Hajni's Diary: I will do it because I can

HI All,
I really do feel rotten that I am getting all this support and I was not giving anything back for a long while now. It is going to change.
I did kind of a "cleansing" thing today which is nothing but drinking V-8 all day. We went to my favorite Indian resturant yesterday and yes I did pig out ... badly:piggy::piggy: . I was just so full all day, I did not have an appetite.
I will weigh in tomorrow but already started getting back to my exercise routine. Went to the gym and worked out over an hour tonight and I feel so much better!!!

Gotta run again.
Be back.

Hello Hajani,
How ya been haven't seen ya around on a whille??

NEW YEAR'S:party:

Hajni,

The weight loss you've experienced is no small feat! You have done very well. Set backs will happen, but I know you will get back on track with your determination.

I'm doing the same after holiday eating off track, time to get back on!

Good luck! We're all here for ya!

Hey Hajini!
Sorry I haven't been around so much to encourage and support you.
The holidays just sorta took hold and never let go.
But I am back now.
Lets get this done together!!!

Hello All,
Thanks for visiting, unfortunately I left my power cord to my laptop at work and the battery died on me, so I couldn't log on all day... now I am on my DH's computer and he is already timing me... LOL.
So this morning I weighed in: 146.2 which is considering i even saw 152 the other day is not so bad.
I was all set on going to the gym this morning but the weather ruined my good intentions so I did run on the treadmill and did my home version of boot-camp, exercising a total of 1 hr and 15 min.
Right on track with eating yesterday and today as well.

I AM BACK!! RE-FOCUSED AND RE-MOTIVATED!!
I think I needed this "break". I was reading my diary and seemed around the begining of Dec. is when I started feeling just "tired of it all" and feeling miserable. I ran out of steam. I tried to give my 100% of it at all times and I think it kind of back-fired on me. I am going to be more relaxed this time around. It seems a cheat-day here and there won't stop the progress (I was eating like a pig for a couple of days before Christmas and my weight stayed the same) but gives my body and mind a break.

The cold weather somehow deters me from exercising in my cold basement and I always find myself working harder in the gym anyway. I don't know why, .. some things I just can't explain.
And since I discovered that I can read my favorite books while on the bike I am sooo looking forward to get to the gym and find out what happened in the next chapter...ha-ha. So that said, I told hubby that I would like to go to the gym about 5-6 days a week until better weather comes (March or so). He can't work outside anyway so I am not holding him back from anything. He still works far away so making it home in time is a question but I won't let that stop me. I like to go right from work, that way I am in the gym at 4.45 and back home by 6.15 or so. If i have to come home first and pick up DD from the babysitter and wait for hubby to get home... I would get home from the gym around 7.00 which is pretty late. but I just have to plan accordingly. I might have to rely on more frozen foods instead of trying to cook my lunch the night before... oh well, something for something right?
Will be pretty busy in January with the year end stuff but I will try to log on here as much as I can. I kept a copy of my menu from week to week, so I just pulled out a week from Oct. and follow that. All calories are calculated already.. it is so much easier.
I have to run now, tomorrow I am visiting diaries I promise.
HERE IS A BIG YEAH FOR A NEW YEAR!!!
Edit: After reaching 143 I re-evaluated my goal and I think I would be happier at 130.. For now it is what I set my mind on but I have a feeling I will be very flexible with this... LOL

Thanks for stopping by!! No, I won't quit the forum, and I will be focused but maybe take it easier this time around.
I am going to try to get rid of this annoying belly I have. Even at 143, my stomach looks like I am about 6 mo pregnant. Of course I wear clothing that hides that but I know and it does bother me.
So I will be around for a while.

ok, so the scale this morning showed 147.6 which is probably more accurate than the 146.2, so i changed my ticker.
Did my morning 2 miles on my NT, but I noticed a sharp pain on my left side yesterday and this morning as well. It is strange as I have not experienced this before (not even when I started exercising at the beginning) so I am just going to keep an eye on it.
My food is planned, and I am going to the gym after work as well. I am so looking forward to working out in the gym.. i actually love working up a sweat and feel so good after.
now trying to figure out my goal for V-day challenge. I think it is 6 weeks challenge.
Depends on my starting weight on Friday, I am going to try to lose an average of 1.4 lbs per week so 8.4 lbs is all by Febr. 15th.

