Flubber B Gone.....

I had a nice day today w/ my kiddos. We went school shopping and out to lunch. I was really proud of myself. We went to the Chinese Buffet (Buffet rhymes w/ muffet if you as my little guy...lol). I had 1 plate of food there, all time first for me. I was full and happy. I'm totally addicted to their green beans!!!!

That's it, no real updates...just passin' through:)

Another cookfest today:

My garden made some monster zucchinis and I couldn't let them go to waste, so I made up a new recipe for them. I peeled them and sliced into thick rounds and cut out the seeds. I softened them in the microwave. Meanwhile, I made a stuffing out of saute'd Morningstar Farms breakfast sausage (added sage, salt n pepper) then added leftover mushrooms, onions & peppers and stuffed the zucchinis w/ it and topped w/ a tiny bit of mozzarella cheese. They were really very good, everyone loved them.

I also roasted some italian beans w/ cherry tomatoes.

And made the family some marrinated chicken breast w/ salsa. (I didn't have any of it, they raved though).

Made a big batch of brown rice. I'm going to make a cool version of stuffed cabbage, but I'm going to use swiss chard instead of cabbage...lol I'll let ya know how that one works out.....

I'm going to soon be giving up my beloved Morningstar Farms foods and start my trech toward being a vegan. I depend on processed foods far to much and I know they aren't good for me. I've been having some troubles w/ arthritis in my fingers and feel that if I clean up my diet a bit, it just might help. I'm sure it will also help w/ getting rid of some of the flubber.;)

Fly'n by w/ a brief update. The summer is almost over and the kiddos will be going back to school next week. This always depresses me terribly. I love when they're home. I've been coasting diet and exercisewise and have pretty much maintained, I'm at 140, up a little from the 136 but not bad considering. I've set some new goals for myself and the game starts Wednesday.

1. I'm going vegan!!! I'm really excited about this and can't wait to start.

2. I'm going to be starting over w/ the P90X series. I'll be doing it religiously every morning after the kids get on the bus.

3. My taekwondo class was cut down to 2 days from 3, but I signed back up for thier Saturday taebo class.

4. I plan to do my total gym 3 days per week (on nonclass days)

What do I hope to achieve? I want to see 130 pounds on the scale. I don't really live by the scale, it's just keeps me moving forward.

So that's the plan. Be back Wednesday to start journaling again.

Hey there.

I haven't stopped in to say hi in a couple of months. Sorry.

But I was working out on the heavy bag t'other day and that reminded me of you.

So, pretty much just sayin' hi.

:waving: Hi! It's great to see you. The heavy bag is awesome, I can't wait to get back into the swing of things. It was a busy summer here and I let a lot of things go and have been MIA here too. I spent a ton of time w/ my kids. I was having a bit of pre-seperation anxiety about them going back to school. I'm on day 3 of catching up all the things that have fallen behind. Hopefully, next week I'll be back on a decent exercise schedule.

Sorry for the ramble...lol It was great to see you in here today. It gave me a big smile.

Wow...it's been a long time since I stopped by. I'm continuing to train 4 - 5 times per week. I'm down to 129# I've never, ever been in the 120s before. Pretty excited about that. Getting ready to go for my next belt at taekwond (blue). Have participated in a tournament and have a demo coming up. Still eating a vegetarian diet and working more toward vegan w/ raw food days. I feel great.
