As requested we added some sub forums for locals. I am in Canada, so any canadians feel free to join me in here for a chat:p

Hi

I am also in Canada.

Yeah, I can't imagine bearing the weather in the east:p Love Toronto, but couldn't handle it! I'm from B.C. but currently teaching in England. I'll be back in the spring - can't wait.......I miss home!

What are everyone's goals for 08? If we can get enough members in the different locations, perhaps we could have a country WL challenge! That would be a lot of fun!

Markham here so I'm litterally minutes from you Toronto people. it is freezing and godamn those nice few inches of snow ye got like yesterday.

new to this

Hi everyone Alberta here cold here too Really just getting started on a weight loss plan want to get down some by summer.
Decided to try 1500 cals a day and use my diary for what I am eating .
Think its working started on the 5th of January had just gotten of a Christmas Cruise and was about 6 lbs heavier than when I left, I am down 4 since then and have the mind set to do it so with a little help hits encouragement I just might get the 25 lbs I need gone by summer off!!!!

Hey!
I love how the first thing we as canadians talk about is how cold it is! lol and the first thing i get asked about when i go to the states is...``is it really that cold there``
I am from saskatchewan, and it is currently -35 outside....not very nice at all.
Its one of those days i would love to just not go to the gym, make myself 4 cups of hot chocolate and lay around all day and watch movies...but nope...im gunna have some green tea, and go for a run,.... im sure i will feel better aboutit in the long run! :p

It would be awesome to find some girls on this forum who play hockey! Let alone some guys. I must be the only one :(

sadly, despite living in saskatchewan my whole life, i have never even learned how to ice skate....so hockey would be a little difficult! haha

Hey kids,
I'm in Vancouver so I though I'd be the West Coast Bookend...if only we could find and East Coaster for the other bookend of the country.

HOCKEY...SKATING. Better watch out I think we're stereotyping ourselves. LOL!!

Man, I love skating but I have never found a good comfortable pair of skates! I've tried hockey and figure skates with no luck. As for hockey, the closest thing would be me accidentally slashing my now fiance when we were playing with some of his friends when we started dating. He did not recommend a hockey career for me!! Now I live somewhere where there are sadly no outdoor rinks...

Hey there...Im in Ont...to be precise..I live in Grey County lol..
How is everyone :)
Im new to this site...Im a little excited about it...I think there is a great group of people here...I have been reading alot of threads and not once have I read any hostility...thats fantastic :) :)
well..I have a question..has anyone tried the Dr Phil Ultimate Weight Loss Solution????

cheers

I miss hockey games.....and I've been bombarded with football here in England. Amazing games to watch, but when you don't grow up with it, it's not the same. That, and I know nothing about the football teams or players.

Good for you divine with your plan! And running in -35 weather? Someone has a lot of courage.....

I have yet to get a decent routine going here in England - the gyms around the area aren't that nice, so I'm trying to get active in other ways.

Me and Sean are both from Kelowna BC......if anyone is around that area. Sean knows quite a bit about the local gyms, and I've of course tried quite a few of them as well if anyone needs any advice!

They're forcasting a big snow storm for Toronto today, so for those of us here, it should be a great cardio workout trying to navigate through this snow!!

Bugger that means I'm going to get it too, maybe I'll offer to shovel sidewlks afterwards or something
