General hysterical diet related rambling: From Flab to Fab.

I blame the moon for my eye sacks as well.

There is NO BLOODY DIFFERENCE!!!!!! NONE!!!! In fact, I'm sure they look worse lol.
I feel like I've been conned! The lady who did it was lovely, which is the only nice thing I have to say about the whole thing. However, there are many lovely people in the world, who I don't pay £400 a time to, to experience their lovliness. She injected most of the filler into my cheeks. which is nice, as my cheekbones are non existent. But my eye bags look exactly the same. I need to wait 2 weeks for it to settle, and go back for a free top-up. But I was expecting to leave the clinic with at least a teeny tiny bit of difference. I wish she had concentrate solely on my eyes, as although my cheeks do need padding out, a tiny bit of filler would make no visible difference to them. I must admit that I do like the swollen feeling, I feel prettier because of it, like I have got cheekbones, but the mirror doesn't reflect what I feel.

Here's the before and after pics- embarrassing. I took both the photos in the worst light. Usually only about one in every 20 photos gets my seal of approval, because of them dreaded eyebags. I actually feel like crying, I was so excited about it.

Ratatoulie in a can is disgusting! Lots of hard chewy bits of vegetable skin, with an aftertaste.

Mmmm, cheeeeese! A massive amount of French recipes use cream and cheese, I have gone as healthy as I can and I've chosen the recipes that are better than you. So I won't be able to try all the dishes I wanted too. I'll do that when I'm at my goal and have extra calories for dinner.

My monkini came today! I would never wear it in real life as it has less than zero boob support (yep, that is possible!), and when I jump they fall out. But its alright for comparison pictures. Gonna get the bf to take some now, eeeek. Mind you, I won't be putting them up on here till I'm a bit skinnier!

Don't forget, whenever you have a needle in your skin it gets irritated, which means it doesn't act as normal, there might even be a visible difference by the mroning, nevermind after it has settle in two weeks.
Don't get down about it, think of it like your weightloss, it's not instantaneous.
IMO your eyebags aren't even that bad!!
Take a pic in a few days and compare again, and keep doing it and doing it, even after your top up, then you'll realise just how different it looks.

Awee Rainbow... :( Do fret to much...maybe after the swelling is all down ..it will all be what you hoped...:hug2::hug2: Did you voice your concerns with the "expensively nice lady"...that is a lot of money to not get what you paid for!!

Excited for the monokini experiment ...I have massive "girls" so I guess that idea is out of the picture if I ever get past goal weight!! They are pretty perky for thier size but with no support at all they would be floating by my belly button in a swim suit like that...:willy_nilly: :rotflmao:

omg! MINI-DONUTS ( i know I'm late to the party )!

YUM YUM!! I love em...sooo good! omg......I was at a brunch last week where we had unlimited mini donuts and they were SO good. They were not greasy at all.

I can't tell which one is the before and after - forgive me - i am a guy. I like the left picture just because of the colors and you are smiling :)

hurry the sod up and work out...

Tete The monkini was very cheap, When I was slimmer I had one that had brilliant support, so don't give up on the idea :)

The thing is, the results are supposed to be instant. Sigggghhhhh. I can feel the filler under my skin, the trouble is its mainly about half a cm below my eyebags, which probably just raises the skin there and makes them look comparatively deeper. I have to go back in a couple of weeks to be checked, and I think I'll tell her that I'm not happy. I'll show her the above pics, and point out that there is no difference at all. I feel bad saying I don't like the "result", but I think I have to.

Come hell or high water Ken, tomorrow, I WILL work out!

Another not-very-good day once more, tomorrow is a fresh start. And I will make this happen FAST!

As the past week has been a bit of a write off, I was just trying to justify myself some chocolate... just one last treat before I knuckle down for the next 10 days. I ate some pasta instead, but I'm still craving chocolate.

I am annoyed with the massive appetite I've recently got. Its not good, at all. I was even tempted not to count calories today, but luckily I gave myself a talking to.

Food
Nutrigrain elevenses raisin bake, nectatine and small banana 287
ready-brek with whole milk 240
Bowl of edamame with soy sauce 224
Bowl of shreddies with whole milk 256
medium portion of creamy pasta 284
6 coffees 150
=1441

Exercise
None, yet again.

