Okay, I'm new to this diary thing. But, I've been reading on some others. I want to lose but, can't seem to get there. I haven't drank soda for a year, I don't eat full meals, I nibble throughout the day. Stuff like a couple slices of roast beef or turkey. I move around all the time, cuz if I don't I fall asleep easily. So what gives. I know this is good for you, but it doesn't seem too matter what I try. Any ideas. :bigear:

What are you doing for exercise, what are your goals? Lay it all out hon, lets see if we can help you out!!
 
Congratulations on opening a diary!!

Do share with us what you are doing. Best way is to put down on your diary what you ate and does, that way you can monitor it.
 
great work starting a diary, you could start by recording your food and exercise here to get a better idea of where you might need to make changes :)

This would be my suggestion. You'd be surprised how the nibbling can add up without you even being aware and the 'moving around' may not have the intensity needed for actual weight loss. Definitely post the stats and let the peeps here help you out. They really are a world of help and support if you let them be.
 
Today I had a roast beef and turkey salad. No cheese just lettuce, pepperoncini, black olives, onions, and carrots. No salad dressing at all. And since I've been up since four this morning I had a sugar free calorie free energy drink that lasted from four till two this afternoon. For my mini excercise while still working I made a couple extra trips up and down the stairs to my truck. I forgot some stats last time. I'm 5'3" with a medium build. I should weigh about 180 but would be happy with 200-220.
I keep telling myself that I'll get up earlt and hit the gym before wokr but can't seem to crawl out of bed before 5am. I want to make it a daily routine to spend at least one hour after work. I always feel so good after. I have more energy, and I'm happier all week. Still not sure on a routine or a start for a routine. I'm trying though.
 
:banghead:Made a decision today to go to the gym at least three times a week or more. No matter what it takes. I'm going!!! I say I'm going!!!! I have waited long enough for me to get in there and do what makes me feel better about me and find more energy. Wish me luck. Tomorrow is the start of a new and better, brighter and sunshinier day. I will I will I will :banghead:
 
Today my food consisted of half a 8 inch personal veggie pizza for lunch.
My dinner about 1 cup of salisbury steak noodle dinner and a dinner roll. I frequently don't eat breakfast for multiple reasons, I don't feel hungry or I forget cuz I get busy. So usually my first meal is anywhere from noon to one in the afternoon. I know that doesn't help, but somedays it doesn't workout for me to eat. I drink one sixteen ounce of coofee in the morning then usually a sixteen once can of sugar free calorie free energy drink. Then the rest of te day water. Lots of water.

Just so you know, the soup i am doing is NOT cabbage soup hahahahah...no i just make veggie soup of some sort every week for filler and i individually package it in ziploc containers so i can grab it fast in the morning. my nights are the hardest.....

i can never NOT eat...i think it comes from when i was younger and i would do nothing but drink diet a&w or diet dr pepper all day long...sometimes i would throw a hostess cupcake in the mix for variety (hows that for healthy)

Cabbage Soup YUCK!!!! From the sounds of it your soup is the same. There s a very strict diet that goes along for a seven day diet. Then you take a week off and then on again.

Yesterday, I had a bag of Fritos Honey BBQ flavored. These are my big weakness!! Then I had two pieces of pepperoni. After putting up all my work stuff and running from store to store to work the computers in them I was finally able to settle down on one store and get something accomplished. After sitting and count money, obviously this not enough activity, I ate one of our new Subway flat breads with steak and BBQ sauce. I never have cheese. I thought I would miss it but dont even notice it's not there. I had inteneded on going to the gym but work prevailed. After my day at the first job I headed for the second. This was supposed to be just about wo hours and leave but the guy working quit so I was stuck for seven.

So on it goes, today is a new day. IK still have to work both my jobs today, but before I start I AM GOING TO THE GYM!!!! Then I will I make everyone else happy, first me!

Tomorrow Iwill try to make it back to the gym between my two jobs.

if I were you, I would start writing down every item of food you put in your mouth and then you will quickly see how many calories you are really consuming!
I thought that I should not be as big as I was, because I ate little, but once I realized how many snacks I was really eating, it dawned on me why I was that big. I mean bagel here and cookie there, and crisps here and chocolate there and even though all of them were small-ish, they all added up quickly!

Now I have a more organized schedule, I eat 3 meals and if I need a snack I try to go for fruit and veg (although at the moment I do not snack, because I have put my meals in an order that allows me not to be hungry throughout the day). I used to skip breakfast, but it really helps to have something, even if it isn't the heaviest meal in the day.

Anyhow, congrats for getting to the gym, that is awesome!

Thanks for the advice. I actually thought about it the other day and yes as I added everything I ate WOW what it added to be. As of now I have stopped the snacking. I eat lunch and dinner. If I do get hungry in the morning I have a bowl of soup at work. So for today here is my meals:

12oz. Potato Soup for breakfast
A medium salad with turkey ham and roast beef no dressing for lunch
For dinner I had 12oz. of beer and stir fry with beef, chicken, carrots, noodles,and onions. This cooked with garlic, soy sauce, and half teaspoon of sherry. Chang's Mongolian Grill is the best!!!!!!!

Of course while driving I had my sunflower seeds.
Yesterday I tried to get to the gym, however work prevailed and I never made it. God, I work too much!!!!! Ugh
 
not having dressing on your salad was a good option but when you are un able to get to the gym what other exercise have you considered doing ?
 
Sorry everyone my computer was down for a week!!!!! Ugh. Talk about with drawls. But I'm back.
So in answer to the question of what I do for other excercise. I usually can only work. I try to get to the gym but it seems that work over rules most of the time. I try to chase my kids around the house, but some days they are in bed before I get home. I am in the process of setting up my ab lounger so I can at least do that when the gym doesn't seem possible. This way I can get in my excecise but still be at home with the kids.
Since now I have my computer back I'm back to recording what I eat. I will start tomorrow. Thanksgiving was very shameful. Time to start over again. This time get it together and do it right!!!!!!!!
 
K It's a New year. I will now attempt something new. Work will not over come my work out times. I don't want to work myself to death at work. I want to work myself to death at the gym. Would that be a new idea for the world????
It's definitely new for me, since a year ago anyway. I don't make New Years resolutions. Have never been able to follow them anyway. So as usual one day at a time. The holidays were horrible. Too much food. Not so much junk as just food all the way around. And when you're in the stormy weather most people snowed in everywhere around here, what else is there to do but make food. I know I have the will power to stop eating garbage cuz it's been over a year since I stopped drinking soda and I haven't had a cookie at work in the same amount of time. Let me tell you when you nake fresh cookies a couple times a day everyday it sure isn't easy. So until tomorrow.........
 
So of course due to something that always comes up in my life, guess what I didn't get to do today. That's right you guessed it, the gym. However, I have finally found an excercise, or something like it, at home. For Christmas we bought the kids a Wii. I love playing tennis. So everynight I come home and play some tennis and then go about normal business. Boy whi would have thought that a game could work up a sweat. There may not be any running back and forth but the upper body makes up for it. I know this is not a substitute but it works some and I feel better than if I just sit on the couch watching the kids play or watch cartoons. Next to buy for the games is definitely gonna have to be the Wii Fit. That is suppose to be the total deal. So since we are all on flood watch out here, I was needed at home so my husband could go help with the sand bagging deliveries. So again I will try for tomorrow to hit the gym and get in the personal workout all the frustrations time.
