getting back to me...

got my running in! well, run/walking. I'm starting over on that 9 week couch-5k thing. So far, 2/3 of week one are done. I really need to exercise a lot more than 3x a week - because if I don't build the habit, i just don't do it. So on days when i don't run, I'm committing to walk around the lake. It's the same path I run on, and the total around is a little over 30 minutes. Tomorrow, I'm playing disc golf, which is a lot of walking in and of itself, but then sunday, i'll try to walk the lake.

OH!!!! I'm really needing new clothes for work - because I have a lot of dressy clothes, and a lot of casual college girl clothes - but nothing in between. Working at the church, I really don't need to dress up (most people especially during the summer and during the weak are in shorts and t-shirts) - but I do need casual clothes that look nice and are a little more... professional. I have a bunch of shorts that are a bit too short and tops that are a bit too low cut. At least I worry that they are.

So, I really wanted to go shopping today to get some new stuff... but my hubby gets frustrated when I buy clothes and then never stay the same size. And I do it often. I have purchased WAY more clothes than him in the last two years, but my closet is emptier because when i grow out of it, I tend to give stuff away. So I have no more safety net of clothes right now (and put on 5 lbs this month).

Anywho... my hubby promised me today that when I hit my target weight (135) and stay there for a month, I can have a WHOLE NEW WARDROBE! I'm actually pretty freaking excited about it - and it's written here for posterity's sake (i'm holding him to it.) That of course doesn't help me with the clothes problem now (i've got a couple of skirts and a pair of capri's I keep rotating through tho)... but it's a great goal to look forward to!!!

That is an awesome thing to look forward to! I find that setting rewards really helps me stay focused. :) Can't wait to see pictures of you in your smokin' new wardrobe!

holy crap - that muscle relaxant had me sleeping until 11:30 this morning!!! guess I won't be taking one tonight - I have to get up early for church in the morning. =(

Today I did kind of meh with my food...
instant oatmeal and a banana for breakfast
then a late lunch (fast food again) - whopper, jr. + small fries + small vanilla shake
and I had some of my hubby's dr. pepper =P
all for a total of like 1450 calories

BUT we played disc golf for over 3 hours... and according to fitday, golf is like 200 calories burned per hour! I'm choosing the golf, because even though we aren't swinging but throwing, it's just as much walking. Fitday guestimates about 650 calories burned - not too bad!!!
