First of May – My New Way

Morning: buckwheat bread 120, peanutbutter 180, soy latte 30, chicken 100.
Snack: almonds and hazels 150, apple 50.
Lunch: buckwheat bread with curry spread 200, cucumber and banana 120.
Snack: smoothie with frozen mango, soy protein powder, vegan yoghurt and apple juice 300.
Dinner: cauliflower soup 150, popped millet 227, vegan yoghurt with berries and cinnamon 175.
Total: 1802

Have been hungry and tired today, but no pain besides a few hours this morning. Have finally been eaten more and had a few hours this afternoon where I didn't feel tired at all (have had 3 cups of coffee and a cup of black tea today, perhaps that's why..?). Anyway sinuses are starting to act up again so I am skipping exercise. Have had a eight hour shift at the hospital with lots of walking around and stairs so I'm pretty good with weight loss still; I think.
 
Not so sure about weight loss anymore, I hope I still am loosing even though I haven't been exercising for a few days now, today was so windy and rainy so even though cold is getting better and better I didn't want to risk anything - I have a sore throat and can't breathe properly without nasal spray.
The smart Clarissa would go to the gym and exercise indoor, but I haven't been there for FOUR months!!? it's a little hurdle now I have to get over asap. Discovered that at least two other girls at my study have the same gym and one of them have stopped going too. Perhaps we could team up and crunch the hurdle together. I feel heavy and bloathed, but I am eating what I am posting and nothing else so it'll pass at some point I guess. Will post today's eating soon.

I am three inches bigger around my waist than last week, hip and thigh half an inch down. My lower extremeties are a bit swollen, must be body's reaction to suddenly having a job where I walk and stand up most day.
However I still hit a new low 133,2 kg that's a pound down from Monday. :D

Snack: strawberries 100 with vegan vanilla yoghurt 75, dark chocolate 540.
Dinner: almonds 100, chestnut crisp bread 100, salmon 500.
Total: 2315
It has been a long and busy day in high gear at work and then I went grocery shopping on an empty stomach and made the bad decision to buy chocolate (and ate it on my way home on the bike..) - and then other stupid eating choices. Keep being hungry today.
Have been thinking that it would be wise to eat a healthy snack around 2-3pm at work before things(blood sugar) get out of control around 4pm and I end up eating too much or unwisely.
Have had junk food cravings badly the past two days. Hope I can behave tomorrow, Friday! :-/
 
Sorry to hear about the bad junk food choices, but don't beat yourself up. Take some healthy snacks tomorrow for your 2-3pm snack and drink lots of water - hopefully that will curb the cravings.
 
Am drinking loads of water this week and I didn't exactly eat junk food, my mind have been circling around French fries or worse. I had dark chocolate and two pieces of (fresh oven cooked) salmon. I feel so full now, and stupid because I gave in to eating. It will be so hard not to bring candy and/or chips home tomorrow to "celebrate" weekend. God I hope I can go straight home and have no detour for buying bad foods. Maintain your weight loss Clarissa and settle for tea, wine? or apples!
I def. need to bake some kind of fiber rich healthy nut and seed -muffins for my afternoon snacks.
 
Should do home made oven baked fries. MUCH healthier and could curb your craving. Cut the potatoes (sweet potatoes I believe are healthiest), just a bit of oil and then toss in whatever spices you want. And Dark Chocolate is better for you than milk...but I prefer milk or white, and salmon is healthy so good for you! Apples are a great snack and could curb your sugar craving.
 
It's difficult to find sweet potatoes in Denmark, but sometimes I use raw beet roots and cook them to fries, they are so tasty when rubbed in oil and ginger.
Busy day at work, which means walking and walking and walking at the hospital, 8 hours. Have stayed clear of candy (so far! It's 7pm..) and have baked 10 LCHF muffins I hope will work as afternoon snack and as part of a quick breakfast.

Dinner: low fat edition boeuf bourguignon with boiled potatoes, raw and cooked veggies and pickles 550.
Late snack: half a LCHF muffin 100.
Total: 1700
 
Weight kept giving me different results, but the highest I got was 133,1 which is a new low by a hair. If I do not fall into a junk food box the 120's are within shortly reach.
 
I’m sorry you’ve been dealing with a cold. So many people have been sick lately. It’s just horrible.

Don’t feel bad about eating that chocolate. Over the holidays I think I consumed enough to give everyone on this forum a few servings. Looking bad it was very bad behavior on my part, but what’s done is done. I’m working on correcting it as you are.

Keep it up and congrats on your new low! :)
 
Hi Mandy I don'p really feel bad anymore, one day off diet is ok, one has to enjoy life too, it's the day turning into weeks that has to stop 'cause that really sabotages everything.
For every time I eat besides diet I discover that I can eat less of it and that I fancy less of it and it becomes easier to return to diet. My digestive system is not geared to my old eating habits anymore. Probably a good thing, but it makes me feel getting older, like some of the patients I serve food at the hospital, they ask for only half a cup of tea and an almost non existing piece of cake because they just can't have anymore.
If I've had to many crisps I always consider just having a fruits only smoothie because my DS seems tired and overloaded.
 
It is very time consuming to make every meal oneself and eat clean.
Especialy because I have all those food allergies and and also have to bake all my bread, wraps, pitas and buns myself.
In 10 days I have an examen at shool and I have to both work at the hospital 4 shifts a week and study lots of anatomy and all the stuff with kids ofcourse, I am making 4 lunch boxes, 5 snack boxes and 1 breakfast box every evening. It just seems never ending LOL. Anyway I have bought a pilates/gym ball and hope to try it out soon, but right now I just have to get through that semester end test before I make exercise a priority. Diet is number one and I stick to it. Promise. Hope you are doing well with your exercise angel.
 
Life with kids is very busy. You are doing really well especially with all the added time consuming things you have to do. Good luck on your exam :)
 
I’m glad you’re feeling better now. You’re doing great! Keep it up! Good work on your exam. I’m sure all of your hard work studying will really pay off. :)
 
I hope some will pay of on the scale too and not just at my examen. I get up at 4.45am too and have had a very very busy 8h-shift at the hospital and my daily 10km on the bike with two kids in the trailer, they're getting heavy.
We were home at 5pm and I went straight to the kitchen, the kids had bacon wrapped sasauges, bagettes and then pancakes. I had homemade ceasar salad, still I keep my 1600 cal diet and I hurried to throw away the leftover bacon sausages so I will not be tempted to have any. Oh, and there have been both 2 kinds of crisps, wine gums, candy and chocolate in the kitchen for days now. It's for Friday and I haven't eaten it LOL.

S: boiled chicken 100, cup of tea with lemon and sugar 40.
D: ceasar salad 400, can of coke 150.
