Hajni's Diary: I will do it because I can

Thanks for the birthday wishes!! I appreciate it. I do not feel any more older than last year at this time LOL. As far as I am concerned, the birthdays can just stop now, and I stay where I am !!! :cool:So today was OK, not spectacular as expected. Hubby was going to do a surprise for me but then turn out he did not make an appointment so, no surprise... at least not today.
We just went for a walk together and then went to Panera Bread to eat lunch. First I wanted to choose a soup in bread-bowl, boy they looked sooo yummy!! Then I reasoned with myselfand I proudly report: I WAS REALLY GOOD AND MADE VERY HEALTHY CHOICES, STAYING WITHIN MY CALORIES. Yes, you can eat healthy when eating out!!!
When I got home I looked at their website for the calories and I came out great!! The breakdown is under my lunch.
Also I was thinking of skipping exercise but i already had a rest-day this week, so I just had to do it.

Breakfast: 2 frozen waffles (150), 2 tbs sgf jelly (20), 1 c. ff milk (90), 1 tbs sgf choc. Syrup (12), coffee (50), 1 tbs wheat germ (25) 1 tbs walnuts (50) 2 tbs ff whip cream (25) = 422

Snack: 1 apple (120) = 120

Lunch: AT PANERA BREAD :8 oz. low fat vegetable soup (80), ½ orchard salad (210 w/ dressing but I asked it w/o dressing maybe 150?), fresh fruit cup (70), 1 jello pudding (60)= 360 `

Snack : 1 slim a bear ice cream (100), 1/3 c. fruit trail mix (235) = 335:eek:

Dinner: 5.6 oz light baked tofu (80), 2 slices ww bread (80), 2 c. lettuce (10), 1 tomato (10)= 180

Dessert : 1 jello (10)
Total calories for the day : 1427

Exercise: 45 min turbo jam and 2 miles running, burning 600 cal.


Calorie Deficit: about 980
 
Weigh in day!!!

WHOOOOO, WEIGH IN DAY!!!
I saw the same number on the scale yesterday which pretty much shocked me as I was 158.2 just the day before..... but it stayed for today also!!!!!
So I am 156.4, that is a 1.6 lbs loss for the week. Based on my calorie calculations it is right on, but since all the way up to Thursday it looked as if this week was not going to be any significant loss I AM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW...
This is exactly the motivation I need to stay on track.
I guess this bonus challenge this week will work out for me after all, as signs of TOM are approaching and I hate to look at the scale when it shows like 3 lbs more!!! Even when i know it is only water weight.
So darn happy!!! All my hard work is paying off and I see the changes from day to day!! Fitting into my clothes, "feeling" lighter, being in a better mood...
Today is my exercise rest day, but I might switch that to tomorrow as outside is a mess and we were going to go to town today and just walk around with my daughter...

Woohoo Hajni, Congrats on the 1.6 lb loss i only lost 0.2 lbs this week which is really weird but i guess it cause i'm gaining muscle while burning fat as i just started using the elliptical instead of just doing my walking and weights.. lol my legs do feel quite a bit firmer then they had before i got my elliptical so thats a plus.. even when the weight doesn't go down on the scale. As long as it doesn't go up then thats a good thing. :) well I'll talk to you later hope you have a great day.

Thanks everybody for stopping by. Today was the lazyest day ever.
we were just hanging out till 11.00 am when it finally cleared and went to Hardscrabble day. Wasn't anything exiting, but at least I got to walk around a little bit. My daughter is coming down with a cold so she is being miserable, I feel so bad for her. Came home around 2 pm, then I took a 2 hr nap :cool: and now just hanging out again. Hubby is working outside though, I feel bad not doing anything, but it feels so good!!!:rotflmao:
Food was good, and i really try to keep it low as I was not going to exercise today. I got a little carried away with the FF whip cream there, but still ok for today.

