Hajni's Diary: I will do it because I can

Hope you get some relief soon. You have probably already tried it, and it's no cure but have you tried a nice long hot bath? Not getting sleep really sux. I never had a problem until my RL tragedies occured last fall. Finally, these past 2 weeks I'm sleeping well and I attribute it to the new exercise routine. Hope you get back to feeling like yourself soon!

Hi Hajni!

So is the lyme disease something that you had in the past that has resurfaced or is this something that has happened recently.

Sorry I haven't been able to keep up with everything. I'm back now so will try to do a better job of it.

Hope you are feeling better.

Take care

Ok, I am back AGAIN!! LOL

Not completely recovered, but still on antibiotics. Still have trouble sleeping, slept like 2 hours yesterday. If this round of antibiotics doesn't help, I will need to be on IV antibiotics, crossing the fingers I don't get there.

For the first time in about 2 weeks yesterday I exercised after work, 45 good min. on the elliptical!! I felt so awesome afterwards!!!! I was so sure it will put me to sleep but it did not happen unfortunately...

Anyway I jumped on the scale this morning and for my great surprise : 147.2!! I really thought I would be topping over 150 by now as I was not watching what I ate in the last week. (there were days I ate like two scones in one sitting, I don't even want to think about how many calories they were!!)

So, back with a vengence, the lbs will go down, skipped exercise this morning due to being at work by 6.30 am, i will probably make up for it tonight.

That's for the update.

Thanks for checking up on me!!

SweatPea: I was diagnosed with lyme disease at the beginning of July but I had it for months prior to that. I had symptoms but they came and went and never came together to suspect anything wrong, I was under a lot of stress at work so I thought all the aches and pains and insomnia was due to that. I already went through a 4 weeks antibiotics treatment and we are not sure if that cured it, so I was put on an additonal 2 weeks. It is a wait and see and meanwhile I have to deal with all the symptoms. I can't wait for this to be over.

Glad that you are feeling well enough to exercise. And what a relief to have the scale show a nice number for ya.

You have been missed!

Holy crap I read about a woman who had it for YEARS before they figgered it out, and people thought she was a hypochondriac and she was miserable. Glad you're getting over it! :D Still running?

Still running, still running.
Nowadays I use my elliptical mashine more but still go to the park on Sundays to run 3 miles.

Today I had to skip exercise, DH wanted to work outside. Tomorrow morning I am planning 45 min on the elliptical.
Food is good, my stomach hurts because of the antibiotics so I have a hard time making my 1500 calories but I don't want to go under that.

Still plugging away, hoping for 146 by next Wednesday.

Good luck to you! Too bad those meds bother your stomach. My stomach is actually rather sensitive. If I drink diet soda even 2 hours before a run--I burp and it actually slows me down! :(

Friday 45 min elliptical, no exercise yesterday, today I am going to run in the park 3 miles.

Food is good, today's weigh in was 145.2, hopefully will go less by Wed, which is my official weigh in and the finish of the 6 week challenge we started at work. I started from 149, so it will be around 4 lbs loss, not bad considering I was sick for most of the time.

I don't have time, we are going on a long weeekend vacation starting next Thursday and I am getting ready. We will go to upstate NY and Vermont, will be camping out.. etc.

official weigh in day and finish of 6 week challenge at work.

Tada!!

144.0 this morning!!! 5 lbs lost in 6 weeks.

We are going on vacation tomorrow night and coming home on Monday night. Hopefully I will make wise choices and not come back higher than I am right now!!!

Woohoo for a 5 lb weight loss in 6wks. I can't wait to start losing weight again instead of worrying if i'm gaining enough. as far as i know based on my scale at home i still haven't gained any weight in the last 2 months. ugh.. my doc is going to be so mad at me.. lol but i can't make my body gain weight if it doesn't want to.. lol specially cause i have 't really been watching what i eat.

anyways hope you had a good vacation and can't wait to chat with you either tomorrow sometime or wednesday as tomorrow is going to be busy for both of us i know that cause your going back to work after being off for 5 days and i'm having doc appts and school..

Vacation was great, very relaxing and I saw a lot of nice things. It was too short though.

So I really didn't watch what I ate so I didn't weigh myself until today and I am happy to report : 143.4 lower than I was before!!

So far so good, only 3.4 more lbs to go. I was here before Christmas and never managed to get lower, so I am determined to really reach 140.

Didn't exercise for a week now, I need to start that tonight.

You are doing awesome! :hurray::hurray::hurray:

I feel so out of the loop here, but am going to try to keep up at least once a week.

Update

Where do I start?

Work has been busy I am working two jobs now. Pretty much 12 hrs/day and some on the weekend. No time for anything.
Just before Christmas I found out I was pregnant, was ecstatic. I lost the baby at 8 weeks. Had a D& C on Jan. 21st (on my 8th yr wedding anniversary) . I am still dealing with the emotional part of it, physically I now feel fine.

I gained about 10 lbs with the pregnancy, ending up at 159.5.
I lost about 8 lbs of that (mostly bloating I am sure) this week. I started to go back to the gym as of Monday, worked out at least 45 min. every day this week. Keeping my calories between 1400-1600/day. So far 7 days into I am doing well.

I have done this before I know I can do it again. Gave myself about 8 weeks to lose the remaining 12lbs. If I keep going like I am now, I might not even need that long.

I can't believe I started this diary about 2007 June, it seems like forever ago.

:hug2::hug2::hug2:

Im so sorry for your loss and all you have been through.

I could never imagine the pain of loosing a baby or a child:(

Hey Hajni have not been here in a while I am so sorry to hear about you lost.I cant belive you have been here since 2007 I was looking at my old journal and it really motivated me to get my butt in line. Ijust hate that I have let myself go and have to start from zero again. I am going to be checking on you.
Take care

Wow ... .
Sorry for all that you have been through.

Glad to see you back on the boards tho! I look forward to keeping in touch!

*hugs*

So i was 153.4 this morning, hmm. My body is probably regulating itself. Not putting too much thought into this number as I know I have been doing well.

doing well with calories and the exercise. I went 25 min on the elliptical yesterday and some strenght-training as well. I was going to do some more but ran out of time.

Today is home probably running 3 miles on the treadmill. Food is about 1500 cals today.

Just taking it one day at a time.
