Hi everyone :)

I'm back, maybe you remember me from last year. Probably not. Well I haven't lost any weight since then. On a positive note, I haven't gained any weight either :p i think my problem was that i was too strict with myself. Which turned weight loss into an "all or nothing" thing. I tend to be a late-night-eat-until-you're-stuffed-then-fall-asleep-from-the-itis eater. So I'm challenging myself to stop eating so late.

So the concept of this personal challenge is pretty simple. No meals past 8pm. Which is way past sundown, but hey, the title was catchy. And it's very do-able.

I'm trying to lose 20 pounds.

ETA: Rewards: Hair stuff, nail stuff, clothes, shoes. You know, typical girly things. One thing per 5 pounds lost.

Today I did my first workout in a long time :hurray:

ABS/CORE
30 crunches
30 raised leg alternating crunches
30 bent leg crunches
30 bicycles
30 leg raises
30 scissor lifts
Side bridge leg raises (40 each side)
25 spread leg side bends

LOWER BODY
Leg raises (on all fours, 50 each leg)
Bent leg raises (on all fours, 50 each leg)
35 hip raises
Standing hind leg lift w/ chair (50 each leg)
Standing side lift w/ chair (50 each leg)
50 squats

WHOLE BODY
10 dips
Simultaneous arm & knee raise (40 each side)
40 Squat & punch

Sorry if some of the names don't make sense LOL. Took about 40 minutes.

Firstly- LOVE your rewards! I rewarded myself today with a new Body Shop foundation, shampoo/conditioner, and bash gel! It's fantastic when you can do that! And makes it totally worth it!! :)

I totally have/had this too! And you're right, sometimes when you push yourself, it becomes a chore and overwhelming! Then it's no fun (well, I mean, weight loss is kind of fun! Right? Just a little?)

You've set excellent and very attainable goals! And you sound motivated and excited to complete them! That's great! And checking out your workout- omg! That's awesome! I love that you're doing the entire body workout, and not JUST cardio! I personally find weight training a lot of fun! And I love this "squat punch" - I'mma have to try that one! :)

You sound like you have an excellent workout plan to meet your goals!! I love how you've organized it- because it gives other people (like myself!) ideas of what they can do!!

Where abouts in Canada are you from!? And are you a student!?!

Tik I luv body shop stuff. I always wanted to re-up on their mango body butter!

I'm glad you think my goals are attainable, I do too!! I know what it takes to see progress and it's just a matter of me staying consistent! I'm excited to work towards reaching my goal. Because ultimately I will be happier and healthier :)

Yes I think sometimes people forget strength training is just as important as cardio! I plan to alternate the two. I go to University of Toronto (3rd year undergrad). What about you??
 
I like your workout too. It reminds me of the bodyweight challenge I am starting on Tuesday. I like your name Sunshyne!!! Have fun. You can definitely lost 20 pounds.

Last night before bed did 200 crunches (80 regular, 60 each side)

Just finished a cardio workout :hurray: 30 minutes (a mix of jumprope, jogging and walking).

My BMR is somewhere around 2300. So my daily intake goal is 1800 calories (more or less)

I have also been thinking about some good exercises for the core...I think having a strong core is really very important. Keep it up Sunshyne!!! :hurray:

I'm sore. The good sore though. Means my muscles got a good workout :) I will take a rest tomorrow from exercise. My bestie is having a bake sale to raise money for school children in Tanzania. I wonder if they would be offended if I just donate and don't actually eat their treats? lol. Tomorrow I have class all day basically, so hopefully being productive will keep me from boredom-eating.

Thanks Tik...yes hopefully we can get a lot of stuff done today

The bake sale stuff looked so delish...that and I felt like I should give buy something to donate...I ended up buying 3 things. Where did my self control go, lol? Well they were all delish. Hopefully I don't get bubbleguts though. After the sale my friend and I had lunch, I got a chicken wrap with lots of veggies, and a water bottle.

Today was a pretty good/busy/productive day. Again I took a rest from a workout. Still sore (and literally no time)!

As for eating, today went something like...breakfast, snack, lunch...JUNK :(
I started TOM today ughh.

Before bed I'm gonna do 200 crunches (80 regular, 60 each side).

Weigh-in tomorrow morning!

(P.S. It's suppose to snow a lot tomorrow morning so lets hope school is closed :D)
 
Same weight as when I started a few days ago :( in fact a lil more. this is discouraging.
