Here comes the bride...6 months to go!!

I'm the same with snacking! It sucks. Can't seem to curb it. I've tried having healthy snacks instead but then I'm like "yay, I had a carrot...now I can have crisps!" Not good.

I swear, b/w all of us we have an excuse for EVERYTHING!!! The truth is that the only way to get back into it is to just do it. We're not going to wake up one morning and have all the motivation and willpower back... it never left. We just have to dig deep bring it back out.

Thanks Marie! After doing some more reading today it came more clear to me that I need to change my eating habits if I want to reach my goal weight - they say healthy eating is 70-80% of weight loss and exercising is only 20-30% so I am only doing 20-30% right which isn't even half - so no wonder I am not losing. I am not going to lose weight unless I change my habits!
I want to lose weight therefore I am pledging to change - I have done it before and I will do it again! I feel strong going forward and I just need to keep reminding myself that - I am strong, I make my own choices and I choose to change - for good! If I can cut out all my snacking after dinner I will succeed. If I feel strong enough to have one snack and stop there that will be ok too - just not snack after snack after snack!! I know what I have to do and I'm going to do it!
Tonight I plan to do some cleaning, finish laundry, make some dinner - then not get lazy on the couch! I am going to get on the treadmill and run at least 3.2 miles and watch the BL - during commercials I will stay strong and not head to the fridge for snacks - you watch - I can do this!
 
I love this attitude and it has helped me get mine back :) I started a new journal like you did because I feel like this is a new journey - part 2. Part 1 is over with... I've gotta move on!!!

You have a great plan set out for yourself tonight... writing everything down in order really helps. So far I've checked off 3 things on my list in order!

1. Lunch
2. Relax
3. Homework

Now onto 4... the gym! :D

Same here, girl. IDK why it is so difficult to just finish dinner, maybe have ONE small snack, and call it a night!

well if I do make it to bed with out snacking, I can't sleep cause I am STARVING! I have tried it all...boiled egg, protein shakes, protein bars...is it impossible? This is the one last thing I need to fix and I think I would be losing fast.
 
Real quick here...
Life happens even when we have a plan so with that said... I did it! I didn't snack after dinner but I was really tempted to! I only got to 2 miles on the treadmill and a friend popped in - someone I haven't seen in a while so I had to invite them in and visit - who doesn't call before they come anymore?? So I finished the treadmill and visited all sweaty and gross - I didn't offer her anything to snack on or didn't put anything out - I did offer her some water with lemon because that's what I was having. She left around 9pm so I missed the first half of BL and at that time I started to think about snacks - so I went straight to bed! I was supposed to meet my friend at the gym this morning for a Kettle Bell class but I woke up with a huge headache and didn't make it. Nothing is helping so I am taking the rest of the day off and going home to lie down - I still plan to make it to the gym tonight! Hopefully my headache goes away with some rest.

Congrats on the not snacking!!!!! I always miss BL i want to watch it but most of the time I forget when it's on..........
I hate that even during that show they have comercial for freaking junk food, you think that would be a good time for Kashi or gym membership or weigth watcher commercial, it's good that you where able to resist. I usually get out of the living room when the comercial come on or I drink a herbal tea because nothing tastes good to eat with that.
Hope you feel better, when I have a migrain what helps is 1 gravol and two Advil migrain it knocks me out for like 6 hours and then migrain is usually gone when I wake up.

Hope you feel better, when I have a migrain what helps is 1 gravol and two Advil migrain it knocks me out for like 6 hours and then migrain is usually gone when I wake up.

