Guideon's diary of change

hmm it appears to be a bit more than just pirate legs. Knee doesn't feel quite a 100%.
Better take it slow for a week or so and see where I am at then. Don't want to jeopardize my hiking trip in august.
So looks like a little bit more cardio the coming week.

Didn't do 30ds yesterday, so better make sure I do it today (and well, everyday until sunday).

My knee is still hurting from my fall over a month ago. I take it easy during some of the stuff on Focus T25 to make sure I don't make it worse. Nothing worse than really hurting yourself and then you can't exercise at all! Just take it a bit easier and be careful.

Sorry to hear about your knee. I hope it gets better soon. As you said, just take it easy and try to rest it a bit so it can heal up.

Thanks all! :beating:
It's nothing major, just a warning sign to take it slow I guess. So that's what I'll do. Got to listen to my body :)

I thought of a new workout, I'm gonna go visit my folks in two weeks time, on my bike. Should be somewhere around 80-90 km. Sleep there, and cycle back the next day.
Plenty of exercise :D

being on my selfimposed rest is :cuss:, I want to run.
My bike is at the bikeshop, getting maintenance (was needed, and don't want to break down halfway to my parent's house). So I am hiking a bit and doing 30ds workouts
So I'm guessing there will not a loss to celebrate this week (anticipating a gain even, because... Beer *burp*)

So have to reset, refocus and become a weightloss machine again. I'm planning to not run for at least one more week, so it'll be difficult to get it going this week. I am sure that reading all your journals for inspiration will help me do that.

Wow! That'll be quite the ride, but I'm sure it'll be a great one for you. This may be a stupid question, but do you deal with snow where you are during the winter? It would be great if you were in an area where you could just ride your bike all year round.

Yeah we do get snow here, so in the winter I'm probably on my stationary bike in the comfort of the livingroom :)

Been out riding today, 34 km.
Even had a peculiar traffic jam:

Brawny enters wearing professors robes and carrying a large book:
Regular reset and refocus is essential for success in any long term goal.

thanks guys, your regular visits makes it fun :)

Decided to give up on 30ds for a while, all those squats are not doing my knees any good, so I'll keep on riding until I can run again.

Little over two weeks to go until the hiking trip, really looking forward to that!

You can try and see if Focus T25 is better. It does have squats and jumping and stuff, but it's not every day like 30ds because each day is different. Plus the person doing the modified stuff is doing low impact. So it may be better for you.

I have an injured knee and I can still do the workouts. I do have to follow the girl doing the modifications for a bunch of stuff, but whatever! It still is challenging!

Yeah I heard Tanya is doing the modified moves in Focus T25, which is weird, she was a beast in Insanity. But I believe she had a child in between so that might explain it.
Planning to start Focus T25 when I'm back from my hiking trip.

Got my bike back from the repairshop yesterday, so I just had to take it out. Was raining most of the 48 km ride but that's ok, kind of refreshing. And Boy it was a smooth ride. Was like riding a new bike. Already looking forward next weekend's trip :)
