Good-Bye Past - Hello Tomorrow!

Hey girl :). Glad you've found something to help you sleep. Is it still working?

Did you end up getting the dumb ass sales pitch at Bally's? Hopefully they caught the hint quick!

Hi y'all..

I'm eating good but exercise has been slim..

I have been so busy with little projects, and then today turned into a total lazy day.

The cloudy/gloomy/cold front just got me in that mood.

>>>>

Bally's is not going to work out for me after all.

They don't have a pool first off.

I just didn't feel comfy either.

I cannot stand being followed around by a high school kid tellin' me about nutrition/exercise.
They also do not like the fact I have RA and a messed up spine.

Too much hassle for me - I didn't feel welcome by the people that work there or the customers.

Oh well...

I really wish I could find my "Zone."

I do good in one area - slack in another - then switch. lol

I didn't get fat overnight and I'm not gonna be skinny when I wake up, so I have time to find my Zone and Will-Power.

I can only go up right?

So sorry to hear that you had a less than stellar experiance at Bally's.
I have never felt comfortable at those types of places. To many Jane Fonda types for me.
If you know what I mean.
I think that is why I have always enjoyed the YMCA. Most everyone there is normal. In that they are just like me. Not all high and mighty attitudes. Just regular people.
I am sure that you will find your zone soon.
This weather is really getting to me too. I soo want to go for a walk but unlike Margaret I just can't seem to get myself out there in this cold yucky weather.
So I just keep an iron fist on my eating and try my best to get in some exercise here and there.
Of course now that I do the swim thing (though most of it is spent in the shallow end of the pool) I am getting a bit more than I would normally by default.
Just do your best sweetie!
Every little bit counts!
I love this quote from the movie Dinotopia~
Even one drop of water will raise the levels of the ocean
Just remember every effort is a drop in the ocean and they all count!

So true Bell, So true!! We all struggle and have to try and work hard to lose weight, if we didn't then would this website really exists??

Sweetheart, I wake up every day wondering why I'm not thinner, what I didn't do right the week before, and how I can change my workouts or my eating to make it better this week. I'm wondering about the wrong things, I need to start fixing my inner self, my attitude, my well being FIRST off. Eating badly is usually a product of our mind and surroundings, when we are stressed or frustrated or unhappy we tend to reach for food or other substances that are unhealthy for us. When we are to busy, and swamped with life and small things, we tend to try and talk ourselves out of exercise. So what I'm trying to say is, work on your inner self, work on making yourself happy and make things more better for your inner body, and the rest will follow.

It does take time, I was just posting something earlier in my diary about time and patience. We all want the rush NOW, we all want to be fixed today, but with life and growing, it's time and it's SLOW and it's WORK. But, your doing such a great job taking care of your family and working really hard to make sure your son is growing up good, and your H is taking care of, that I think sometimes "you" are being neglected. What I'm trying to say is "Try and Leave some good time for you each day"

I'm so sorry the Bally's thing didn't work out, but not every work out facility is made for every type of person. I loved the YMCA too when I went I always felt welcomed, and I love my gym too, it's all good. But, I too ran into facilities I thought were nothing but a bunch of super tiny people, or meat heads, then I wondered why they were there. You have to do what feels right and good for "you" something will work for you, just don't give up on looking. Plus, you do so good on your walking, I know that works well for you. I'm going to try my best to come up with some solutions for you that might fit your budget and time, I have to do a little research, but I'll do my best, I want to help, I want to come up with something that will keep you happy and positive and that fits your lifestyle. You so deserve the best, and I know your going to do this, I know you ARE going to lose this weight, If I have to come to TX and take you out somewhere myself. :sifone:

I love ya sweety!! Stay positive, stay strong. AND take care of YOU!! I'll check in later, and maybe I'll have some ideas.
hugs
Kim

Hi Stacy

I too am sorry that the gym just hasnt worked out the way we all hoped.

I havent got a gym either. It isnt the end of the world. We are made of tougher stuff than that - you and I!

Wear that pedometer all day long like I do. You might as well give yourself credit for all the steps that you take whether they are around the supermarket or cleaning the house. We all take steps in our day-to-day living.

It just might encourage you to stay out with Zu-zu a little bit longer on one of your potty walks.

Also - I seem to remember you being all excited about a work-out DVD that you bought being tons of fun to do. I remember you posted a challenge idea based on it. I remember reading it and thinking "that sounds fun". I even checked up on it and found out that the damned things dont play over here - all our DVDs and television are all based on a different technology and they just dont play in our DVD recorders. I was quite disappointed.

I hope that you havent forgotten about it because I am sure that you would enjoy doing that work-out. I love my aerobics classes and you could have one in your own living room.

Tabitha and Sarah have just been telling me about some DVDs that are good and available for use over here and I am going to get those. It seems like a great idea - and doesnt need to hurt the budget.

Tammy was just saying that she has been doing some exercises with a ball that she was sure did the trick and helped her get onto the next weight rung down almost immediately.

Some gyms are full of posers anyway - you want to do some real exercise and I am sure that you dont need a gym to do that. People were doing lots of real exercise long before the first gym ever opened.

The big thing is - do not be tempted to think that it is all too hard and give up. I kept giving up on weight loss projects when I was in my thirties and I bitterly regret that I did that. You do not have the weight problem that I had (or even that I have now) but you have joined this forum because you are not happy with your current shape. You deserve to have the body that you want. These things do take hard work and perseverance. I am sure that we all have days when we could cheerfully give up. Please stay strong. We can do this if we all stick together.

Take care
Love
Margaret

**Please Note**

Hi Guys, :)

I regret to inform you all that I will have to leave here. :(

My forum is doing Super Great and I'm gettin' new members all the time.
It's very active. {Since I'm the Owner/Admin, of course I have to do my job.}

It is causing problems for me though RE: here.

I just cannot keep up with two journals for me, and then Friends J's there and here..lol

Plus, it's way too much computer time. {way too much!}

Of course I have to choose this place to cut out.
It really breaks my heart!

I love ya each so dearly and I hope to see ya at my place where you can check in with me and I can keep up w/your success!

I want to Keep In Touch 110%!

If ya join, you can keep up with me in my J there. ;)
Also, (so you don't end up like me RE: too much computer time - I have created a "Public Journal" space in the J Category for those that may want to report their progress/up-downs, but does not have the time to keep up with a "personal J.")

Here is my link:
