Morning Tom!! Great job on the workout yesterday, but I think only "YOU" know how your body is feeling and if it's tired and hurting all over, it's probably due for a change up in something, fatigue will wear you down, physically and mentally, which I don't have to tell you that. I see that scale is showing you another good day!! SWEET!!! It's almost time for that big B-Day!! My only advise to you, IS.... don't go working out so hard that when the big day comes your in so much pain you can't even enjoy the day. LOL LOL Have another good one!! And keep up the great work!
Hi, Kim. OK, when Steve comes back, I'll tell him you said it was OK, LOL. I'm thinking about doing a century 2 days before my bday, but I'm not sure now. I can't do my planned training ride on Saturday, the way I was planning, at least that's the way it looks now. Hmm, I wonder if it's OK to have a piece of cake on my bday. . .
Morning Tom! I was just looking at your ticker and thinking I'd be highly surprised if it took you until 7/23/08 to shed the last 27ish pounds...I mean 1) your plateaus are getting shorter (not even sure they are plateaua, maybe just the cycle in which your body loses weight?)...2) you keep increasing the intenstity and variety of your training...3)your bp is just one indicator that you are so much more fit than this time last year -and even if it's only a small increase, that plus your reduced bodyfat means that your metabolism is higher now than when you first started
....so, not to provoke the scale gods or anything...but I just don't see it taking another year...you might have to retire that "big boned" theory sooner than you think (oh, and I saw that show...until then I believed it too).
I have a feeling it will take that long, Cym -- mainly because I think the last 10 pounds will put the Scale Gods in full revolt. I wouldn't be surprised if I got to the teens before the end of the year, and then it took 8 or 9 months just to lose the last 15 pounds. As for my metabolism -- well, it's better in one sense, since I'm carrying proportionally more muscle, but it's worse in another sense, since my NARM drops with my weight. No fair!
I heard a place nearby is going to offer those dunk tank tests, along with a full metabolic analysis, for only $29. I plan on doing that if I can find out where to go.

Oh yeah, go ahead and tell Steve I told you that, I'm ready!!!
Now that would be something! You've seen these hats right? Maybe I'm the only one in on this joke, but it would be funny!
