Flumes Journal....

Hi guys!!! (and gals!)

I'm back. Had one of the worst weeks in my life and now things can only get better, right?

I think I gained a few pounds...my jeans are a bit tighter but I haven't jumped on the scale yet. The past week was mainly fast food or snacking on appetizers and such.

Next week doesnt look any better for food....its hunting season....something I've been waiting for for over 11 months and its finally here. Restaurant dinners and sandwhich lunches. Yup....can't wait!

Anyways...I still have to unpack...just got home a couple of hours ago and the house is just as we left it. I wont be online for a few days....but I hope to be having a good time.

So thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. They got me thru one of the saddest times of my life. Today I'm smiling.

I hope you are all doing well. I'm going to followup on as many journals as I can. I've missed coming online....but I havent forgotten my way back.

Hugs to you all.

Take care.

I'm sorry you came back to witness the debauchery on my thread but glad it made you smile, lovely ;) Missed you very much, hope today is sunnier <3

Hi guys!

I'm going hunting for a few days. Much needed R&R.

But I will miss ya's!

Cabbie....keep em occupied for me will ya? lol

Take care!

What will you be hunting? Deer season opens here tomorrow. Pheasant season has been open for a while now. Not sure about anything else because that's about all we go for.

Enjoy your R&R!

Deer season opens Saturday here. Only 1 week season.
No pheasants here...just grouse bear and moose.

Does your hubby shoot trap?

i just inherited a couple of Berretas and a Gamba trap gun :) Happy Happy :) Now I gotta learn to shoot!

Take care Tiggy. Cya when I get back!

hmmm, I know what a grouse is. And I know what a bear is. But I'm having problems imagining a combination of the two! What on earth is a "grouse bear"?

Flumes, I'll do my best to keep the ladies occupied, Yes Sir! It will be a struggle, but.. hey it needs to be done...

We have a trap gun (not sure what kind though) but almost never use it. Hubby is more into the whole one shot one kill thing. He prefers to hit a target that is impossibly far away. If he had ever been in the military I imagine he would have made a good sniper.

Gives a whole new meaning to reach out and touch someone, right? :biggrinjester:

I live in Massachusetts (check your civil liberties at the door), and we don't allow rifle hunting inthis state.

Used to shoot trap, used a Franchi over/under 20 gauge when I was a lad... haven't done much in the way of hunting or even shooting in recent years.

WHAT??!?!?!?!?!? How UN-American!!! Kidding... Well, not really.

Around here everyone's got 1 or more guns either in their vehicle or on their person. I myself have had a concealed weapon permit since I was 18. I just can't imagine living somewhere that guns weren't an every day part of your life.

Kinda ironic considering Massachusetts is arguably the most democratic state in the country (most certainly in terms of policy liberalization at least). :patriot:

Anyway, Flumes, I also wanted to pipe in and wish you the best in these hard times. Hope you didnt go overboard with the cafes and sandwich lunches during your hunting trip :p