Breakfast: 1 c. egg beaters (120), 2 s ww bread (80), 2 tbs sgf jelly (20) 1 ff plain yogurt (80), 1 c. broccoli (25), coffee (50), 1 plum (35) = 410

Snack: 1/3 c. trail mix (235) = 235, 1 breakfast bar (100) = 335

Lunch: none

Snack : 1 jello (10), 1 100 cal snack pack (100), 1 Orange (80)= 190

Dinner: Veggie burger (80) 2 ww tortilla, (100), garlic, onions, bell pepper (30), ¼ c. fat free cheese ( 45), 2 c. lettuce (10), = 265

Dessert : 1 jello (10), 8 tbs ff whip cream:rolleyes: (60) = 70

Total calories for the day : 1270

Exercise. None, rest day

Calorie Deficit: 530

So now I am ready for this week's bonus. I am going to try my hardest not looking at my weight... I think it will require some drastic measures, like DH hide the scale in his car or something.. LOL

One of the many mini-goals for me was to have my wedding ring fit me again. I was not able to wear it since 2004 November or so. My hubby took off his, saying if I am not wearing mine he is not wearing his either. Somehow it escaped him that I was NOT ABLE to wear mine, since it did not fit.
Well, proudly report: as of last night I can wear my wedding band again!!!And it comes on and off without much struggle, but even if I lose more weight it still should be fitting just nice.
Small victories like this making me keep going!!!

Today was hard though with the new bonus for this week. I had a very hard time with my scale telling me just this once.... but I quickly made some tea and started drinking that, it got rid of the urge since I know the measurement would have been off after I drank something.

Today is my cooking day, DD will be watched by my mother-in-law and I think I over-heard a "surprise"-party for me tonight. Supposedly including Healthy food!! Well, I see that, no offense to MIL and I love her very much, but she has no idea about what "HEALTHY FOOD" means. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised. I will let you all know later.

Ha-ha Yarmiah,not a bad idea but I don't even have an engagement ring! The only jewelry I own is my wedding band. I am not much for jewelry which makes DH happy very much!!
I have to think about something else for my goal!!

Just came back from my b.day party at MIL's . Well, they did have pizza, but I bought my own food (they live right across the street from us.) and stuck to it. When it came to desserts, they bought Edy's slow churned vanilla sugar free ice cream 90 cal/1/2 cup so I had to try it. It still fit into my calories, I only went over my planned 1500 cal, with like a 100 cal, so all and all I could have been a lot worse.

Breakfast: 1 Weight control cereal (160), 3 Morningstar Farms Breakfast Links (120), 2 wasa breads (60), 2 tbs sgf jelly (20), 1 coffee (50) = 410

Snack: none

Lunch: 3/4 c. lentil soup (80), ½ c. ff cottage cheese (80), 1/3 c frozen blueberries (26), 2 ww bread (80), 1 tbs red. Fat p. butter (90), 1 tbs sgf jelly (10) 1 peach (70) = 436

Snack : 1/3 c. apple juice (36) 1 c. ff milk (90), 2/3 c. frozen blueberries (52), 1 slim-a-bear ice cream sandwich (100)= 278

Dinner: 1 veggie burger (90), 2 ww bread (80), 1 . c lettuce (10), 1 c. ff milk (90), 1 tbs choc. Syrup (12) = 282

Dessert : 1 c. Edy’s slow churned sugar free ice cream (180)

Total calories for the day : 1586

Exercise. 20 min turbo jam, 25 min boot-camp, 36 min running (2.75 mi) = 750 cal burn


Calorie Deficit: 964 not much under my planned 1000.
 
