eminem - lose yourself
An older one - I get knocked down - Chumbawamba

I hope you feel better soon!

Well it looks like music will be my friend for this run. Its cool though I have major goals in life and none of them have to do with standing still.

Today I was trying to get some rest as I have been going going going and I didn't work out today. In my attempting to sleep in my little girl decided to wake up at 6am so my sleep in just didnt work. Then she fell asleep at about 7am and didn't wake up through her neb/geting dressed/or washed up . So tomorrow I will get a fresh start.

I have decided that one day I want to make it my business to be accepted and actually run the Boston Marathon. The link to the story below made me want to do it even more. This story is incredible and I wish all of us had this same determination in life. Please watch the video clip cause you can't get the fullness of it if you don't.

If you are at work you may want to look at this at home cause my eyes were welling with tears by the end. Let me know what you all think!

Hiya Speedy!! Just checking in on you - the boston marathon! Woo! Good Luck with that - I know you can do it if you put your mind to it. And I HAVE to have music during my walks or i'd go batty!!..lol

Bawling here! Not a good one to watch at work. What a beautiful man to do all of that! :)

My husband ran in the Boston marathon a long time ago. When I met him, about 10 years ago, I didn't even know what it was and asked if he came in first place!  He told me that some people died in the middle of it! That shocked me! Can't believe that guy pushed a wheelchair in it too! OMG!

That is a great goal to have! I know you can do it someday!

I was boohooin to Dreamy!!

Well today I decided that I will no longer diet. It is pointless. I haven't had carbs in like a week and I am irritable not to mention that I am all stopped up. I would love to go poo! So I have decided to do better with my portions etc.
I will start Monday!:D Unitl then I am doing whatever to get unplugged!

LOL Speedikins (somehow I had to call you that...I'll stop I promise! :D ). You need that fiber for sure! I think moderation is key. You could up your protein a little and lessen the carbs. I am going to try for a little more protein myself. Carbs (except starchy ones) are staying in my new way of life!

Yup great idea not to diet. Not only do we have to lose all this weight, we have to keep it off. If I really want something I eat it...If I want a lot (and have control at that moment! ) I try to think that I can always have more the next day! It's not like I can't eat chocolate or pasta or...

I don't deny myself anything and it feels good. Feels right!

I'm learning (at this point) to control my slip ups if that makes sense. I aim for 1000-1200 calories but allow an extra 200-300 for the slip up factor.

I don't care if you call me Speedikins! I just called your Dreamy!:D

You are so right about the whole portion control but you know how you wanna see results right now! Thats me although it took me about 3 years to put on this lovely 30pounds (including a pregnancy). I just want to look cute in a pair of jeans that's all. Without the haning flab over the top of them. I look like an over filled muffin!

LMAO - Oh I know all about that! The last time I tried to go out on the town with hubby, I wore some control underwear..girdle..whatever they are called. Sure the lower part looked a bit better and I could zip up the pants but the "over filled muffin" doubled in size! :D

Hey I finally made it over I am so sorry I havent yet...Anyway...Im all for calorie counting rather than carbs...I counted my carbs dropped abt 30 lbs but put half of them back on after wards...as far as me, I have a physical job and worked out at least 3 times a week and still wasnt loosing, once I step up my exercise and started calorie counting it started coming off...you mentioned a pregnancy...so, LOL...I am assumign you have at least one child...it is hard with a family and children...fitting in enough exercise for me to loose weight isnt easy...Im a sinlge mom to two...hence the name, lol...but if I can do it you sure can...I will make a point of checkin up on you regularly...I finally dropped 2.5 lbs but I did 405 mins of exercise on top of my physical job this week...*UGH* LOL...take care will check in soon, oh and Tae Bo really works maybe you should look into doing some of it...for 30 mins it burns 500 cals...and have you joined sparkspeople ? ...it is great i use it daily and religiously, if you havent yet maybe you should give it a try :):):) ... see you soon

hello Twolilangels/Kdel!

Thanks for stopping by. I weighed in this morning and saw that I was 2 pounds over what I was so I gained! UGH but not to worry I am not falling completely off the wagon today is another day and I must move on.

I am going to start my training for my 5k tomorrow. My daughter is doing it with me she's 12 I hope she can handle it. Shoot's I hope I can handle it!

Well anyswho I better go I will see you all or hear you all on monday unless I get the chance to pop back in!

I go up and down all the time...sometimes I think your weight goes up a little bit before it goes down again. That's just what I noticed because I'm always glued to the scale.

I think you need to do whatever works for you! It's different for everyone. I went on Atkins (I'm sure you've heard of it - ultimate low carb diet) and followed it 100% for almost a month and didn't lose a thing. My father lost 20 pounds in a few weeks on it...so it all depends.

You are doin great! :D

Hello journal I haven't confessed in such a long time......

Well I haven't written in a long time but I have been doing okay. I ran yesterday just 1 mile my chins were killing me. So I decided to change it up a bit and do the eliptical machine with it. I did 2.50 miles on that. Today I finally talked my friend into going to the gym with me. We are eating really strict to help us loos well not really strict just cutting back a bit and leaving treat days till Saturday. So heres the sched..

Monday Cardio
Tuesday light cardio w/weights
Wednesday Cardio
Thursday light cardio w/weights
Friday Cardio
Saturday Yoga

My eating is basically
no refined flour, sugar etc.
no fried foods
only 100% whole grains pasta/bread/rice etc.
I am having my protiens early in the day and veggies with complex carbs at night
Lots of fresh fruits and veggies
Tons and tons and tons of water

Today I ate:
M1- 1 egg 1 peice of sausage (pork. Next time it will be turkey!)
M2- bowl of beef & veggie stew
M3- 1/2 of south beach peanut butter bar
M4- larg honey crisp apple
(Edit) M5- chicken tenders too many!!

Just after I put that I wouldn't have fried foods I find myself in a bind where I have to eat and drive so I got the only thing I could think of.

I feel really good about my plan no I just have to stick with it. Right now I weigh in at 203. Not too bad cause I was up more than that.

Beautiful plans. Your exercise looks really good and so does your new food plan! Awesome! I am doing about the same but sometimes I eat a processed treat...I don't deny myself anything in small quanitites and now I don't crave bad stuff as much because it isn't taboo.

"I am having my protiens early in the day and veggies with complex carbs at night"... What is your reasoning behind this? I've heard it should be opposite...carbs in the early day (in order to burn them off) and protein at night...I've also heard in recent times that some say it doesn't matter when you eat carbs...

Anyone know about this?

(You are doing just amazing dear!)

Keep on keeping on!!! Remain focused. You can win the battle of the bulge!!!! Wooooooohooooooo!!!!!

Well I have read a few times that meat is harder to digest so I figure if I eat that early and carbs late because the digest easier. I am concerned about my digestive system more than burning calories at night. I don't want to sleep on heavy food.