Hey Haj!
I didn't join the Valentine challenge but have set a mini-goal for myself to be down to 185 by Valentine's Day. That puts me at about 2-2 1/2 pounds a week. Which I think is doable. Especially when I go back and look at my #'s from the Halloween Challenge.
So here is to the both of us meeting our first goals of the year!

Way to get back on track! Do keep an eye on that pain and have it checked out if necessary.

I hope we are on the same team again!

WOW it's good to see your back at it and ready to ROCK & ROLL!!! I have no doubt you will be down a few pounds by the end of this week. I think we all got off track for a few weeks in December, but that is all now behind us and it's time to get it pushing forward again!!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU!! I can't wait to see your next weigh in results.
HUGS!
Kim

Today is the start of the V-day challenge, weighed in at 147. Goal to be 141 by Jan 31st and then 138 by Febr 14th.
yesterday's calories : 1405 and exercised 750 cals off. Went to the gym after work and had an awesome work-out. The advantages of going later are many: not many people, so I just jump around as much as I want and when I get home late, I just eat dinner and have no time or appetite for late-night snacking.
Planning to go to the gym tonight as well, our instructor is not back yet so I am not sure we will have boot-camp but either way I am going.

I feel so good, I am glad I am back into it!!!
Oh, and the pain I mentioned before is gone. good sign. I think I was just out of shape and did too much too soon but everything is back to normal now.

let's rock 2008!!!!!

Glad to hear that the pain is gone.
And way to rock it out last night!!!!
Good Luck with your challenge though I am sure that you really don't need it!
You are always awesome on these challenges!!!

Thanks Bella!! I surprised myself on the Halloween challenge and I am going to try my hardest to match that progress.. we'll see.

Ok, now I am worried I won't make the class tonight. DH is working far away still and might not make it home in time... oh no... I really-really want to go!!!
I have my fitness gear in my car all ready to go just in case he calls and says he can make it, then I would go right from work.
We have the viewing tonight for DH's grandma and tomorrow is the funeral.
I need to hurry home so we can all go.

Ok, I made the gym last night!! Our instructor was not there but the ladies in the class did the boot-camp anyway, I sooo enjoyed it!! Just before class i had about 20 min to spare so I tried this new thing I won't be able to tell the name but it is kind of like a sliding carpet, put on some nylon on your shoes and you slide side to side on it... boy it works the inner thighs like crazy and kept my heart-rate higher then running. Once again a completely innocent looking thing.... i have been going to the gym for over a year now and I still discover different ways to work-out... it is great!!
Calories were 1345 and burned 750 with exercise.
got up early today and ran on the NT for 27 min... burning 200 cals. still going to hit the gym tonight. My clothes are already fitting better than they did last week.
Hoping to lose a good 2 lbs by next Thursday, now I just have to be motivated through the weekend which is always the hardest.
My anniversary is coming up on the 21st, 7 years and still going strong.. I think the poor man is stuck with me for life... :hurray:
ok, gotta run.

Way to pound it out Haj!!!
Sounds like he is pretty content to be *STUCK* with you! LOL
Keep your eye on the goal. You can make it thru the weekend. Just read all the cals and think how hard it would be to burn them off. Then ask yourself "is it worth it?" If "yes" go for it! If 'no" then drop that sticky bun and run!!! LOL
Have a Great Weekend!

I am going to try to do my hardest this weekend!! If I can make it through the weekend everything is going to be ok..
Went to the gym after work and now I am exhausted. 5 days in a row exercising twice a day is a bit much, I need to reduce that.
My boss just gave me a PECAN PIE to bring home to my DH (my boss knows I am on a diet), OMG that thing is full of calories. and yes, I had one teaspoonful cheat... have no idea how many calories

Those sliding things used to be all the rage - probably back in the 80's - sounds like they're bringing them back!

Have a great weekend!
