Hey everyone,

Just had a busy weekend, not much time for getting on here. Been struggling with my workouts. Just haven't had the motivation to do much. Did the rebounder a bit, but just can't bring myself to run. Ugh, this is pathetic.

:):)Its ok..I had that kind of weekend too..We will get it back this week..the weekend is gone..forget it!! :):)
 
Have someone coming over to look at the futon I'm trying to sell around noon. Need to get my shower so I look presentable! lol. Be nice to have an extra $50.

Breakfast- 1 egg-
two pieces ww toast-70
butter-50

Stomach kinda hurts today, hopefully that goes away soon.
 
So the power went out in my apartment. I'm not sure what the cause is. My landlord pays the utilities, so either he didn't pay the bill or there's some other reason. I was in the middle of cooking some fish when it went out and everything in my kitchen is electric.

So I decided to leave early for work and go to pizza hut. I ordered the lunch buffet and salad bar. I had a huge salad, two small pieces of pizza, one and a half breadsticks, and one of the sweet stix. I had water with it. I'm very proud of this outing. I controlled myself at a buffet! Normally I would just eat piece after piece of pizza, a bunch of breadsticks and even more of those sweet stix.

While it was the best nutritional meal, I'm proud of it nonetheless. It means I'm getting better at controlling myself.

Dinner will be a turkey sandwhich on ww bread, bag of baked chips, a banana and a coke zero.

Really hoping the power is back on when I get home later tonight around 10:30, otherwise the night will be miserable. I won't even be able to turn a fan on! Still haven't heard from the landlord, so that isn't good.
 
Well done for eating so well at a buffet, i dont know how you did it!! i would be like 'nom nom nom' haha

Its great that you can now control yourself around food:) I think im learning to control myself around food lately too:)

Ah, well thanks. I've stumbled a few times, but was successful today. I really wanted to go to a chinese buffet but I knew there would be no hope for me being near my calorie count for the day if I did that. So pizza huts salad bar sounded good. Then I saw the buffet and figured I might as well. lol
 
Fleur you are doing so good! I have found the healthy eating and moving on with my day helps me not focus so much on food or my next meal.

Gonna go on a two mile walk later tonight and then gonna hit the rebounder when I get home after work. Gotta get myself back into exercise, I've felt sorry for myself and been off the horse for too long!
 
I agree, running is so boring. Sometimes when I am going on a long run (note, long is more than 1.5 miles), if I feel like stopping, I give myself permission and instead of walking I will do lunges, or side-straddle hops, or kind of a sideways gallop where I'm going forward but I'm facing sideways and I get low and swipe the ground with my hand.. then I do that until I'm tired and running doesn't sound so bad any more :) plus it shakes it up and keeps it interesting and raises your heart rate for a bit.. or I say that I can't stop until I can't see any more cars (I live on a busy street) so that rarely happens, or I pick out landmarks a few hundred yards away and say that I have to run to that one, then once I get there I pick out another one... all kinds of crazy games that would probably get someone put in a mental institution if I talked out loud about them LOL..

Well done for being so self controlled at the buffet :D I LOVE the pizza hut salad bar, I will have to go there soon I think. The Harvesters salad buffet is great too.

The first diet I went on was started the day after I went to pizza hut at lunch time actually. I ate so much that I couldn't move, I felt sick with it. I went and weighed myself, and I was disgusted with myself and the number I saw.
 
Well the electric was turned back on at 5:20pm yesterday. My landlord said something went wrong with his bank info so the electric company didn't receive payment for 2 months. So they cut the power yesterday at noon. On top of that, my landlord lost possession of all his rental unit keys and address tage for 3 days! So he re-keyed everything. So now I have to make keys again.

He told me how much he had to pay the electric company and the reconnection fees like it was my fault! Excuse me?!?! My lease says I pay you xxx amount and you pay utilities! He thinks everything that goes wrong there is my fault, which is untrue. I don't live in filth like his other renters and I want to keep my place nice. So if there's a problem, I'm going to tell him so he can fix it.

UHHHH! So frusterating! Just need to keep it together for 10 more months, then I'm moving out and will be living with my fiance (who will be my husband then)

Breakfast:

Jack links beef steak strip-80 cal

Dinner-turkey on wheat with cheese and mayo-280 cal

Michelina's flatbread pizza- 300 cal

I think that's about 1380 for the day. Not sure if I'll eat the flatbread pizza or not, we will see how full I am with the sandwhich and chips. Might just save it for later in my shift. I always get a little hungry around that time.

Didn't do the rebounder last night, but did walk 2 miles at work. Will be doing that again tonight. Hopefully can bring myself to do some sort of exercise at home tomorrow. If it's nice maybe the fiance and I will go play some basketball.