Morning sweetie.
I'm so sorry it didn't work :( but you are totally gorgeous anyway. You should definatly tell her that you are unhappy with it, £400 is a hell of a lot of money to pay out for something you are not happy with.
On the photo's, i agree with Ken the left one is better cos you are smiling, you look like you have a cheeky smile :).

I really hope this doesn't get you down too much sweetie, you really are stunning!!!!!

You're beautiful and didn't need your "sacks" done anyway! So there :p Saying that, 400 quid is a butt-ton of money for something you're not happy with. Give her hell, pretty lady.

Yes, the first one was happy because I was just about to get it done, well, the after you couldn't have got a smile out of me for love nor money as I had just been knocked :)

I actually can't bear to look in the mirror some days because of that and my other assorted flaws. I mean, I know it could be worse, because I watched a series (katie: my beautiful friends) about burns victims and people with severe facial disfigurement, but I really hate my eye bags. Really, really hate them. And after my appointment I saw them reflected back to me in all their glory in various shop windows. I would have felt a million times better about myself if those bloody things had been removed.

I know there are more important things in life than looks. I know that there are more important qualities a person can have other than being eye bag-less. But still.

I've been on a forum to do with that sort of thing, and everybody said that she should have injected deep into the tissue behind the eye bags. Not the place she did it. I have got the major hump. Yes, today, I am a camel.

Well, today I went to a rather splendiforous all you can eat restaurant (chinese, Japanese and indian-the selection of food is HUGE, and its all lovely) with the lovely Tash (who is very bump-tastic, 7 weeks to go!). I ate quite a lot, but I justified it as it was breakfast lunch and dinner :) My shopping is here now and my fridge and cupboards look rather magnificent inside. So a fresh start tomorrow, definitely!!!!!

Food
Strawberry split lolly.

Breakfast:
plate 1- half a plate of seaweed, the other half piled high with duck, cucumber and spring onions. And plum sauce.
Plate 2- Salmon, 6 bits of sushi and a mushroom thingy

Lunch:
plate 3- mainly green beans with some korean pork
plate 4- fruit salad

Dinner
Bowl 5- small banoffee desert x2
Bowl 6- sweeties, including sugared cashews, and chocolate raisins (I stole them for the train ride home lol)

Calories.... Could be anything. Hopefully its not too awful. Hardly any carbs.

Your breakfast lunch and dinner buffet sounds amazing :p
There is something similar near me, except they do thai, indian, chinese, japanese, italian and mexican, plus they have a sweet buffet too, as in sweeties!!
It's expensive though so I've never been.

Can you put in a complaint if she's done it wrong?

That sounds good, I really don't know what food I'd pick out of all those choices! If I were you I'd treat myself and go there (when your feeling strong!). There are a lot of desserts at cosmos, a chocolate fountain and all sorts, but they mainly taste very cheap.

I will give her the chance to sort it out herself before I complain officially I think.

Today I have done a bit better. I went on the trampoline for 5 minutes in the morning (first time in about a week- was effort), and cooked from scratch (ditto).

I took a photo of my first French dinner, but forgot to put the memory card in my camera, D'oh. It was very aesthetically pleasing tho, so its a shame :) Very tasty as well, I was nervous about trying trout and thought I would get it over and done with today.

Food
Porridge with mashed banana 317
Small bit of ham and cucumber baguette 300
Loads of grapes and a satsuma 136
with new potatoes 557
Mango 135
5 coffees 125
=1571

Exercise
2 hours walking
5 minutes trampoline

I'm interested in this buffet thing. Did you just eat your breakfast lunch and dinner all at once? Did you get hungry later at night?

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles, hopefully she'll get everything fixed up in your next session. If not, I would complain.

Don't get down on yourself!

Random: I'm going to badminton: I have always liked the idea of it: I shall do it: Next Sunday.

That sounds so fun...its so not something available in the states...tennis..yes..but those country club ladies..are evil...and I might take my racket to their little white skirts!!!

Do you have a big trampoline..like the ones for kids..or one of those exerciser ones? It sounds way to bouncy..lol..how is it on the knees?

