Good eats... at least, they once were.

YAY!! I weighed in at 217.0 pounds this morning!!
only .8 pounds until I get back to my lowest diet weight!
:D
I'm trying to get my mom to do this with me, because she said she'd like to lose some weight she gained back after her surgery. (she had gastric bypass surgery a few years ago, and she lost a whole bunch of weight, but just like her doctor told her to expect, she gained back like, 20 pounds. It's completely normal, but now her doctor (a new one) told her she should lose what she gained back. I think, personally, that her new doctor is full of $h!t, but she wants to so I want to help and support her.)

So yeh. She WAS writing down what she ate for a little while, but I'm not sure she cares enough to really just DO this. :p

Oh well.

How are you guys doing?

Well done on your lower and lower low!

I'm a bit up this week, mostly due to being sick and not exercising the last week. I am working super hard this week to make a dent in my losses by next week! Let's do this! :)

HEY!!
The scale gods have smiled upon me!! 214.8!!
I honestly don't know how it happened, yesterday I didnt exercise except for walking to the car and sitting at a concert sweating my butt off.
I'm not expecting it to stay at that right now, I think the loss was mostly water weight... oh well. still happy!

I ate at TGIFriday's today, and had 2 cheeseburger sliders with some fries and a pork potsticker (that's what my mom got) Oh so yummy.:drool5:
I had my mom's meat loaf for dinner, along with a baked potato and some broccoli with promise margarine.
I know that doesn't sound that great, but I've been really good about not snacking, which I think used to make up most of my daily caloric intake.

So until I hit a plateau, I'll keep eating this way. Hey, it works for me!

anyway, I'll bet you get a great loss next week! And even if you don't, stay on track and the scale will budge eventually :)

I guess I'm not too much of a role model or whatever, I haven't had much trouble with my loss so far.:nopity:

:)

well, it's official folks. TGI Friday's sucks. :cuss:
Don't get me wrong, their food is great, but they don't publish all of their nutrition information. I had some sliders and fries and a small dessert there for lunch today, and I have no IDEA how many calories I consumed. If anyone can help me find out the info on 2 cheeseburger sliders, a very small side of fries, and a peanut butter cup mini dessert, I would very much appreciate it.

Gah. I DEFINITELY went over even the high end of my calorie goal.
ABOUT 1969 calories for today, and I didn't even have breakfast. :ack2:

crazy. Damn.

:ack2:anyway, enough ranting, I have to get ready for bed.
:willy_nilly:
bye people!
Especially you Ankebuzz (what's your real name?) I wish you the best for your weight loss. :D

<3

Hehe, my name is Anke.

I did okay with the eating yesterday, and today shall be another good one! I want to get some exercise besides my dance class today, then I will be content!

Your name again...? (Sorry, too lazy to go looking in the thread :p)

Hey there. It's great to see you back. I am more than happy to see you still losing weight. one hundreds are just around the corner.

In terms of the meal. You have to expect cheeseburgers and fries and dessert to be a lot of calories. I know that a big mac from mcd's is like 500 cals, and a restaurant makes their burgers very similar. I think next time you go out, you should try to order a salad or veggies instead of the fries, or get a chicken breast or a club sandwich on wheat. They are much much healthier than the burgers. But I suggest making one of the two sacrifices: sacrifice the fries, or the burger for something healthier. Another option is to request a takeout tray when your meal arrives and immediately put half of everything in the tray and stick it under the table or beside you. That way you won't be tempted to keep eating the meal when you are full. I don't ever expect anyone to completely eliminate what they love and crave, but by making small sacrifices, you are making huge health changes.

Oh I was wondering if you have noticed any changes in your figure yet?

I hope you find these tips useful.

haha, yeah I know... The meal was DEFINITELY a splurge. I only went over by about 100 calories yesterday, so I'm not really upset, but I just like to log my calories.
:p
I went to the movies tonight! The HULK was at the cheap seats, $2.50/ticket!
I managed a whopping ZERO calories! I skipped the popcorn and candy and went for a large diet coke instead. :)
And I had a delicious peach for dessert. :D Scrumdiddlyumptious!!

I did the treadmill today for 45 minutes. :D Yay!!

