Fear not for the future, weep not for the past.

Thanks guys, just a quick post as will be busy all weekend.
Just got back home, daughters flight was delayed 2 hours or so. Then had to drive home, which is on the other side on town from the airport. My cals were around 1900, which is about where I was wanting them. Going to the zoo tomorrow and will probably be walking around for hours. Will check in probably Sunday.

Mal, hf2006, Wishes: Thanks you guys, I think it's actually gotten to the point where he takes it for granted that I'll bail him out. But I honestly feel that I don't have much choice when it comes to my daughter. The good news is that I won't have to deal with it again until Christmas. I told him though, that if he wants her again, then he has to pay for her tickets roundtrip before she leaves or she doesn't go at all. And he also has to pay me back for the last couple times I've helped him out. Maybe he'll get his act together eventually. One can hope.

Food for the Day

Yeah, so I'm celebrating my birthday, like all weekend. And next weekend. LOL
This weekend is partly for me and partly because my daughter's back. And next weekend is getting trashed with my work friends for probably the last time since I don't plan to do any more heavy drinking until I lose this weight and by that time, the hubby and I will be planning on starting our own family. So then drinking will be out for a couple years after that.

So on to the food for the day:

Breakfast
1.25 cups Quaker oatmeal squares, cinnamon
1/2 large banana
1/4 cup skim milk
Total: 382

Lunch (went out to Texas Roadhouse)
10 peanuts out of the shell
2.5 rolls (the 1/2 roll had a smearing of cinnamon butter on it)
1/2 a bowl of ceaser salad (no croutons, ick)
a little less than half a 1/2 lb burger w/lettuce, tomato, onion & mustard)
1 small sweet potato w/maybe 2 tsp margarine on it
Total: ~878

Dinner (mmmmm, mom came over and made it special for me)
1.5 cups sticky rice
1.5 cups Som Tom
5 totilla chips w/
4 tbsp homemade fresh salsa (mmm, cilantro)
~1.5 oz bbq pork chop (it was about the size of a 5 pack of gum but I didn't weigh it because my parents think I'm wierd enough as it is)
1 small piece of yellow cake with the frosting taken off (I don't like frosting)
Total: 792

Drinks
Opening a bottle of Red Spumante Sparkling wine 8 oz is ~110 cals
I'm pretty stuffed but I plan in drinking a couple glasses, but we'll have to see if I'm too full to drink it. LOL

Total for the day: ~2160 - 2270
That's fairly high, but it's also unusual for me. Tomorrow I'll be eating lightly until supper as the parents want to go out to a mexican restaurant for supper. I don't think tomorrow will be a problem as I'm fairly miserable for eating this much tonight.

hehe I must be celebrating your birthday this weekend also lol. I just made a fantastic carrot cake complete with cream cheese icing. about 400 calories a slice and i enjoyed every bit!

Happy birthday :D

Hey Manaloa,
I hope you have a great two weeks celebrating your birthday!

You know, that really should be how it's done ;)

Happy birthday Manoloa... I'd break out into song, but you know, I can't sing with a damn... consider THAT your birthday present from me :D

ODH, M2M: Thanks!!
ml2b: thanks for not singing! LOL

Well, yesterday I kept my cals at 1800 even with going to a mexican restaurant!! Woohoo for me. Did some bike riding with my daughter. Going to some aerobics from FitTV w/Gilad (???) and with my daughter, she's jumping on the working out bandwagon too. (which is good, she needs to lose like 5lbs)

Oh, and since Friday, I lost a total of 1.5lbs. Bringing me down to 224.

Oh, and I won't be going out with my friends next weekend as I forgot (ooops) next weekend is my 1st anniversary. Whhoooopppss I thought only guys were supposed to forget that. And I have no idea what to get him as far as a paper present.

HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY Manaloa!!!!!!!!!!

Don't feel bad about forgetting your anniverary! I do the same thing... with everything! hahahaha

Dead Presidents are the ultimate paper gift ;)

Let me do the belated Happy Birthday wish too, sorry I didn't see this till now :( I know I enjoyed my 21st birthday and I hope you did too :)

*wonders if Mana will pick up on my apparent weaseling line* :p

I like that idea...paper pj's ...that could be down right wooohooo!! *blushing*! You could also write him a love letter or poem?! OR wrap little paper clues up and leave them around the house and let him find those paper PJs and then.........I don't think I need to say more. You can also find Lovers Lotto cards or 52 weeks of Naughty Nights...they are scratch offs with "fun" things to do on them. Slumber Parties sells them. Just a "few" Ideas :p !

Happy Belated Birthday and Happy Early Anniversary!!!!!

First Anniversary? Paper? How about just a greeting card? That's paper!! LOL!!!

I know you are so glad you daughter is home...I know how much you missed her. I bet you sleep better at night knowing she is safe and sound under your own roof.

Have a great day!!!

Thanks for the ideas everybody. I was thinking about maybe making a card with some pics of us together and as a family.

Thanks Scarlett, yeah, I do feel a lot better knowing she's home with me. She started her first day of 3rd grade today, she's getting so big. She already has a boy who walks her to school every morning. LOL

Well, I just killed my self with Taebo, the advanced tape. Ugh. And this morning I did the Gilad workout, that wasn't so bad. Tomorrow morning is going to be the "all star workout" from FitTV and lifting some weights with my daughter. I told her she could only do one exercise a day. Either aerobics or weight lifting in the morning with me. That way she doesn't get a complex or something. She has a tendency to go overboard.

Uh huh!!! She's the belle of the ball already!! I would expect nothing less from the daughter of a saucy red toenail painted hot mama!!!!

Food for the Day

Breakfast
3/4 cup O'brian potatos scrambled w/
2 eggs
1 tsp mustard
Total: 212

Lunch
2 1/2 cups my veggie chili (I overestimated here, I think I only had two cups)
20 saltines
(It took me about an hour to eat all that)
Total: 573

Mid-morning snack
Carrot cake w/cream cheese frosting
Total: 586 (guessing since I didn't make it)

Dinner
2 cups sticky rice
1 cup Som Tom
1 pork chop
Total: 611

Total for the Day: 1982 calories. At least that's what I'm going by. I don't know how many calories were in the cake so I looked up a few and went with the highest one. And I know I didn't eat 2 1/2 cups of chili, but I didn't measure, so I figured better safe than sorry. My friend from work made me carrot cake, my absolute favorite. It was sooo yummy and moist, but it sat in my stomach after like a stone. Ugh.
