Weight: 230.4 - I guess the scale gods and GOM decided to be nice on Father's Day and humore me with an even better reading than yesterday. I'm not complaining!
Food yesterday came to 2,259 calories:
Fat: 87 gm, 25%; 24 gm saturated, 9%
Carbs: 204 gm, 33%; 32 gm fiber
Protein: 189 gm, 34%
Alcohol: 3 gm, 1%
My macros were exactly where I wanted them to be. Had a mahi-mahi sandwich for lunch and some lean beaf for dinner, giving me all the protein I needed.
With my NARM of 2,377 calories, and 720 calories from weights and SS cardio, I ended the day with an 838 calorie deficit, an accumulated deficit of 3,392 calories this month, and an accumulated deficit of 7,571 calories in this Round.
Right after I woke up, lying in bed, I was thinking on what a difference a year can make. Last Father's Day, I was almost 40 pounds heavier; I lay awake at nights listening to my heart pound because of my high blood pressure; my foot was in agony from plantar fasciitis, which I had had for 17 months; I was close to being depressed; I couldn't get up the stairs without huffing and puffing. I was thankful for a Father's Day, because I didn't think I see that many more of them.
On this Father's Day, I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my bike; I'm happy; I'm looking forward to many decades of happiness with my wonderful kids and hopefully their spouses and kids. I feel in control of my life for the first time in many, many years.
