to be honest with you I used to love Full body workouts but lately I have started split routines where I literally "kill" the specific muscle and the next day I can feel it really sore. and that means results.. I have never felt sore after FBWO, just tired obvioulsy. and I have talked about this question you are asking with gym instructors and they have told me this is like studying: you either study all you subjects at one go or else focus very well on each subject. and the answer comes naturally..
Good luck![]()
I used to do full body workouts and found that to really get everything done in one sitting, it takes over an hour of work at the gym
and is VERY demanding on the body (especially after 3 sets of 10 squat).

Do you know what the definition of literally is? I hope you haven't killed all your muscles. You'll just be a pile of goo.
This is a common misconception. Soreness is not an indicator of effectiveness.
If you only worked out your biceps forever, do you think your arms would get huge while the rest of your body stayed skinny? It actually doesn't work this way. Your body will only go so far into an imbalance. It's not like studying intensly in one subject makes you smart in that subject and then you move on, its like studying all subjects to bring your collective IQ up.