:drool5: You and your fabulous sounding food...and I have yet to try one single new food!! :leaving:

Fleur No :) The breakfast/lunch/dinner thing was just me justifying the huge volume of food I ate at one meal. I had only eaten an ice lolly that day, and by the time we sat down to eat it was about three (i was STARVING), finished eating about 4, and wasn't hungry at dinnertime still. I actually told my mate after two plates of food "that was my breakfast", then after 4 "that was my lunch" etc.... :)

Ah Tete, if its anything like them stuck up surburban places that I have seen on telly, then I don't blame you! The one I'm going to go too is council run. So should hopefully be no snob-ism! I hope not anyway, as I'm really nervous about going on my lone-some. I prefer badminton to tennis as its a lot slower. And easier :D

I just use a mini-rebounder for exercise, I would love to get a decent big one for the kids. The reason why I haven't is a bit silly, because the neighbours gave us their one, and it is quite small with elasticated rope suspension rather that metal bits, and I don't want to seem ungrateful by getting a new one. Think I will next year tho, the big ones are so much fun.

Quote, me..."The big ones are so much fun?" My mind is getting dirtier and dirtier.

TRY SOMETHING NEW!!! That's an order missy.

The new thing I tried today just didn't work in my opinion (although everyone else loved it). The ratatouille was scrummy, but an egg in it... hmm... no. The egg went nicely with the home made chips tho. It was like having two different dinners on one plate.

I couldn't be bothered to count my calories, but have now changed my mind, so I am going to estimate the calories I have eaten, then find the actual number, and see what the difference is :) Because I have got nothing better to do
Estimated..... 1344
Actual.......... 1361- wow, I'm shit hot! Might do this every day for a week to see if I can trust myself not to count calories any more.

Food
Chocolate curls (not enough milk for porridge) and whole milk 283
2 plums and a satsuma 85
packet and a bit of Mc coys crisps 213
with a handful of wedges. 551
2 kiwis and an apple 128
4 coffees 100
=1361

Exercise
7 minutes trampoline
1 hours housework (and now its back to how it was again. Sulk)

Do you just jump up and down on your mini-tramp or do you have a certain routine? Also do you really get your heart rate up? I can't stay on mine for very long before I get bored.

I am sorry you are not happy with the results.I hope you speak to the lady and find a solution cause thats a lot of money.Dont get dissapointed im sure you can work something out with her.

Waiting for food pics of your french week rainbow!GOt the battery i see and forgot the memory card????:biggrinjester:

Hope we have a good week!!!

Hmm rainbow, i worry that you might have done your dough too. Put it down to experience and learn to like yourself imperfections and all. I mean i worked in a cosmetic clinic for a few months and those fillers do not last forever, they may last 2 months if you are lucky. I expect she told you that it wasn't permanent. They used to at least, not last terribly long at all and i wonder if they have improved. In those days they told me people they could last 5 months. They just suck up your money and some people end up getting stuck with a false face they are afraid to stop paying for because people will find out. So its a bad route to go down. If you have to do anything to your face, go for more permanent treatments like face lifts and skin peels or laser resurfacing (though i don't like the look of the last one either). At least the results with those last a long time. Botox of course is also long lasting over the longer term but i think some other problem with it is showing up. Anyhow, you have a pretty face and i've noticed that in bathroom mirrors the light is bad and unflattering and it shows up our eye bags the most. Keep out of the sun so they don't get any worse but there's nothing terribly unusual about yours. Don't ever bother with liposuction either.

I see you are well on your way to your goal weight. You will get there. I never counted calories and its simply not necessary so long as you know what is high calorie food and what is low cal, what is nutritious and non-nutritous food, how to balance your diet, what is a good sort of portion size for the different types of food, how to cook. I found using the meal plans some years ago on the CSIRO well being diet, have helped me in the long term by knowing about these things better than i understood them before. I do actually eat more than their plans suggested even when on a diet but that's becuase i found their meals a bit too light for me in calories, but if you lose weight, what's to worry. Anyway there's many ways to skin a cat as they say. Though i'd never skin a cat anyway.