Overtherainbow- I LOVE the pizza hut salad bar too! I think next time I'll make sure that's all I get, I know I did well, but I think next time I'll just get two plates of salad, I love their french dressing! Plus I can get a little pudding for dessert and by just getting the salad bar, I'll save a few bucks!

I realised I really needed to start losing weight when my work pants were so tight in the tummy area, it was actually painful to sit down.:ack2:

Chelsea- those are some good ideas for running, but I just don't think they'll work for me. I found an exercise bike on craigslist for $10 and I'll be getting it on Friday, so I'll just switch between that an my trampoline and watch tv! Or satisy my new addiction of Halo Reach... I'm pretty sure I could play that and sit on the bike and peddle!

I watch series on my Ipad while I sit on my bike, that works pretty well, and it's just right for a 45 minute session. Plus, most series build a plot towards the end of the episode, so as you get more tired, you are also more distracted :)
 
LOL! We'll see how it goes. Might as well try since I'd otherwise just be sitting on the couch! If it doesn't work out I'll just turn on my netflix. I don't have cable or anything so I just watch my shows off there.

I can't wait till friday!
 
I had an exercise bike back in the day and I loved it...i think I need to get some type of machine again so i can watch tv and peddle or walk....I like the idea of a recumbent bike just because you can mindless peddle and sit...let me know how you like your bike and if you can "game" while on it...lol

and PIZZA HUT bread sticks are so so yummy!! Our Pizza Hut is a KFC too...yes you can get those awesome mashed potatoes-n-gravy and pizza at the same time on their buffet!!
 
Yeah, I'm super excitded about getting it. It will be way more enjoyable for me than running, that's for sure.

Tete, I'm not sure I could handle a pizza hut/kfc buffet!! OMG! Those bisquits and bread pudding would really wreck my day! lol

skipped breakfast today and just ate a big lunch. Was breakfast food though!

bisquits and gravy, scrambled eggs, and chocolate milk.

Pretty sure this was a calorie catastrophe for the day. That lunch came in at around 1004 calories.

Dinner was a michalina's flatbread pizza-300 cal and a bag of baked chips-140

Came in at about 1444 for the day, and I'm happy with that. The breakfast was delish and my dinner was enough to satisfy me. If I get hungry later I'll have a small snack and drink lots of water.

So I'm going to be getting a free exercise bike from my parents instead of buying that other one I talked about. Will get it saturday evening. Pretty excited about it. Just got rid of a futon from my apartment so I have a nice place for it and the rest of my equipment. (rebounder, dumbells, punching bag.)

Gonna go for a two mile walk later tonight, then get to go home to a whole sink full of dishes from lunch to do after work. Yay!:cuss:

Getting excited for the weekend, our future husband and I's engagement party with our family is on Saturday. It's going to be a lot of fun!
 
I think your landlord was lying- I actually didn't pay the electric bill for about 6 months at one point and I still didn't get cut off!

And- your not living with your fiance!!!! Blooming heck!!! Its quite romantic and old-fashioned, but aren't you worried that he might have loads of annoying habbits or something? I'm sure everything will be fine tho. Where are you having your party? Hope you've arranged some healthy food for the buffet :)

Nope, we're both Catholic and neither of our parents would approve of it. Having said that, he usually stays the weekends with me and sometimes a night during the week. I already know a lot of his annoying habits and I accept them lol!

We're just have it at my parents house. It's gonna be a party/let everyone know what all has been planned type thing. Nothing fancy. There won't be healthy food really, some pork bbq, chips, cake. I'm going to indulge a little, but going to watch my portioning. Have a little but not a lot.
 
So I've drank a TON of water tonight and I'm still hungry. I know I'm already over my calories for the day. Maybe it's not that I'm hungry, I'm craving food. Stupid fast food that I have to pass on my way home tonight is gonna test me. Most nights I ignore it, but what if I give in? I know I'll feel awful, terrible. This is soooo hard right now.

Oh no!! Were you craving a certain type of food? Or maybe were you bored? I always get the munchies when I'm bored. Sometimes if I'm craving something like fruit or meat or cheese, I'll let myself have it because that might mean I'm missing out on something nutritionally. Not a whole lot of whatever it is, but a serving size or something. It's ok!!! It happens to all of us... like when I walk through the bakery section at the grocery store (you can't go around it... they FORCE YOU to walk thru the bakery to get to the frozen foods... devils.) and I want a donut or something... but then I remember I have to put it up here and own up to eating it and caving in and I usually step away.

Don't worry!!! It's a war made up of small battles and you CAN'T win them all. But as long as you recognize that you need to win most of them, you will be FINE.
