From My Couch To A 5K... And Beyond!

Don't be too upset about reaching the 150's yet, the slower the weight comes off usually corresponds to how long you keep the weight off :)

-Sam

I hadn't thought of that! Way to turn it into a positive! :)

I have found that my already wacky period (its never regular) has gotten even wackier with this exercise/diet thing. Your body probably doesn't know what the heck to do with all this weight you've been dropping. It'll probably settle down when you reach you're goal and get into maintenance. Yup and the stress of worrying probably hasn't helped. Glad to see you're back kicking those pounds to the curb. I always feel like I'm floundering when my routine is thrown off.

I'm so glad you can relate! It has toyed with me too, and like you said, worrying sure didn't help!

Thanks for stopping by!

:)

A fresh start!

I finally had a loss this week!

Not a big one (-0.7 pounds), but I'll take it!

My weight matches my ticker now, and I am almost back to my low of 161.2!

Even better, I'm almost to the 150's!

:D

Whoa, a pregnancy scare! That is a good reason for worry. Babies are best when we are ready for them. And some day, you will be!

YAy congrats on the loss!!!
I know you cant wait to reach the 50s!! you will be there soon:)
Hope you have a great weekend!

Today has been a great day! :)

I was writing down my 161.8 in my calendar, and James asked me where I wanted to stop. I said I wasn't sure yet. I told him that I wanted to reach 150, and when I did, I was going to decide then if I wanted to maintain it or lose a little more.

He said, "Ok, I have a deal for you. To help you reach your goal, as soon as you reach 150, I will buy you $100 worth of new clothes."

YES!

I am already motivated, but the thought of free, new, smaller clothes definitely helps!! :D

I love that he loved me even when I was 210 pounds. It has always been a total non issue for him. He just wants to help me succeed, and he knows how hard I have been working.

I am so lucky! :)

Well there you are Tyly! I didn't know you had a new diary and I haven't had time to come online much to notice. So wow, I just read your first page and can't believe you went down all those sizes. You go girlie!

So what's your deficit count on the spreadsheet?! I added 200 calories into my deficit yesterday as I overate by 200 and had no exercise. Makes me need to work extra hard today to make up for this. Eeeeek. Keep me posted.

*WooT!*

Good 4 You Doll!

So nice ta chat w/ya again. :hug2:

Almost into the '50's!!! I bet you can already taste them. That's fantastic that you're getting so much support from James. How fun will that be when you reach 150?!!

Holy crap, ladies and gentlemen...

Today my good friend Sara brought over a few of her size 8's for me to try on. I wanted to try them on just to see how close I was to an 8...

THEY FIT!!!!

And not in the "way too tight, lay on the bed to zipper up, serious muffin top" kind of fit. They fit comfortably and look good!

Oh my goodness!!!!!

We went on a shopping trip, and I am happy to say that I was able to buy every one of my bottoms in a SIZE 8!

I still can't believe this. I haven't been in a single digit size since high school, and even then, it was a size 7!

I'm still in awe.

Thanks!

I really can't put into words how it makes me feel. I tried to explain it to James, but words just can't seem to sum it up correctly.

I wasn't expecting them to fit. I just wanted an idea of how much more I needed to fit into a size 8. I was blown away when I was able to wear them comfortably, then even more excited about the fact that all of my new pants/capris are size 8.

I had only just accepted that every now and then I was able to wear a 10. I would always tell myself that it was ok if I wasn't able to fit into a certain brand/style in a size 10. I prepared myself for the fact that the 10's wouldn't fit when trying them on (even though they did!). Size 12 had become my comfort size. It was 14 for a long time, but I had finally come to happily accept 12. I still have the mentality of the fat kid when shopping. Don't get me wrong... I feel great about myself, but when shopping, I still can't accept that things will fit me now. I still don't want to try on some things, because "girls my size can't wear that material" or "girls my size can't wear that kind of shirt", etc. I am still hesitant to try on some stuff, because I still feel like it won't fit me correctly... but now it does! And it's amazing!

I think back to these perfect pair of Old Navy pin striped pants that I was SO proud of. I felt so sexy every time I wore them, because they fit so perfectly, and I felt TINY in them. Now I will find myself thinking, "I can't wait until I am that small again! As small as I was in college when I was able to wear those perfect pin striped pants!" Well guess what... those perfect pants were a size 10! I am smaller than that now, but I still find myself wanting to be 'as small as I was back then'... I am smaller, darn it!

It's like my mind needs to catch up to my body! My body has conquered those pants... my brain needs to catch up! I still have a tiny bit of "I'm a fat kid" mentality that I need to squash! I CAN try on anything I want to! I CAN wear a single digit bottom! Clothes DO look good on me now!

:party::party::party::party:!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is so awesome Tyly! I knew you were going to get down to an 8 real soon, your runnin' your ass off :)

I know what you mean about a comfort size too. For many years that was a 36 for me, and now i'm a very comfortable/sometimes loose 34, and that is exciting but, I think a 32 for me will be what a size 8 was for you, if ya know what i mean.

Clothes are such a great motivator. I think your bf sounds so nice to offer to do that for you. I've been putting money in a special account for a couple of months now so I will have nice stash o' cash to get some awesome clothes when I finally hit my next goal of a 32...

Have a great weekend, Congrats!

-Sam

Hey girl!

WOW thats great size 8 I think I would fall out :svengo:
If I even seen that size...lol.. I can only imagine how you feel :)

I know how you feel about still thinking your "the fat girl" even though your not. When I lost all my weight before I was happy being in a size 10, I was so happy and felt sexy, but at the same time its like when I see myself or shop you still think your fat, even though everyone is telling you that your not. Its so hard to "forget" the "fat girl"...I don't know, know matter what we do were not always happy with our image, it seems... we want to be "perfect".

Well I hope you have a great weekend :)

Awesome, awesome, awesome.

(You inspire me. I ran today! Only for about 4 minutes...but it was running.)

So so so so so so so Amazing a feeling to fit into a new size!! Way to go on those size 8's Tyly. I can't wait to see that size in shorts and pants.

Maybe this running will do the same for me as it's done for you! YAY

Wow Tyly!!! It's an amazing difference in your body as well as your face. Losing the weight in your face has definitely opened up your beautiful eyes a bunch! How much total have you lost? I can't remember your exact start weight but I could probably read back and find out, just curious.... Great job skinny lady! ;)
