From alpha testing to the QUERCUS 200

Good work Q. Can't bring myself to join the Xmas challenge, since Sunday's my cheat day, and Monday reflects poorly. I know, I know, a drop is a drop, but still...

-16 lbs for the month! Awesome! :hurray: I might join the Christmas challenge. I could use a challenge to get me through the next couple months. :)

Thanks Clarissa! I'm enjoying it while it lasts.

Thanks LJ! If your initial weigh-in is after cheat day then it's compensated for, but yeah the number itself would be higher.

Thanks Jen! DO IT! Chef too!

MrVee: Yep. Why did I wait so long?:nopity:

288.8 this morning. 2,300 calories yesterday. I'm tired this morning and headed out in the field. Environmental assessments around Kickapoo, Louisiana.

I've lived in biggish cities my whole life (Indianapolis was the smallest), so a place like that seems like another planet to me. Take care of yourself today.

Kickapoo is a Native American tribe. No Kickapoos in Kickapoo though. It's a single intersection with a gas station cafe and some surrounding homes. I was on a hunting lease and a pine plantation today. Pretty boring. I ate a farkleberry and saw a great blue heron and a kingfisher at a pond. I also watched fish feed at an automatic feeder at the pond. It's about 2 hours drive from my house.

2,300 calories today and loads of walking.

290 this morning. The uptick continues. I've not had a single day above 2,300 or not run at least twice in a week. It's all on the scale.

Return to Kickapoo.

288.8 this morning for my official weigh in. -2 pounds for the week, -15.4 for the month, -44.4 for the year. I'm now thinking the 288.2 was the anomaly. I'm still doing well. I ate 2,150 calories yesterday.

Yesterday's Run
2.5 miles
31:21
This was a moderate effort. My knees felt really good, but I was tired from the day in the woods and my allergies were a problem.

My first 2 pound week so I may be done with the rapid weightloss. If so I should still be able to keep the 2lb/week. That would mean 274.2 at the end of the year, -59 lbs for the year, and 1.1 lb/week for the year. I would almost reach my 10% lost from my Oct. 1st weight (274), surpass my class 1 obesity goal (280). Keeping the 2lb/week rate would put me at 211 by my 40th birthday. 2.3 lb/week would get me to my goal of 200 by my 40th.

Too early to tell. I'm hopeful that I will return to a rapid loss for a bit longer. If i could just hit a weight that required a 2lb /wk loss to hit 200 by my 40th I'll be ecstatic. The bottom line is that I do my best and it happens when it happens.

Great job on the weigh-in, Q! You're doing a great job on keeping the calories in check. I'm looking forward to seeing what you weigh on your birthday. I think it'll be really good! :)

Thanks Jen! Whatever it is it will be way less than now and way less than ever before.

288.8 again this morning.

A few years ago (3-5?) I starved myself down to 275 very briefly. In 1996-1997 I took a weightloss prescription (later pulled for causing heart failure) and got down to around 250. Those are my adult lows. I've ranged 250-400 since age 14. Most of that has been at or above 300. Getting below 250 will be new territory for me since junior high. 274 will be the lowest since 97.

Q, not going to try and catch up on everything I've missed since January (gulp..have I been away that long?!) but hoping that you are still kicking ass and doing your thing. You were always a big source of inspiration for me--Hoping you will be again now I'm back! Hana xo
