I would prefer a buffet to a meal anyway even if money wasn't an issue. I just think its more fun and less formal.

You are young....I hope you learn to deal with stress now ....because I still want to stuff a yummy Snickers bar in my face every time I am pissed...lol....and I am hitting the 40 mark in 2 years!! ugh....now I want 10 snickers...haha...but for real if you can use exercise as a stress reliever do it!! the benefits are unmeasured!! Hugs to you my dear.....Keep pushing through...it will calm down.....it always does!!
 
Oh girly, i hate when i fall off my healthy eating plan( which has happened to me too many times since i started this diet plan).


I deal with stress in other ways, sometimes i completely lose my appetite, and other times i just STUFF MY FACE WITH FOOD!! haha


Anyways hun its not to late to pick yourself up and start eating healthy again. Well to be honest its NEVER too late.:):)


I know you can do this, well done on not ordering chinese the other night, i dont know how you did that chick, i love chinese i wouldnt have been able to do it!!

Thanks everyone! Still trying to get all the way back on the wagon. I feel like I'm only halfway back on. I worked about 11 and 1/2 hours yesterday and am working 14 hours today. Had a blueberry scone for breakfast and just had 3 pieces of fried fish and some fries from the cafe. I have some pulled pork bbq and pretzels packed for later, but might just eat the pretzels since I'm pry already over my calories because of my stupid lunch. UGH!


So I really want to start my exercise up, but I'm having some problems with my right leg. My calf and ankle are aching and it really hurts. It's not really swollen but it feels like it is. I haven't twisted or done anything that would have caused it. I don't know if the best thing would be to try exercise or not. I have this for the past 3-4 days and it stinks. I don't want to go to the doctor because I'm pretty sure I'll just get sent to a specialist or told I need physical therapy (the usual recomendation from the doctor) and I can't afford either one of those.


Gonna do some walking today. It feels better when I walk rather than just sit, so maybe exercise is exactly what it needs.


I'm really gonna try to get back on here everyday, it seems like this place keeps me on track and motivated. So I'm just going to have to make time with my school work. Thanks for everyone checking in and for the support, it's great.


I gained 3 lbs. So I'm restarting at 165lbs. I'm gonna do it this time!
 
AFor your ankle - if you have a bathtub or a big plastic bin (like a rubbermaid or one of the plastic drawers from those plastic sets that you'd keep arts and crafts stuff or underwear in), go out and buy two big bags of ice from the grocery store, fill the bin up with cold water, add some of the ice, and soak your leg up to where it aches. Spell the alphabet a few times with your toes, spell everyone in your family's name in cursive, do circles, stretch back and forth, etc. Then TAKE SOME MOTRIN. Then go for a walk, get your body warm and your blood flowing, and then do all of the same things you did in the cold water, except just out in the plain air. Stretch stretch stretch! Seriously, just one or two motrin works wonders. Also, drink lots of water and rest! Do some swimming or walk, low-impact stuff. Lunges are good too.

I'm not in school but I update from my work, and I find that when I have done an hour or two of consistent work, that I give myself a 15 minute break on this website (hey, my coworkers take coffee breaks, I get a motivation break!) Keeps my mind fresh and motivated!
 
AGlad your back on it again hun. Don't worry about the 3lbs gain, it'll soon be off again.

Hope your leg and ankle feels better soon. The cold water thing is a great idea. I know exercise in itself is an incentive to eat healthily, but remember that food is more important when it comes to losing weight.

You work such long shifts!!!!!!
 
Well I've went to the doctor. She was at a loss. No clue really what was wrong. She had me go get an xray for my ankle. I was supposed to hear back about the results yesterday but didn't. Called them and they told me she hadn't looked at them yet. Still no call today. I think it feels more like a muscle pain. Sometimes it's concentrated in my ankle, but usually rides up my calf. Nothing helps really. Even got a pain pill from my doctor and that hasn't done anything.


I'm Frusterated


I'm eating better again. And overtherainbow, I was just working some overtime those days. I'm back to my usual 8 hour shifts now, thank goodness! I think I was about 163 or 164 lbs. My scale is hard to read. I really want to get a digital one when I get the chance.
 
Got a call back from the doctor. The xray was fine. I'm supposed to wait three weeks to see if the pain goes away. If it doesn't she wants to do a bone scan. I'm kind of annoyed. Wish there was a small fracture or something that could just be fixed so I can move on. Instead I'm going to have a wonderfully large medical bill in return for no diagnosis.


I'm gonna restart my exercise, I can't just sit around and wait to see if this will just magically go away. It's not bothering me much today, so I'm taking that as a good sign.


So I just got dressed and was sickened by a lot of the fat I have on my arms and waist. I've got to kick this into gear..
 
I hope the bills wont be that exspensive but hun, your health is your wealth, i say relax for another while and follow your doctors instructions. Stay off any hard physical activity for the 3 weeks he/she told you:)

Really hope it gets better soon. I think princess is right and you shouldn't start exercising again till the pain goes. Descisionmaker has an awful ankle injury, and its healing has been considerably slowed because she put exercised on it.

I get them waves of revulsion at my body every now and then as well. But they are a good thing, it means we really want to change it, and that we are not just ignoring it any more. I feel bad about moaning about my weight to people with higher bmi's than me, but we can rant at each other about our flab till the cows come home as our bmi is matching lol.
 
Yeah, I suppose you guys are right. I'll take it easy.


About the bills, yes I do have insurance but it is terrible! Not to mention my budget is pushed to the max so having to pay on a medical bill even if it isn't that big will be an ordeal. I'm hoping I can get some of it written off and then will just make payments on the rest. Maybe it won't be as much as I'm preparing for, but you never know.
 
AO Fleur....I totally understand ...this week has been a total waste for me...my knee feels better..I hope your ankle is up to pair soon too!! I know you will be back on track in no time!!!

Hey everyone. Been awhile since I've been on here. I think I just gave up completely since I've been gone. Still about 165, but have just hovered there. I havent been paying a lot attention to what I've been eating and haven't done any exercise. Work and school and planning the wedding have taken all my time. We had our engagement shoot today. I got to see some of the pics already and it's definetly motivated me. I'm going tomorrow to get a membership to the ymca. They have a special for college students 4 month for $100. I want to make sure I stick to it, so getting a year membership isn't gonna happen and this is more affordable for me right now.


I think I'm going to have my "last meal" tonight. Gonna get some McDonalds after work. My last big fast food pig out. I know I shouldn't, but if i want to do this right I'm gonna have to stay away from that stuff. It's my downfall. Having it here and there will be fine, but not as much as I get it now.


I'm proud of myself that I didn't gain the weight back that I lost, I simply just wasn't losing weight. But I want to get in shape so I can try to apply to become a police officer. There's a physical fitness test that I have shot at completing in my current state! lol


And of course I want to look beautiful for my wedding!


So here's to a restart!
