Hangs head in shame....back again***Diary of Kaplooie***

phew, tired this morning. Was an active afternoon yesterday berry picking and taking long walks on a really sandy beach to find J and the kiddo. And then up all night worrying because we had a huge cluster of earthquakes last night, the largest was 6.9 and was a long slow roller. That one didn't generate a tsunami, but we were kinda worried a stronger one could and when they cluster like that its just nerve racking. We had all our go bags packed and ready to head for the hills.

Just got back from the gym this morning, 30 minutes on the elliptical, the weight room was strangely full so I avoided it. Maybe if I have time I'll find some heavy stuff to lift today. Weighed in at 217 this morning so that will be my starting weight for the challenge. Now I'm off to shower and go to work for what David says is going to be a very enjoyable project day. We are rebuilding a porch. Doesn't sound enjoyable to me. I have a feeling I'm going to be pre-painting the lumber today in the warehouse because its raining. And blowing out.

Wow...you are such a busy person! It sounds like you know how to enjoy life...which is great! Glad you are enjoying J..he sounds like a good guy!

I sit on my butt mostly at work, it will be helpful to your newest challenge that your job sounds really active.

Got up early but didn't make it to the gym this morning, was just too lazy. Went and unlocked doors and went back home and went back to sleep for a few hours. Not a very active day for me today. A little running around. Had lunch with J and he's back to work for a few days on a long offload. I'm going to maybe go and work out after my last task is done for work today. I say maybe because I'm feeling pretty unmotivated. I kind of just want to park my butt in my desk chair with a glass of wine and the internet and enter into a vegetative state. I ate a big salad for lunch so no need to cook dinner, the kiddo can fend for himself or eat with his grandparents.

Maybe I'll go berry picking just so I don't feel like I accomplished nothing today, lol! Although, its salmonberry season and I'm not a huge fan. I prefer blueberry season. Those freeze better also. Meh...IDK. If everybody suddenly has a comment in their threads from me tonight you'll know that I chose the internet over the berries.

It's hard when you have those really lazy days. Hope you were able to keep your eating in check. That's what I have issues with when I'm lazy, I tend to stuff my face.

Love salmonberries but you can´t get them here. Hope you are well rested and ready for an efficient new day!

I will be well rested and ready to kick some 6kg challenge butts! I sat here all night, exploring blogs of other low carbers, visiting every bodies diaries, getting motivated on Pinterest, and watching a new episode of Extreme Weightloss on TV...and tomorrow bright and early I will be hitting them gym with a vengeance. And I did manage to keep my eating in check...however, I've had two shots of whiskey *eeeep* I really did love the episode of EWL tonight, I love when they address binge eating disorders because I KNOW I have this disorder and I struggle to control it so much, some days its so easy and some days its not. I have an awesome kiddo though who helps keep me in check. And a great support system in this forum. Thanks Girls and Guys, I love you.

I love EWL! Even though what they show is highly dramatized and what they do is not to be recommended for mere mortals I get totally motivated from watching. Take care.

You are sounding really motivated and keen as a bean! Go you! I hope you enjoy your workout session tomorrow :)

Up early: check
Gym annihilated: check
Now just to stay on plan all day. Going to make some coffee and deliver it to my handsome boyfriend at work, then try and have one hell of a productive day. I have some paperwork and menial tasks in the office and then some running around to do.

That sounds like a good way to start the day...killer workout and a handsome boyfriend! Those things should have put a smile on your face! :)

Go you! Sheesh. I had better get going. I have put a rocket up your collective backsides & you will shoot past me to the sky! :D to handsome boyfriends xo

Thank you all *bows* I will go to the gym again tomorrow because I like starting my day that way.

Today was very productive. As anticipated. I went shopping on my lunch hour and came home and roasted 5 chicken breasts for meals for the next few days and bought the makings of many salads. My bff left today on a vacation and he brought his pepper plants to me to babysit. We are both growing Carolina Reapers and his plants have four peppers growing on them to my 3. Look them up, they are the hottest pepper in the world. We are planning a chili cook-off when we have mature peppers. Chris, the bff, had a friend mail him a CR a few weeks ago so he could try it, he ate a sliver of it and it literally almost killed him, lol. He threw up for hours after eating it. He shaves his head bald and his head was red for HOURS after he ate it also. This gun be good. Its taken forever for our plants to bare fruits though, we germinated the seeds in may. I don't want to brag or anything, but my plants are like, twice the size of his plants...

I'll leave you with this, if you are interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWQnx84cVAk

Be warned. My husband was a 6ft, black-haired brown eyed sailor when we met. He was very fit and toned, had played rugby for his school and was captain of the athletics team. All the girls fancied him. We have been married 40yrs this year, he's still 6ft,but the toned look has gone and the hair is white.

Ooo my! I like a bit of heat but I´m not masochistic enough to try something like that. Also: any parent allowing a 12-year-old to eat a whole one of those things is a reckless @§§#0£€, no matter how well they expect him/her to be able to deal with it. Adults? Go ahead...

Polly: does your husband have any unmarried nephews? ;)

Haha, J still has all his hair right down to his widows peak and at 40 hasn't gone grey yet but he has a nice skin tone that will look good with a tan and white hair ;) Thats thinking too far ahead for me though...things are going good now and I hope they continue to. It would be nice to have a partner in life and not just a boyfriend.

My son, who will be 14 in two months, can't wait to try it after he watched that video. Some kids are just a glutton for punishment, lol! They have tons of videos of that kid eating the hottest peppers in the world back to when he was 10 so its not like he didn't have an inkling of what he was getting into. He was looking pretty worse for wear near the end...we were laughing because at first he couldn't even talk after eating it. :ack2: Eating spicy stuff, for some of us, is a lifestyle and that kid will be the king one day, hahaha!

ugh. I'm not going to the gym today. Woke up with a sore throat, headache, stuffy nose...virus. I wanted to go back to sleep after I woke up and went and unlocked the office building but I came home and did not because I didn't want to wake up and feel like crap again.

I did good yesterday up until I got home from dropping off fajitas to J. Then I inhaled a bowl of macaroni and cheese that my son had left on the stove. A) it wasn't even that good and B)so many carbs. I made 14 fajitas burritos last night, fed one to the kiddo and vacuum packed the other 13 for J for lunches at work. He bought all the supplies for them and they freeze well. I forgot to eat dinner and then BOOM, mac and cheese happened.

I want to get this work day over with, come home and just sleep for like...12 hours. That sounds like heaven.
