ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooookay
so that plan is to lose weight
HOWEVER
i'm not going to set a schedule or calorie limit or anything just yet, as i know i always fail at that, so i'm just going to take things one day at a time and say i will be healthy from now on.
i definitely need to start exercising, that's for sure! regular exercise for more than 5 minutes. so here goes...

SW - 266
GW1 - 210
GW2 - 196
GW3 - 140
UGW - 112 (it's going to take me a loooooooooooong time but i'll get there!)

so i just weighed myself and it turns out i'm 265, so that's 1lb off my mind haha, i know it's probably water weight because i've done nothing since yesterday but it stilll feels good.
today so far i've not been too healthy to be honest. for breakfast i had 2 pieces of toast, average really. for lunch i had half a mushroom pate sandwich, so overall today, so far, i've probably eaten around 450 calories. not too bad really, but not healthy. i need to step up the amount of fruit and veg i eat.
later on, for dinner, i'm having vegetable fajitas - hopefully they'll be filling and healthy.
and maybe i'll go for a walk to start getting fit :) sweet

so i had dinner, 1 vegetable fajita wrap with veggies, kidney beans, some lettuce and spring onions thrown in, in a seeded tortilla wrap. was nice but not very filling, so i had a yoghurt too. so that's about 350 calories all together, 800 if i include the stuff from before. i also just had another 1/2 sandwich, which probably bumps the calories up to about 1200, and it wasan't healthy, so i'm a bit disappointed but hey, i'll do better tomorrow.

Welcome, Nemo. One day at time helps! Good luck on your journey! Do you think you'll do any planning at all? Even if its just one day at a time?

welcome Nemo!Good luck on your new begining!!!I myself find it hard to calorie count but heard that it works great for people. If you dont do that , you most likely know the good and bad foods!Dont go hungry.Keep healthy snacks in your fridge , carrots and apples are great and load on the salads!!!

thanks ashy and jasper! :D
i am definitely feeling good today, had a big bowl of meusli this morning to get me going, and went for a swim from 9 til 11am :) and had a cous-cous salad for lunch. filling up on my meals (which release energy slowly) so i don't snack later. i have a really hard time when i let myself snack because i think 'ahh another one won't hurt' and then i end up stuffing my face with awful things. but i'm all for adding healthy bits to meals, like fruit as dessert or something :)
i will plan eventually, at the moment i'm hoping to be a 1 stone down by the end of july, but it's not really a plan, just a hope. from august, when i have more time to set schedules so i don't fall off track then i'll be setting goals here there and everywhere :)
for now, just one day at a time seems to be working fine :)

Sounds like you're happy and ready to go. I love swimming. :) Just need to actually do it.

:) thank you thank you
i am very ready - i've been this way for far too long it's time to get happy and healthy :D

had dinner earlier - tomato and cheese tortelloni (or however you spell it.. pasta basically) with a rocket, basil and lettuce salad. i loooooove pasta, so it was hard to stick to one portion but i managed. i have one of those cup things that tells you how much of something is 1 portion, and way very surprised to find out how HUGE my portion sizes have been before compared to what's "normal". hoping to sleep well tonight, off to bed now :)

Hi, glad to see things r going well for u so far. I was 229 when I started on sat and I also want to lose a stone by august 2nd. Perhaps we can help each other out, motivate and support each other. I need to lose a stone by 2nd august. Failing is not an option for me I must do this!

I used to love pasta too, but college came and I got sick of it! It was my cheap and easy meal for many of nights.

ah pasta has been my favourite food since i was a little kid so i doubt i could get sick of it :)
HI ski bunnie :D that sounds great! self-motivation isn't my strong point so getting some help from someone else sounds wonderful :) why the 2nd august for you? i'm really hoping to move in early august, that's why my goal is 31st of july. starting a fresh and all that.

today i went for a jog at 5:30am! crazy, i know! but i just felt really psyched up and i'm so happy i did it. i jogged to the bike-track and back, which is about a 1/2 a mile each way. i did a bit of meditating at the bike-track too. i'm not usually one for meditating but i just thought it was a beautiful morning i felt like someone was smiling down on me for doing a good thing (my jog) so i thought it would be nice :) which it was. i'll be going up to yorkshire for a few days for my grandma's 80th birthday, so hopefully i can stick to my guns and keep the effort up!
for breakfast, after my jog, i had 1 banana and 1/2 a toasted bagel with low fat spread :)

A run so early in the morning ?that must of really boosted your energy!!!Keep up the good work!

it really did! i could believe how awake and ready for the day i felt! :)

for lunch today i have some steamed veggies with 2 small chicken thighs (skinless) :) just about to have some homemade leek and potato soup and a roll for dinner. loving healthy food right now :D

Hey Nemo, Sounds like you had a great start to the morning - good on you!
I've tried jogging but OMG I am sooo unfit it's unreal, my calfs kill me when I run. I went on Monday and then haven't been back out - slap my hands - I know but I have been doing lots of walking though so I have been moving about.

Well last year I lost 2 stone and then put it all back on again so my holiday clothes from last year don't fit anymore. I'm also a little strapped for cash too cos I'm saving all I have for my actual holiday so buying a whole new summer wardrobe is not an option, plus about 6 yrs ago when I was at my heaviest and I went to Cancun for a holiday I had one of those embarrasing situations where the seatbelt on the flight didn't fit and I had to get a belt that they give to pregnant people - it was so embarrasing and now that i'm putting weight on I'm scared it will happen again.

So - lets do this!!!!!! We both can I just know it!!!!
How good will it feel when we both weigh a stone lighter??

So what else did you eat today? I finished up on 1354 calories but I did burn off 391 calories so all good!!!

:) yeh it was a good day yesterday.
today i've not been out to do exercise but i've been cleaning the house and doing washing so housework counts right?
i'm so bad at jogging too, and my feet really hurt afterwards but it still felt good to get out. walking is still really good though! :D

ah good on you for losing the 2 stone - it is hard to maintain weight when you've lost so much, so that'll have to be a goal for after weightloss too :) and i hope your holiday clothes fit and that your holiday is amazing! :D
i'm going to Bruges in july with some friends and i'm realllllly hoping i'm slimmer for then as well, because it's a tour holiday, so lots of walking, and i get tired out quite quickly, so we shall see.

:D YAY! motivation! we can both do this, it's going to be great!

today i wasn't great with the food - i didn't have breakfast which meant i was really hungry at lunchtime, so i had a cheese omlette (oh dear!), but i'm taking a couple of pieces of fruit and some cous-cous salad with me to work tonight (i've got a night shift tonight and tomorrow night, so i might not post for the next couple of days but i'll update asap).

you're doing so well! keep it up!!! :D

Hi Nemo, Ive been reading your diary and it seems we are about the same weight so have similar goals. I love to swim too. I aim for about 1 mile per session but if time is short I only manage about 1km instead.
I have childcare issues (3x3yr olds and a new baby) and chocolate issues ( I just can't seem to stop!!!) but I'm working on both of those to get healthy.
Good luck on your weight loss journey!

Gotta say I love your enthusiasm. If you keep this attitude your weight loss will be a breeze! Keep at it!
And don't worry at the omelet. You have a plan! Stick to the plan!:hurray:
