Ok I apologize for coming across rather vulgar, I am not used to those kind of situations, if it takes a long time for the interview process, as in several weeks than so be it. I guess it's more, like we just don't know what the other person is also capable of, maybe they came in and did just what you did last week too, so it makes things harder.
I just feel most employer's can't expect someone to stay their entire lives, if it happens, great for them! I guess it is just easier for companies and what not to do that at people's expenses when there are loads more ppl looking for a well paid job right now.
Answering the post above:
You assertively tell them the truth. Tell them where you stand. It lets them know, "oh this person is up-front with us", she has the skills we're looking for, we might really like for her to be a part of our team, but she is in waiting for another job, maybe we'll give her our time-line for when she can let us know if she can take this position...Sometimes Maybe, sometimes maybe not.
