Guideon's diary of change

The beers were good, I enjoyed them in excellent company, had a few laughs.

Today I woke bright and early to a nice sunshine, so why not get my running done before 09.00 o'clock?
Making excellent progress in my shedule, today I had a total distance of 6.4 km in just over 33 mins. That's an avg of 11.4 km/, even with 4 2-mins intervals of walking in there.
Must go ahead and pick a 5k race soon, in a week or two I'm totally ready to do a 5 k race :)

Now what to do with the rest of my day?
Should I take my bike out on a ride later this afternoon?

@Don Keykong, you're a seafoodchef AND a beerbrewer? Damn, I must come and visit in Oregon one day :D

Double-day after all, just did a 50 km bikeride :)
Wonderfull weather, thoiugh the headwind wasn't that enjoyable at the end

Thanks Mystic.

Hmm not the best choice fooodwise yesterday, went to a greek restaurant with a friend.
Got a few days before next weigh in to work that off :)
Weather is getting better here, so probably a few more bike rides this week.

Pfft couple of worthless days, everybody at work is either on holiday or called in sick. Feels like I'm the one left picking up the slack.
Had to shuffle my work out schedule a bit to fit in the extra hours at work. Luckily I managed to get another bikeride done on monday, 46 km's. Very nice cardio workout.
No running today, absolutely not in the mood to change into my running gear and drive to my favorite (at up till now still my only) running spot, after I came home.
So did the cardio recovery & balance workout of Insanity instead. For a recovery exercise that was still a pretty sweaty workout :)

Told my boss I'll be only doing my normal hours tomorrow, no overtime.
So looking pretty good to do my run then.

Then thursday weigh-in, not sure if there's gonna be a loss at all, with the fairly poor weekend I had with eating.
But we'll see what it brings, if it's not a loss I just have to be better next week!

Now I'm off to bed, pretty beat right now.

Thanks Mystic, felt good to do that workout, even though it took some willpower to drag my ass off the couch.

Went for a run again today.
did 3 km, then 1m 30 sec at walking pace and running again the rest of the way to complete the (nearly) 5 km's.
Getting very close allready to doing that 5k in one go. Yay :)

Nice progress on your running. Dragging the ass off the couch is the hardest part of the workout some days. I can't wait to get back to it. I'll be walking this evening. It's a first step to getting back to running.

hmpf, as expected no positive news from the scales this morning. Even a very slight gain (was 205,2 now 205,4)
Bad weekend had its consequences.
Kind of fed up with hoovering round the 205 mark, want to leave the 200's...

Have to start make better choices, so I'm guessing I should skip the BBQ this saturday I was invited to. Normally I wouldn't be too worried about a BBQ, but this one isn't your sophisticated BBQ, there will be only two ingredients there: meat and beer. That's it, not even a salad or a baguette. It's like walking into a trap, no good choices to be made there.

Sorry about your weight not acting like it should.
Couldn't you bring a bowl of salad or low fat cole slaw?

Well technically my weight is acting like it should, I myself am the cause of it not going down like I want it to.

Thought about bringing something myself to the BBQ, but it might be better not to go.
Sometimes choosing to lose weight and changing your lifestyle is saying no to some things/events, to avoid getting tempted.

You could be experiencing fluid retention from changing up your workouts (doing double days). When I started 30 Day Shred I stayed the same weight for a good 3 weeks (even went up 0.2 on the 3rd week) then finally lost a bit on the 4th workout, however my body changed the most in that month than it had in the last several months.

My body was/is retaining something allright :)
Did a 47 km bikeride yesterday. Kept my HR in the fatburning zone, and this morning I got up on the scales again and it was 204.0
Pretty obvious I didn't burn the pound with the bike ride (alltough how good would it be if it did? I'd never got off my bike again :D )
So allthough I consider that number unofficial, it's a good way to start the weekend.

Have a great weekend everyone :)

Thanks for your concern, but I've been doing this for afew years now, and I know at least half of it is won or lost in the kitchen.
It's not about losing weight alone anymore for me.
It's also about getting and staying healthy, and challenging myself to do new things.

Started a new cycle of weighttraining and HIIT and continuing with my runningschedule. Which means double-days are back again, starting tomorrow.