Anyway, that's all!
215.2 today!!

oh yeah, I have kind of noticed a little bit of a change. my tummy seems a little smaller and flatter. Everyone else says they can see a difference, but I don't really see much. I guess I see myself every day so I get used to my body and can't see the changes. What I really wish I had done was, at the very beginning, to take measurements. I'm down a couple pant sizes and I need a new hole in my belt, though, but it really doesn't seem to me to be that much of a difference, even though I know it is.

and OF COURSE your name is Anke. haha... That's a pretty name.
My name's Anna, but you can call me Annie. Anna seems too formal. :)

-----------------------------------------------------------
I started this post last night but got sidetracked with my mom leaving for her trip to New York, so I'm posting this today.

!!!213.6!!!

up a pound, but I'm pretty sure its just water weight, because I was really good yesterday.

I went to DC with my dad today. It's only like an hour and a half away, but we drove and parked at the metro. Like, an hour and 15 minutes to the metro station, but then we had to wait FOREVER to get on because of track maintenance and all that crap. It took, seriously folks, an hour. Seriously. And then when we came down to go back to our car, we got on a train and then we were told we had to switch trains when we got to the stop RIGHT BEFORE our stop. It took us a good hour to get on the train to go ONE FREAKING STOP. Gah.

DC was pretty awesome though. We saw the Jim Henson exhibit. I SAW KERMIT!!! I also saw Bert and Ernie, and the characters from my favorite childhood movie, The Dark Crystal. We looked in the museum of natural history, but it was really REALLY crowded, so we went to the Hirshorn (I love modern art!)

I have to go to bed now. :( I'll talk to you guys later.

 I'm back to 214.9! :( I was doing really well and I was exercising and eating okay, but I'm back up two whole pounds. I feel like I've been doing as well as I can, but I just don't understand. :( I did have a little slip-up at dinner last night (fried shrimp-- one of my weaknesses) but I actually didn't go over my goal. So I don't understand. I thought calories were calories, whatever you ate. I mean, I get the whole "eat healthy" thing, but one or two days shouldn't screw me up this badly, should it?

:(
:piggy:

You have not screwed up your weight AT ALL!!!! Have you ever noticed how HUUUUGE deviations in your weight can be from one day to the next?? Now why on earth would you go put your faith in that silly number??

You KNOW you've done well, you FEEL great, so IGNORE that number unless it goes up 10 pounds in a day! Come on, do not sabotage yourself by letting your mind play tricks on you... it was not all for nothing... remember seeing 213!!

So all you gotta do now is chill, and carry on healthily... nothing more you can do, and ABSOLUTELY no point in beating urself up about it!

:)

Haha. I figured out why my weight isn't moving... I'm on my period. This happens kind of rarely due to medicine, but at least now I know why I'm all crampy and bloated. haha...

Anyway, I found these "No sugar added" fudge pops that are only 40 calories a bar! Thats 100 calories less than my dad's skinny cow ice cream sandwiches. :D:drool5: they're amazing.

Now that that's all been dealt with, I'm hoping I won't plateau for another 20 pounds or so because I want to hit the one hundreds! It's okay if I do though, I guess, I'll just have to work harder.

What should my daily calorie intake be again?
I just want to make sure what I'm doing is okay.
:D

Hehehe, never forget about the period! Mine's also here now!

Depending how tall you are and how active you are...

If you are 5"7 (your height as I calculated according to your BMI on your ticker, and lightly active (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week), and weigh 214, and are 17 years old, you need:

2338 Calories to maintain...

To lose weight at 1 pound a week, theoretically you should cut your maintenance calories by 500. To lose 2 pounds a week, cut by 1000, but no lower than that.

therefore, to lose 1-2 pounds a week:

1300, anywhere up to 1800 calories will ensure you lose 1-2 pounds a week.

Here is the site I used:

Spifftastic! haha, I'm actually starting to enjoy this whole experience. I'm a little bit concerned that I'm becoming that person who reads and remarks (out loud) on the calories in cereal and hot dogs and chips. haha.

I've done pretty well, even with the fact that I just had a steak and cheese sub. Oh well. I already ate it. :) At least no chips or soda this time.

haha... I don't know why I'm so happy... I'm not hearing voices this time, at least. :)

Nothin much more to say. nope. Can't think of anything. Okay... bye. :):waving:

hehe, so long as the hallucinations ain't happening!

I sometimes worry about becoming "dieting health nut freak" girl... but then I remind myself that there are just some things that MUST break the health barrier (like birthday cake and pms chocolate :) )

hahaha... yeah, no hallucinations, just a little mania. (meaning I usually talk a little too fast and a little too loud and am happy for no reason at all)
So, that's not too bad.

:)

I did really well yesterday. I even had enough calories to play with to have some seafood salad and some chips with my sub! :)

Here's to hoping I do as well today!

<3
