From My Couch To A 5K... And Beyond!

161.2???!!!!!

See, you're going to be joining me in the 150's very very soon!!! Great work, sweetie. I am so excited for you. Not to mention the fact that you are almost finished couch to 5K. Look at you go...there's no stopping you!

I love when the scale surprises you...it sure puts a big goofy grin on my face for the entire day. Smile 'til your cheeks hurt!

Tyly- Just wanted to point out that if you have't "gone" in three days, that could account for the scale not budging at all. Maybe you're just full of .... ;)

That's why her eyes are brown. :D

Tyly, congrats on the new low!! :hurray:

A few days ago my H was sitting next to me when I was on the forum, and he pointed to your avi and said, "That girl's very pretty!" Looks like another guy's hot for teacher. :D

Hope you had fun at your families' houses during Spring Break. :)

161.2!!!!

That is awesome. I keep up with your journal and read about how hard you work and it's so nice to hear about your victories, on and off the scale!

I gotta go run tonite. Run run run, now will be my motto! Great thinkin ahead on the prepackaged snacks for you to eat. Hope your spring break is going nicely:)

Take Care,
Sam

Congratulations Tyly on the new low!! YAY!

I hope you break into the 150's really soon. BTW, what's your goal, and how tall are you? Did I already ask this? heh. I can't remember.

I'm so sorry I have been MIA lately! I have been back and forth between visiting James' family, then mine, and we are also going to San Antonio to watch my brother play baseball! :) We won't be home until Sunday! I love visiting everyone, but I am already ready to be home! Don't worry, though! No out of control eating, and I have still been getting in my exercise! Love to all of you!

Oh yeah - one way to get a GREAT upper body workout... play the sports games on Nintendo Wii! Holy cow! I played one game of boxing and one game of tennis, and my arms are sore!

Thanks, BB! And tell your hubby thanks as well! :)

I am 5'7, and I would love to try out 150. I am curious to see how that would look and feel on me, and I'll play it by ear from there. I am starting to get the "you're too thin" comments, but I disagree.

Hi Tyly!

It's nice to know that all is still going so well for you and that you are having a different kind of fun with all the visiting. I know what you mean about now being ready to stay home for a while.

Well done on continuing to eat and exercise the way you want to while you're away from home. That's a great pointer to permanent success.

Thanks for stopping in, Felici! :D

Geez, I just wrote down my exercise for the Amazing Race challenge, and I'm bummed! I thought I had done more!

Friday: 30 minutes
Saturday: 40 minutes
Sunday: 40 minutes
Monday: 40 minutes
Tuesday:
Wednesday:
Thursday:

I still have 3 days, but I usually have WAY more exercise than that in a week! I guess being away from home has taken more time from me than I thought! Grr.

Well ok, if that's down then it's down :) - but it's still pretty good in terms of being away from home and yet maintaining good habits - it doesn't need to be identical to normal. :)

Thank you, thank you! Always such sweet things to say! :Angel_anim:

I think I was spoiled by my huge success last week... I need to keep in mind that not every week will be that way! Plus, I am pretty proud that I am keeping up with good habits even while on "vacation". :)

I think my bros are getting a Nintendo Wii for our house, so that is good to know. I think your goal weight sounds like a good number, and your pretty close to it too :) Have fun on your Spring Break :coolgleamA:

Sam

Hiya Tyly, hope you are enjoying your time with family and friends. Enjoy that baseball game and I hope your brother wins.

I agree, I think 5'7" and 150 might not be too shabby for ya, especially with all that running you are doing, you'll have runners legs.. =) Anyway, don't listen to what everyone else is saying about being skinny, you are losing weight the healthy way, and are by no means too skinny for your height. Just stay healthy in your eating and habits and all will be well.

Can't wait to hear about your adventures.

Thanks for keeping my diary alive, guys! :)

Wiis are great! I played even more, and it can definitely be an arm workout! Especially when you do events like the rowing, running, boxing, etc. I was seriously sore! Thanks for popping in, handsome!

Thank you so much for stopping in, Tasha!

I am so happy to be home. :willy_nilly:

It is so much easier to make better choices here. Not that I am unable to control my actions elsewhere, but it's just easier at home, ya know? We are actually going back to James' family's house tomorrow to see the rest of them, and we won't be back until Sunday (which stinks), but being home today is exactly what I needed. It remotivated me all over again.

I did my C25K Week 9, Day 1 today, and it went great!

I ran at a quicker pace than normal, and I was so tired at the end! In my eyes, those are both good things! I am hoping to keep building my stamina so I won't get so tired, but the only way to do that is to push myself, right?! I am getting closer to the 5K/3.1 miles (today I did 2.58 miles), so I am pretty confident that I will have it down my May 3rd.

Hey Dashing Daisy! :D I haven't stopped by in awhile, but I see you're still going strong despite being away from home. That's always tough to do--at least for me it is. I tend to use it as an excuse to eat what I want. ;) But your dedication is very impressive, as I think i've said before. :) Well, I'll keep saying it b/c I'm still impressed. ha!

Hope you're having a great weekend. :hug2:

Thanks! I wouldn't be impressed with me after yesterday... it was a pretty high calorie day! Ugh. Oh well... I guess one every now and then won't kill me, right? It's back on the wagon today!

Happy Easter Tyly!

Thank you, teammate! I hope you had a great one! :)

I had a few high calorie days the past week. That (combined with the fact that TOM is coming) probably won't allow me to reach my goal of 159 by April Fool's. Grrr. I was on track to meet the goal until I splurged a bit during Spring Break. I am back on my wagon today, and I am determined to have a low calorie week to help with damage control. I will FOR SURE be getting all the exercise for the challege, so hopefully that, along with the low calorie days will help me avoid any weight gain.

I'm really irritated with myself about it, but what can I do now, right? I already see my body as softer and squishier now... it's not quite as firm as it was before. Oh well. I can fix this!

Hey Tyly,

I did really good last week, then Easter kind of had to come along and screw everything up, lol. We will get back on track this week and it will all be okay. I'm starting Week 4 of the C25K this week, so that is kind of exciting. I bought some jeans that don't quite fit me yet and I need to keep the running up so my thighs and butt shrink a little more.

Hang in there,
Sam:)

Girl, you are being too hard on yourself. One day of naughtiness won't ruin everything. It might do your body good--a little jolt to the system. I've been eating 2500-3000 calories on Fri, Sat and Sun, and then being very good Mon-Thur, and I am always able to get back to my Friday weight and then a bit less by the next Friday weigh in. So don't fret it. I predict you'll still hit that April Fool's goal.

So go get a Shamrock shake! :Angel_anim:
