From alpha testing to the QUERCUS 200

Hi ya fellow Texan!.. :seeya: (I'm new here...lol)

I'm popping in journals to see what is working for everyone. :)

Speaking of our weather, I'm worried about their predictions for a very wet/cold late fall/winter....

It was so hot/humid this summer, I didn't get much park walking in...That truly helps me with great fitness and weight loss! I LOVE the two parks I walk at. Lots of inclines, hills and just bein' outdoors and enjoying the beauty of the parks.

Have A Great Weekend!

Thanks K&D!
Thanks Cate!

Yesterday was a slow and painful grinder of a 5K, but I'm feeling better today. I will run a really slow one again tonight to give my legs a break.

I tried on more clothes today and I can say with confidence that I am at my smallest ever. My belly measurement is at 42" and I can get to the 40" mark sucking in. The below 40" belly is a health related long term goal for me. I started out at 60" and I held a 60" loop around my belly an it was difficult to imagine that I was really that big. I am grateful for how far I've come and I look forward to getting better still. Thanks for all of the support and advice WLF friends! I couldn't have done it without your help. :grouphug:

Edit: Hi Stacy and welcome to the forum! My garden could use the rain and I've cut a ton of firewood so I am ready for winter. Enjoy the parks while you can!

Well it's the smallest I've been since age 14 at least. Thanks Cate!

So a much better run in the cool of the night tonight for my 17th 5K in a row and day 325 of the runstreak. Going fishing with my father tomorrow morning which should be fun.

Thanks Cate and LaMa! We did okay fishing, but it was a beautiful day on the lake so it would have been nice regardless. LaMa I don't know what the scale will say, but the clothes and the measuring tape agree that I've never been smaller as an adult.

So yesterday I was fishing for 8 hours, cleaning fish for an hour, splitting and hauling wood for 2 hours, and by then it was a cool dark miserable 5K. I didn't eat or drink enough and overdid the activity before my run, but I got it done. So that was 1 5Ks in a row and day 326 of our runstreak.

I only had a few fish so I decided to pan fry them with cornmeal which I used to love. I cooked outside to keep the house from stinking. I either don't like fried foods or fish anymore. Maybe both? I ate a bit of it and the dogs get the rest. No more bringing home fish for me.

My hips and knees hurt pretty bad Sunday. The next day they felt a bit better and I added sprints. The legs seem fine today so I think I'm fine.

Decent 5K for day 20 of the 5K streak and day 328 of the run streak. My 8 foot tall wood pile fell. I hope my cat isn't under it. I though stacking it to the rafter would kind of wedge the pile in where it wouldn't fall, but I was wrong. Looks like I won't have enough space even after the new rack is built.

O crap! Gravity is a bit of a bastard sometimes. Glad your legs are feeling better though and I hope the cat turns up purring soon.

The cat was on the porch waiting for his breakfast this morning.

I've been so hungry lately and food has been a battle.

Boo for the wood pile, huzzah for the cat!

Nice job on the continued run streak. That's a lot of miles crammed into the month already

Thanks K&D!
Thanks Stacy!
I had a good 5K last night, but I did not eat very well in the evening. That's the one soft spot in my game plan is evening food. It's when I'm tired and hungry that I over eat. I was trying to stay busy in the evenings, but this month's running efforts haven't left me with enough energy to do much else and so I eat.

Okay big day for day 330 of the runstreak and day 22 of the 5K streak. I set a 5K PR of 27:25 which is a 56 second PR from the one I set on October 1st when the 5K streak started. E set a new PR too! Our boss from work showed up to run with E and she dropped out after a mile of pacing with E and I'm pretty sure it was tough for her. I think her presence pushed both of our paces as we saw it as an invasion of sorts.

I am so ridiculously impressed with your run streak. That is so awesome.