Great day

Work was crazy today, so busy with being out last Friday. I always pay for a day like that. LOL
i feel at work it is so much easier for me to keep on track for multiple reasons: I am always so busy, I have no time to think about food or munch on anything. And since I pre-pack my food for the next day, I always have the calorie control. I don't have to worry about over-eating at lunch, or eating one too many snacks.
When I am home I find myself looking it the pantry to see what's there... LOL
I didn't realize my calorie burn today was way out there. I had a chance to get to the gym early so I just jumped on the elliptical and read my book, the next time I know it was time for boot-camp. So I might have something around 100 cal later as too much of a calorie deficit is counter-productive.
Off to plan my tomorrow's food and put it together with my daughter's lunch and such. It is never endiing.... :cool:

Breakfast:
2 ww. Bread (80), 1 tbs red fat p. butter (90), 1 tbs sgf jelly (10), 6 oz ff plain yougurt (80) , 1 plum (35), 1 coffee (50) = 345

Snack:

Dinner: 2.5 oz tofu (40), 1 tomato (10), , 2 c. salad (10), Rice Pilaf (w/mushrooms, peas, carrots, rice ) (200), 1 Quorn chicken breast (80)= 340

Dessert : 1 jello (10), 6 tbs ff whip cream (45), 1 peach (70) =125

Total calories for the day : 1480

Exercise. Morning: 42 min walking on treadmill (2.5 mi), 5 % incline, 3.6 mi/hr burning 350 cal., evening: 35 min treadmill (300 cal), 30 min boot-camp (250)= 900 cal burn

Calorie Deficit: 1220 a little too high

Did pretty good today, kept on track with food and I still have my night exercise to do, but I will update that later. I already have my tomorrow's food list together and planned out.

Dinner: 6 oz plain ff yogurt, (80), 1 c. milk (90), 1/2 frozen banana (55 ),1/3 c. frozen blueberries (26) 2 ww bread (80), 2 tbs sgf jelly (20) = 350

Total calories for the day : 1368

Exercise. 40 min walk on treadmill at 3.7 mi/hr, 5 % incline (2.5 miles) = 325 cal burn
20 min turbo jam, 1 mile running on treadmill = 300 cal burn, together 625 for today

Calorie Deficit: 1057

I feel I am working harder this week, because this scale thing challenge. Since I can't see the progress (or no progress), I am scared of jumping on it on Sat. and seeing the same number as last week or worse seeing a higher number. Which I have a great chance since TOM is toying with me. I thought earlier the week it was here for sure, turned out to be not and now I have no idea what is going on, spotting for the last 5 days straight. It is very annoying and I am ready for it to be over with.
I feel bad not visiting more diaries, in fact I only look at my subscribed threads anymore, I don't even look at any new posts or anything and that is not good. Hopefully work will slow down and at home it will be slower too. Been having business meetings for the last two days at home after work and pretty busy with my daughter.
Ok, have everybody a good night. I just sat down for the first time today and it is 8.45pm. I need a day of lazyness, w/o the world!!

Hey Hajni, I have no clue how you do it when you work full time plus have a 2 year old to deal with on top of bringing home meetings from work.. yuck. you do need some time... without any disruptions... thats for sure. Anyways hope your doing good today and not working to hard. I'm really getting the hang of things just need to keep it up so i can keep doing this whole weightloss thing without my body going into starvation mode or anything like that. i'll see you later.

So TOM finally IS here, meaning I am dying of cramping today. I am still determined to do some exercise tonight, will update that later. UPDATE: I did get my night exercises in . After the first mile the running was a lot easier, I am glad I did it and burned some more calories.

Dinner: Mixed veggies steamed with sauce (180), 1 Quorn chicken patty (150) =330

Dessert: 1 jello pudding (60), 1 jello (10), trail mix (100?) = 170

Total calories for the day : 1434


Exercise; 38 min walk on treadmill at 5 % incline, 3.5 mi/hr (2.25 miles) = 275 cal.
night: 2.25 mile jog/run, took 33 min total burning 300 cal.
Calorie Deficit: 941 pretty good considering TOM.

hey don't feel bad I'm surprised i could get in 30 minutes on the elliptical today due to cramping so dang bad. Tom arrived for me shortly after breakfast time this morning.. ugh it sucks why must we deal with all this when men hardly ever have to deal with any pain at all. anyways i'll talk to you later need to figure out what we are having for dinner.
