Flumes Journal....

I'm running in public now:) Not only is it like I'm not running on my own but I feel like I owe it to everybody here to keep it up and get better. Shame we don't all live closer so we could eventually do a 5k together.
Thanks Jjjay Jjjay! Its still a bitch, (pardon my english accent), but motivating myself to go is getting easier. Also, I'm not scared to lose my breath...or embarrassed if people see me anymore. And I'm not 'fall on the floor dead' tired afterwards.

Oh yeah...the best thing?? Because of this site...it doesnt feel like I'm running on my own!

Thanks again!

I'm running in public now:)

Atta girl! Don't ya feel 'free' almost?

I've been running at the cottage on the highway (against traffic so I can atleast get the license plate number of the guy who kills me) and it feels awesome. I'm sure the vehicles flying by me at 100+ km/hr have a few choice thoughts for me, but I don't care. I love it!

Take care!

I'm glad you're so pumped about running, that's great! I love running, clears my head... it's like meditation time for me. Mind you we have severe weather warnings for the next 3 days so I don't think I'll be doing much... except for on the treadmill!

Argh everyone is eating cherries, I want cherries!!! Freakin winter!!

Food reporting time.

(Can I just skip the past couple of days and start fresh??)

530-oatmeal ala Tony 400
930-3 eggs and a burger patty 600
930-tuna with lettuce salad w/vinegar 250
2:00 2 cup cherries 200 (i didnt eat the pits...does that count for something??
7:00 smallest steak (eye of round) I ever ate in my life - 4 oz, 1/2 sweet potatoe, 1/2 English cucumber 600 approx
900 snack ??? chit...out of calories. hmmmm gonna be tough. I hate long days

So about 2000 calories. Which I am ok with seeing they were pretty healthy.

No wife...no kids...life is good. (And really quiet for a Friday nite)

Have a great weekend kids!

It's got too hot to run much outside so I have to make do with the treadmill for the moment. I run much faster on the treadmill so can't run for long whereas outside I just keep my own pace and run for a lot longer. It's definitely a lot more exilerating outside so can't wait for October when it will cool down. There are so many beautiful places to run here without having to go near traffic.
Have a really great weekend.

Ok...food today was great (I think)

Have a great evening and rest of the weekend.

I'd quite like a cottage, plz. Lucky man. Food looks awesome--You're so restrained! Take care my lovely xx

Thanks Sunnysideup!
I learned one thing.....if you want to give up enjoying yourself while on vacation...buy a cottage! Its a lot of work. You only get to go when you have time off (and your SO doesnt have any todo's at home and the kids arent in school or have hockey etc...So between one month and the next, you might discover mice in your mattress...your fridge died.....a tree just happened to fall on your power line....roof leak??....fuck does that grass ever grow quick, I just cut it last time I was here (three weeks ago)....Mr. 75 yr old neighbour needs help with his cottage cause hes too old to sharpen a pencil let alone take care of a cottage...and then the SO wants to paint the bathroom on the hottest day of the year.. the water pump quit again???....Ohh..and the expenses that go with it....power, repairs, upkeep.... and it goes on and on.

Yeah...buying a cottage was a great idea. : rolls eyes:

(but going for a swim in the lake during sunset....priceless)

Have a great day you!

Sounds like if you have a cottage, you don't need a gym!!!

Idyllic though! I'm assuming a cottage is like a cabin by the lake sort of thing? Because here in the UK, people live in cottages as their main home!

Well...today started out ok. Then got home from work and as it normally turns out, a misunderstanding between my wife and I has become "my fault".

(I should be used to this by now) lol

Anyways...food today.

B-oatmeal - 400
S-3 eggs and cottage cheese 320
L-whole wheat pasta and pesto sauce 1200
S-2 pieces of watermelon
D-1 can of tuna and 1/2 cucumber <can you tell I was pissed?> lol - 200
S-2 oz of kolbassa and 2 crackers 350
S- 1 gin and tonic <hiccup> no really just a couple <hiccup> 500

So Im a lil over lol. Hopefully tommoz a better day.

Have a great nite and even better day tommorow!

Of course, it's always the man's fault ;)

Did you enjoy the World Cup match? It was so much fun here as we won. :) There's a lot of hangovers in Spain today and I would guess that 1000s of people didn't turn up for work this morning.

Haha, I try not to be like that with my piece of Yank but it's *always* his fault. She'll come round though--Stick to your guns. Hope tomorrow is better xx

I'ld love to live there Jjjay...but it was not constructed properly for Canadian winters. ie insulation and proper year round heating ) And commuting to work thru frequent snowstorms on a crappy 2 lane highway is not appealing at 4:30 in the morning. Spring summers and fall are good enough with the occasional trip in the winter for ice fishing) Heres some pics.

Tomorrow is definately a new day - we get to start all over again!

Yup...new day today....Off to a great start! Thanks TP :)

Spoken like a true lady! lol Thanks Eycky. I watched the match at work on a webfeed....it was awesome. Wished there was a few more goals but it was a good match none the less. Congrats to your country's win!!!

You can always 'spank the Yank' if he doesnt agee with you! lol
Today is better...thanks. She came around just like you said. ;)

Off to a great start and am just pumped about the concert tonite. Can't wait!

Hope you are all havin a great day...will check in later!

WOW! I'd say that's more than just a cottage! Looks like a beautiful place to spend time - even if it is always spent doing work to maintain it!

Hope you had fun at the concert!

Good day eh!

Back online. And back to work in a few minutes.

First of all....if you ever get a chance to see Sir Elton John....go. I've been to about three dozen concerts in my life and this one was the best by far. Sound was awesome, and he played for 2 hours 40 minutes non-stop. And he was truly a gentleman thanking the crowd for the applause after every song. He even signed autographs and shook hands with the whole front row.
I'm still in awe.

After the concert I grabbed the dogs and one son and headed for the cottage. Two beautiful days of sunshine and even my diet was pretty good.

Today
Brekkie - oatmeal and two coffees
L - 2 eggs and lean ham w/one slice of toast
D - will be cucumber tomatoe salad, 1 turkey sausage and some brown rice
S - will be tuna and lettuce
workin nites so hopefully any other snacking will be fruits or sunflower seeds.

Have a great day kids and hope you are all losin it!

wowo Flumes, the cottage looks amazing - how lucky you are!! What a place to hang out in summer.

Glad you enjoyed Elton John - the old ones are the best. I saw Stevie Wonder in concert a few weeks back and he ROCKED! Incredible to think these guys have been performing for so long and are still magical to watch.

Thanks Sunnysideup!