Taking the afternoon off yesterday was exactly what I needed! I went home and slept from like 10:30am to 2pm! I woke up and felt like I had lots of energy so I went on the treadmill. I would run a mile and then get off quickly and do 2 sets of 15 push-ups and curl-ups on the ball and then would jump right back into running miles. After a warm up and cool down I did 60 minutes on the treadmill - 5.2 miles and 8 sets of 15 push-ups and curl-ups. I changed and left for the gym and then did 12 min elliptical and a half hour core class - I can tell my core is getting stronger because there are usually moves I can't do and this time I attempted everything - didn't last the full reps but at least I tried instead of before I would just say "Oh there is no way I can do that".
So after that I was feeling great - came home and made a flaxseed wrap with left over pork roast & some pre-mixed salad. I asked my hunnie to play Mario Cart on the Wii with me to keep my mind off snacks! It lasted a couple hours and then it was driving me crazy. I figured because I worked so hard I could have something - I had one cup of multigrain cheerioes and half a cup of skim milk and that was it! I was still over my points for the day because on my way to work I got a bagel and cappuchino - but the night time snacking is what I'm trying to control so that was much better than most nights! I went to bed feeling great and woke up feeling great! Can't wait to continue this momentum! My hunnie even noticed a difference in my attitude. I realized I don't need to pressure myself so much about losing this weight and not stress when I don't see a loss - it will come if I just stay at it. I also took my measurements this morning and will update every month.

Thigh - 23"

Let's Smash this weight!!! You have your wedding and I have my graduation ceremony....(super delayed compared to the graduation actual date..but that gives me more time!!)....

You dress is SUPERB!!!! ...I love it!!! You are going to be the most beautiful bride ever!!! :beating:!......I'm a sucker for happy endings!!! Especially romantic FIT ones..hahah!! Love ya woman!! :grouphug:!!! Tonight...I'll be killing it with intervals at the gym thinking of you!!! I already got my clothes in the car!!! :D~!
 
Thank Alta - you are my motivation for next week and smashing pounds! This week unfortunately was not successful - despite all the hard work I put in at the gym I am up 1 pound today!! I know my night time snacking is the cause and going forward I feel like I have a better handle on it. Next step is to start getting up before work and getting on the treadmill - even just for 20 minutes - I know I can do it.
I'm a little down this morning since I just found out my friend Marie is taking some time away from the site - I'm just going to have to be the strong woman I know I am and do this without her - I'll miss you Marie!
I'm glad we don't have any plans yet for the weekend - except for Kettle Bell tomorrow morning and core tonight! My goal for the weekend is to not have any chips or tarts! I will simply say no thank you.

I forgot to post my workout yesterday! I went to the gym after work and took a class called 1 minute solutions - it was a 30 min class and it was really intense - every 60 seconds we would switch exercises and do one exercise for a whole minute and then switch to the next - sprints, lunges, squats, planks, burpees - you get the idea - I was sweating after the warm up. Then I took a 30 min cycle class which used a bunch of intervals - standing, sitting, up hills, down hills, moguls, etc.
Went home and hunnie had made spagetti with meatballs - the meatballs were made out of deer meat - his friend caught it and it was so tasty! I think wild meat is leaner than beef - it tasted it anyway. After dinner we both did a 15 min arm workout before Survivor started. It was great working out together - we don't do that often but should do it more. I ended up being over my points because of the pasta and then we had a snack during Survivor - flaxseed crackers, cheese and pickles. The cheese was what killed me because the points are sooo high for it. I should have said no when he brought it down but I ate it mindlessly :reddevil: It was still a better night than most and hope they just keep getting better.

I'll just keep trucking along here...I honestly didn't ever think I'd catch up to you again, after I was rocking 167-168 like there was no tomorrow a couple weeks ago!!!....Woa that was scarry!!!...hahah

.....but here we are .....!!! Now, ....all we need to do is visualize that 150 flat and even at the gym scale as the little thing tilters almost lower into the 140's!!! OouuuuuUUU!!!!! We got this!!!

I must say, that hearing all the love with you guys makes me miss my hunnie and APPRECIATE TO SEE HIM so much more...it's been since Monday and I feel great about me and life!!!!!....I'm starting to think more and more daily, that this is exactly what I wanted.

Go figure...now I just want to have the best Valentine's day, and do fun things and I feel the pressure of us is lifting...like someone pulled the plug and the balloon went ptttttttttrrrrrrrrr all in the air!!! You don't really realize that there was pressure until it's gone actually....Ahhhhhhhh :beating:!!...I'm living..and I'm letting let live to others!!! C'est la vie!!!! :p!!

...I think my hunnie mentioned taking me to a beautiful Morrocan restaurant where all the belly dancers come and the waiters all puff your pillows for you..hahah...and they have a fantastic 8 course meal!! Vegetarian or Not!!...I think this case....not! haha!
