Hi everyone,
Found myself kind of abusing the Club 200+ thread as a diary, so time to create a diary here.
The essentials:
Male, 37, from the Netherlands.
Gained lots of weight when in college (mostly from alcohol and very poor food choices). Didn't exercise one bit.
Feb 2010 was my watershed moment. Up to that point I was kinda OK with my weight. It wasn't that much, couldn't be more than 100 kg (220 lbs) I kept saying to myself.
Well, that bubble bursted when I stepped on the scale. First of all, I needed a new scale, the one I got only went to 120 kg.
So new scale showed 123 kg (272 lbs), a whopping 23 kg more than I always (foolishly) thought.
During 2010 I lost 30 kg (65 lbs), by cutting calories, eating healthier and working out. I started with P90, then "graduated" to P90M, and also went hiking, together with my parents (which had an added benefit of reconnecting with them again after drifting apart since leaving home for college) and go biking a lot during summer.
2011 and most of 2012 was spent by feeling good, and still exercising, but not as vigorously as before. Gained weight because of it.
Sept 2012 saw a weight of 102 kg (225 lbs) , I was going in the wrong direction again.
So I decided to go at it again.
Picked up P90X and was doing well until the holiday season... Ugh, back to the 100 kg realm (220ies) in no time at all.
No more of that, I'm finished with the triple kilo digits and leaving the 200 lbs club.
Finished my P90X program and immediately started Insanity after that.
Insanity program is also done now and this week I started a P90X - Insanity hybrid program.
Results are awesome since Christmas 2012:
Started at 102 kg (225lbs), today I weighed in at 93 kg (206 lbs).
Ultimate goal is to get to 85 kg (187 lbs), hopefully somewhere before Nov this year, need a beachbody by then, as I'm going to the Caribbean then
What I've experienced so far since feb 2010:
lost 30 kg (66 lbs)
gone from waist size 42" to 34"
spent lots of money on replacing my XXL wardrobe with L (some cases even a M!)
Completed a Kennedy March (50 mile march http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kennedy_march)
Feeling much better about myself!
Thanks for reading if you got this far
