Frogged's Lily Pad

:iagree:

Awwwwh, hope the date goes well. So cute. Yeah i have to agree i love goofy guys, they are just so adorable!!:):)

Cant wait to hear how the date goes:)

AHeya Greg :)

I have been so totally rubbish keeping up with everyones diaries this last week or so.....I'm hanging my head in shame :(

I know it was like 2 weeks ago but WOW the 52lb difference pictures are amazing. I have to say you really do have adorable eyes by the way :)

:hurray: :hurray: Yay!! Well done on the job thing...Sorry you are having to put up with some dickheads though. You are doing the right thing keeping your head down and just getting on with learning your new routes etc. So please for you :) They will get over it.

Ooooooh a date!!!! How exciting :) I think she sounds perfect, neither of you sound ready to have a full on relationship and i think that's good for you. I get how selfconcoius you are and taking things really slowly is just what you need.....I'm so excited for you :)
And hell yeah, i agree.....nothing cuter than a goofball, especially with those eyes :)
Can't wait to hear how it goes.

:grouphug:

AI agree...my big hulk of a hubby is a goof ball and I love it....good women see past the superficial and we find the keeper who make us smile and laugh :)

Even if this is just practice and a friend...you earn to have a good time with good people...enjoy!! Sorry about your friend..so sad to hear about young loss.

Congrats on the water weight loss...I find I am much more sensitive to food and salt as I get closer and closer to goal...this weight loss getting healthy crap is hard...haha :)

Agreed! Goofball = endearing :)

It's quirks that make you memorable, so just be yourself ... time to share with you probably my favorite quote ever from the always sagacious Dr. Seuss:

“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.â€

Weird is good :D

AWhether it's a 'date' or a 'lunch with a friend', just relax, be yourself...and enjoy it.

I'm sure she'll adore you just as much all the ladies on here do. :p

AGoofy guys are the best, embrace your personality and have fun! It's great you're making friends. I totally know how you feel, because I never really met people before, but now I'm making friends when I can and the loss of weight helps :).

Have fun!

Well, goofy I am, all around :) hehe

I hope so! I said if all goes well and she isn't completely off-put by me, maybe we could continue hanging out. We'll see :)

Not a date! I mean, it is in the sense that we're going to be meeting up at a particular place and time, but nothing more than just a friendly get together :)

It's the equivalent of meeting up with my roommate or something right now.

Thanks for the support, as always, Irish! :)

I'll be sure to update with everything that happens :)

Aww, no worries, Kate :)

Thanks for the compliment about my pic :) I appreciate it! I just felt like posting another pic since it's been a while. I was all set to release my 350lb+ videos and whatnot when I hit my 200lb milestone (which was only 1.4lb away), but then I hit a bit of a lax period and put on the water weight :( blegh.

I'm almost certain it combined with a plateau I stumbled into, so that sort of combination is no good. I'm still fighting my way through it, but it's a fight I'm willing to undertake!

Thanks for the lovely comment :)

And it's not technically a date! lol :D

Well, my only hope is to find a good woman that can see passed all that :)

I do my best to make people smile and laugh, even though most people I encountered outside of family and a few friends never really did that for me while growing up.

Some days, I still feel my old self stepping in and saying, 'Forget it. You're wasting your time.', but with the support of everyone here, and the knowledge of how far I've come, I know that's not the case anymore.

Even if nothing were to pan out, I'll take this as good practice for any future encounters. This is my actual first 'outing' via invitation to someone :) I guess I'm a bit nervous, even though there are no expectations of any kind. I don't go out much on my own, let alone treat someone to a restaurant. So, hopefully I won't make too many errors :)

Well, if quirks make you memorable, then I'll be burned into her memory within the first 5min, I'm sure :p

I love that quote! I've read it before, but it's very poignant for me since I'm nothing but weird! :D

I'll do my best not to disappoint, or make myself seem too awkward.

Still, it's not a 'date' date :)

Just a friendly lunch, which I have almost no experience with either :p

At any rate, it's gonna be an interesting event, for sure.

Thanks, jen!

I do my best to offer kind words of support and encouragement whenever she's told me about the rough days she's having. It'll be a little different face-to-face as I won't have as much time to compose my words. I just hope I don't say or do anything too dopey.

I'll be myself, that's all I can be after all! :p

Thanks for the lovely comment, jen :)

.
Have fun!

Hi Loch!

Well, my personality can be a little depressing at times if I'm to be honest. I still battle certain demons from time to time, but I'm sure it won't pose any issues :) It's usually only when I'm alone do they hit me the hardest. I guess it's good I have a roommate sometimes to keep me distracted.

I've made quite a few friends myself as well :) I still have trouble figuring out what to say or what to do around recent people I've met, but hopefully with time (and maybe a few drinks), it'll get easier ;P

I will have fun, Loch! I just hope she does too :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Ahh Froggo, you'll be fine. Even though it's not a 'date' date, it's nice that you're getting to know one another and improving your friendship! Don't overanalyse and overthink it, just go with the flow, be yourself and enjoy the time spent together.

