll just say we are moving and leave it at that.

I'm thinking you should be able to lose those 3 lbs pretty fast after getting back to your routine.
 
Thanks guys... the hair is alright i suppose... not as much of a fan i think as i was the other day. MAYBE has somethign to do with my mom saying it looked like i was going to go trick or treating!!!

Your hair is rockin girl! Change is good - I just went from brunette to blonde again (can't tell ya how many colors I've had in my hair... my mom is a hair stylist tho!). PLUS if I'm workin on this new body I gotta have the complete make over! lol! I was going to ask you... since you've been in a 5K before..... did you run outside before the race? Or just treadmill? I'm using the treadmill right now to get ready but do you think I should run outside? I'm not sure if there will be a big difference. The 5K for me is in November... I still have about a month of training left. Also any tips on what to do BEFORE the race??? Thanks!!!!
