FORK DOWN by SUNDOWN ?

I know it can be discouraging to put all this hard work in, and not see the results you want :( But there at a lot of things that could contribute to the number of the scale - none of which are in your hands!

Have you taken your measurements yet? You might want to do that! I have found that it's the inches that show the greatest loss!!

You're doing great! Every time you exercise or eat proper, you are working towards your goal! You can do it :) And you're doing an amazing job already!!

PS: Hope you got a snow day! It's crazy outside today! Campus closed at noon, and i think everything may be closed tomorrow too :)
 
Same weight as when I started a few days ago :( in fact a lil more. this is discouraging.

Sunshyne noooooooo don't get discouraged :) Your weight will fluctuate daily which is why ppl recommend to weigh in once every seven days or more. Your body retains water, expels it, etc...so being the same weight does not necessarily mean that you have not lost fat. I think it's too soon to tell, just give yourself a few more days.
 
Xenon, you're right...I just need to be more patient.

Tik, I'm on TOM so I suppose that could be one of the factors beyond my control. I'll keep my head up thanks for the motivation.

So today school was not closed :( I felt like staying home but then a part of me thought "why" .. my house is freezing cold so I might as well be freezing cold at school. I hung out with my friend (from high school, we go to the same uni now) and I mentioned that I work out...he looked me up and down and said I'm fine and I don't need to work out. lol how sweet...but the sad part is I can't feel good about that compliment because I don't think it's true. I need to lose weight and frankly I won't be 100% happy until I do. I've tried getting over my body issues by just accepting it, but I always "relapse" into being uncomfortable at my weight. Unfortunate because I think I have a pretty face but my body holds me back. I feel tired all the time and I *know* it's because of the extra weight. When I'm lighter I have more energy and more confidence.

Friday night I have a date with a really cute guy. How absolutely terrifying.
 
TOM sux! My before TOM weigh ins are always up 3-5 lbs. Now that I know I'm cool about it, but when I didn't know and I did everything right during the week it really frustrated me.

Hey Sunshyne. Good to see you back! You can't expect to be down on the scales when your eating looks like:
"As for eating, today went something like...breakfast, snack, lunch...JUNK "
I think the junk is what's holding you back! Get rid of it!!

These last few days I've been doing good with my water intake. I ran out of green tea so i'll get some more. last night i stayed up all night on skype, i need to sleep earlier. but it was pretty fun to chat with friends at 4am in the comfort of my own home. but I'm paying for it today, mad tired and straight suitcases under my eyes

I'm sorry you feel like that about yourself. I think we all battle that, but it's great that you can talk about it, and hey- you said you think you have a pretty face- that's awesome! I'm sure you're beautiful! I'm sure that every bit of you is beautiful! (That sounded a lot creeper than I meant it too!!)...and this boy seems to think you're pretty fine lookin'! ;)

But it's important that you do this for you! this is something you want- and you know what, you can do it! You're determined and motivated :) Keep it up girl, and you'll be so fierce, you'll be strutin' your stuff all around town!

Okay so remember the guy I had a date with. yes, HAD. As in past tense. As in, it's not happening. (his name is Jordan).

Last night my best friend called me. Turns out her friend dated Jordan...and they still hang out. Red flag. Who still hangs out with their ex? But that didn't really bother me. What bothered me is that he lied about his name. HIS NAME! IN OTHER WORDS he introduced himself as something else, but his real name is Jordan. His ex said that he gives a different name to girls. WHAT KIND OF TOMFOOLERY IS THAT! If you lie about your name, what else are you lying about? I have no time to dechipher his B.S.! Needless to say we're not going out tonight. Or ever. :rolleyes:

On another note I feel like joining a gym...not the one at school though even though it's only $10/month. I feel weird bumping into classmates. there's a new gym by my house way more expensive, $50/month but at least its more convenient and I could meet people in my community. But then again I'm really cheap so i dunno if I want to spend money on a membership I may not even use...

Eating has been good so far today. I have a lot of studying to do. My weight is still around 150. I will do an offical weigh in when TOM is over

Terrible about the guy Sunshyne. I am so happy you found out before dating him though! Plenty of fish in the sea.

Side bridge leg raises (40 each side)
25 spread leg side bends

Leg raises (on all fours, 50 each leg)
Bent leg raises (on all fours, 50 each leg)
35 hip raises
50 squats

50 push ups
 
Taking a study break :waving: I hope everyone is having a really great weekend. Mine is good I'm just studying and relaxing. busy week ahead!

This morning I weighed in at 149. At least I'm back in the 140's. I can't seem to get out of the 140's and into the 130's....I always use to get to 143 then gain :( I'll be so happy when that day comes that I'm in the 130s again :)

I was speaking to my friend she's 5'6 and 130 pounds. healthy right?? well apparently her doctor classified her as overweight! wtf! smh. this is why girls have eating disorders because of idiots like that. and the worst part is I weigh 20 pounds more than her so what does that make me lol!

I agree with weighing once a week too. I always weigh every Saturday morning. I think it gives you a much clearer idea of how you going... especially us women.

Yea I try to keep weigh ins weekly...but sometimes I do it more often just to make sure I'm in the right track. Thanks for the wishes :)

Earlier I had oatmeal for breakfast, baked chicken and side salad for lunch. Drank water throughout the day too :)

What a nut! lol Well If she is small framed she may be considered towards the end of being withing a healthy weight range, but still definitely within healthy weight range, unless he is going by an older standard. I'm 5'3" and small framed and a doctor in the past told me that my ideal weight range is between 103 and 125 or something like that.

Anyways Sunshyne, I'm sure if you're making it that close to the 130's crossing over the 140's will definitely happen as long as you stick with the good things you are doing :)

Someone 5'6 (such as myself) has a healthy weight range of 118-155...she's 25lbs below the high end! She is definitely within the healthy range (and looks healthy and normal to me!)

Dinner was a small plate of rice and chicken, and 1 slice pizza. plenty of water! I know pizza was the best choice but it's better than the 4 I used to have. One step at a time.

Farbeit from me to call someone who weighs 130 an overweight individual, but the healthy weight range has such a broad range because it considers people of small, medium, and large frame. Persons with a small frame would be tending toward the lower portion of the spectrum and persons with a large frame the higher...that is why I specified small frame. I know that doctor's consider your frame when recommending an ideal weight because I've been obese for many years and they always tell me to tend toward the lower range of the spectrum because my frame is small. I have not seen your friend, but I really do not think I would consider her as overweight at all, I was just trying to think of why the doctor possibly said that.

Yeah I was totally agreeing with you!! you're right, she could be small framed and thus the doc was concerned. Either way though, he's an idiot because she has body image issues :smash:

 
Lol that is insane! She sounds tiny! If you google healthy check systems height weight chart they have a pretty nice one. Anyways I measured my elbow and it said medium which I right on because I would look horrible at 111 pounds :( literally my head would look GIANT lol