You're goofy and hot with a heart of gold - three awesome qualities! Don't forget it!

AHeya Greg :)

I feel like we are all your online family and we are really hoping that this 'not a date' goes well for you. You're such an amazing guy and we all want you to find that perfect person to make you happy :)

You do realise that we will want all the gory details :)

You're too kind, Sarah :blush5:

It's in my nature to over-think things. I find I spend a lot of time dwelling on 'what if' scenarios. It sucks because I'm alone most of the time, at home and at work. Sure, my roommate is around, but he's usually locked away playing PS3 games for trophies, and talking to him is like talking to a fraternity kid still in college some days (aka, no meaningful input whatsoever). Then, at work, I'm out and about in the wildness on my own with only the radio and the oddball customer every so often to keep me company.

So, I spend a lot of time with my thoughts and sometimes they really weigh on me.

Eh, anyway. Your lovely words are always so appreciated :) I won't forget it, either!

Thanks Sarah!

I always feel better about my day after spending time on the forums  So, yes, I agree - you all are like my extended family!

I hope to someday meet a few of you irl, if circumstances permit! Maybe a few of us could plan some kind of get together in an area that's about a mid-way point between us, just to hang out and actually get to know each other beyond the realms of the internet :) Who knows! Maybe in time.

Hehe, I'll be sure to let you all know how it goes! :p

Thanks, Kate! :)

Ooooooooo Frog has a date, how exciting!!! (Even if you keep denying it's a DATE date, it's still exciting! Haha!!) I'm sure you'll be fine... and yes, agreed with Kate. We will want ALL the gory details!!!

OMG, yes! Let's go somewhere awesome and interesting (i.e. NOT the U.S. :ack2:) Greg's a genius! hehe

Hahaha that'd be awesome. I would say absolutely DO NOT come to this part of Australia, I would say every other part of this country is a million times better. Would be pretty sweet to go to the UK or US though!! It's in the plans for sometime in the next few years anyway!

haha, could totally be fun! Not even gonna think of the financial side jsut yet since it's probs a long way off, but still! We'd have to go somewhere where there's something fun to do though - I'm totally plugging for an entertainment park somewhere... roller coasters and all that whatnot! Let's see who wants to eat after being whirled in the teacups for 20 minutes! :DD

AOooooooo... I wanna go!!! Well, unless it involves flying over vasts amounts of water..hahaha. Then you can count me out. I'd have to be heavily sedated to do that..lol!

AHeya Greg :)

Look at what you have started!!!!! I'm totally up for all getting together one day! It would be so cool to actually meet everyone. We have all been a massive part of each others life for a while now, I kinda feel I know you all and talk about you guys as I would my 'normal' friends.

I'm up for meeting anywhere, but the uk and Europe would be great for me ( and by far the cheapest :) ) Ireland somewhere I'd love to go, we could all descend on irishprincess!!!!!! But if the idea is to go to theme parks so we don't wanna eat cos we will feel sick all the time then there are some great ones here in the UK.

So when's the 'non date'? I'm getting impatient........

Haha Kate, if ye descended on me i wouldnt know where to bring ye- my house is tiiiiiiiny!! but yeah guys, i love the sound of this!! I would love to meet all of ye some day, it would be such a surreal experience!! The only bad thing is though if we do it anytime soon that i would be like fat before and after! compared to ye skinny bitches! haha

I would love to go to the US( so much kerrrrrrrrching needed tho:( dont think i have the funds for it:( ) or the UK would be well handy!! eeeeeeeeeeek i am SUPER EXCITED. yeeeeeow x

AIrish, this will give you the motivation to keep going so you can be a skinny bitch :) How cool would it be to all meet up, weird but very cool!!

The lunch went great!

She's a very strong, lovely person. I knew it was just as friends, but I couldn't help being nervous. I kept eye contact, tried not to bumble my words, and just went with the flow as best I could. Luckily, she kept the conversation going strong :) She made up for my quiet shyness and actually apologized later if she was being to over chatty - which she wasn't! I made her laugh a few times and she said we should check out some concerts one day. I've only ever been to one, and that was Incubus back in September of last year.

I gave her a pack of the gum I chew and she said later that it was so yummy that it wasn't going to last very long.

So, that was it :) We met up at about 2pm, talked until about 4pm'ish, and she later told me she had a fun time. It's funny though, because she looks very girly (she even had a lovely black accent in her hair), so you wouldn't think it to look at her, but she's HUGE into heavy metal. She pulled up next to me in the parking lot rocking out to it :p lol

Anyway, fun time!

It was just as friends though.

Did well on my weight this week! Down 2.6lb :)

Felt like of washed over this morning though. My roommate and I had some friends over, drank too much, stayed up too late, and.. yeah. Don't feel great today. I took off from work and just kind of planted myself on the sofa for the majority of the day so far.
