From alpha testing to the QUERCUS 200

Baby steps Q, baby steps. No more drinking is a great start, healthy eating is a great continuation, portion control will come next but isn´t the most pressing issue right now. Hope the stress eases soon!

:iagree: with LaMa. Hopefully the stress will ease soon Q & life will settle back down, along with your BP xoC

Stress eating IS stupid. Totally agree with you there. It's usually what gets the best of me. I hope things settle down for you soon. And do keep an eye on that BP! :)

Ugh, I hate it when I waste calories on things that are neither good nor good for you. But I definitely do it. Especially if it's food that I made. Apparently eating something I don't enjoy is better than admitting that something I made isn't worthy of human consumption.

Eating a handful is better than the whole bag/bowl! I've done that a few times too. Uh, this doesn't taste very good. Om nom nom haha. What are we thinkin?!

I made a revised resume for my new employer in hopes of landing a large project. Pretty cool that I'm already helping out with a big project that would be cool to work on.

I felt much better after my trail run.

Day 105
1.68 miles in the woods
It was muddy which made it tough, but it made me feel better.
I went through and marked the trail with bright paint after.

I ate well aside from the M&Ms but they plus the large portions and I am probably over.

Thanks for the concern. I will measure the BP tonight.

Hi everybody!

So I had my last day yesterday and my first day at the new job is Monday.

Today is day 108 of the runstreak. I went for it and ran a 10K for the first time. It was a rainy and hilly road run.

6.2 miles (10K)
1:27:36
Slow, but I had enough left in the tank for a quarter mile kick at the end.

The stress is lessened now that the old job is done.

I love the 10k distance! That's no easy feat. I'm signed up for a hilly 10k at the end of this month....it'll be tough but I'm excited for it.

All the best with your new job Q. I hope that your work-life improves & that your new employer values you. This could be the start of something really good!
Cheers, but with espresso coffee, :beerchug: Cate

Congrats on the 10K, Q. I hope you understand how much of an accomplishment that really is coming from where you've been. Pat yourself on the back, or, if you're too tired, have your wife pat you on the back.

Hope you had a good first day at work. Hope none of the other kids made fun of you or taped notes to your back without you knowing.

Keep us updated on the BP.

Amazing work on the 10k! I wouldn't be concerned or calling it slow. You did it, it was the first time, be proud of that accomplishment! As for the slip up with the pretzel M&Ms.. I can't even begin to remember how many times I ate horrible tasting junk food just because it was junk food. It's a bad habit and a hard one to break completely, but I wouldn't dwell on it. Nothing is wrong with you. You're just human!

Thanks everybody! The new job is great so far. I have a lot to adapt to, but that's okay. Still running. I am pretty happy with the 10K. It did make me do the minimum 1.25 miles for the last two days, but I'm not hurting just tired.

I'll try to catch up later!
