Forearm exercises useful?

The only reason I did reverse curl and the exercise that works wrist+finger flexor is because I thought it would make my formarms look better, give more definition etc... But I don't do bicep curls because my coach called it the vanity exercise and it's an isolation exercise, but aren't forearm exercises much like bicep curls?

In what way? A vanity exercise? Anyway try hammer curls! Works biceps and forearms in the same move, it's worked great for me. Just like a standing dumbell curl but instead of your palms facing out in front of you they face your body the whole time. Keep your wrists locked.

BTW...does your name derive from Liquid Tension Experiment?

Hammer curls definitely are great for your forearms and bicep. I find if I use dumbells for alot of motions I get enough of a forearm workout without really doing much in the way of wrist curls. You can also start with a hammer motion and turn your hand to a regular palm in to, that hits your wrist and helps to peak your bicep.

Grab some dumbbells and just walk around with them. We're not talking 5 or 10 pds...some heavy suckers and walk for X amount of time.
