Fatty.2 : Revenge of the chub.

Good luck with going veggie Hun!! I really admire your determination, there is no way I could do it.

Hope your having a great weekend!

Charlie

Good luck with the vegetarian-ism, I hardly ever eat meat anyway so I find it pretty easy.

YAY Fable 3 was AWESOME- hahaha I finished it 3 times over the 8 week Christmas break, good times (I'm a bit of a nerd too haha)

Ahh, I'm so excited to finish it Luz! I love it :D

Thanks ladies, on day 2 now!

Feel great already! Smoked a bit with the boys last night and couldn't be bothered to cook so made the cheese pizza we were saving for a treat! Was a thin crust one though, not a deep pan! Not toooo bad.

Today I woke up craving carrots and celery so I'm munching on two carrots and two things of celery with some humus and some other dip that I can't spell..Tztsiki or something? I don't know. Yummy though! Think I'll have some wheat crackers with marmite after I get through this presentation work!

It sucks, I have my dissertation AND a Holocaust presentation (anyone read Fugitive Pieces by Anne Michaels? HELPPP!!) due on the same day which fucking blows. Far too much work. So gonna do this for another hour and then have a Fable break and then do the 30 Day Shred DVD :)

Have a good Sunday everyone!

Hey Hana!!
i loooove tzatziki - yumyum - its the greek yoghurty thing with cucumber - its a nice dip!
i m also a big fan of humus...mmmm yummy with pita bread, celery, cucumber, carrot and broccoli!!! :drool5:
Good luck with your pressie and dissertation!!
hugs

Ooooh I'd love to try going veggie for a while but it's so hard at home cos my mum cooks the majority of our meals and she wouldn't go for it. Bummer. I feel like I need to make a few little changes to my diet for life, such as you going to soy milk etc. Although I hate soy milk, especially in coffee, ewwww. I think I'll give some thought as to what these little changes could be. Anywho, I'm glad you're doing well and congrats on the hard work on your dissy, I hated doing mine, but it's all worth it in the end...crack on hehe! xx

Just a quick FYI on the soya milk subject - you should also try rice milk or almond milk. When I was vegan, I tried a LOT of dairy substitutes and I much preferred either rice, oat or almond milk to soya.

It's worth a go if you want to cut out milk :)

Good look with the veggie-ness, don't forget to eat lots of protein!

I got recommended oat milk actually instead of soya milk but I never got round to trying it.
I personally think soya milk tastes like normal milk that's had cereal in it :p
How's being veggies suiting you then? It must be going well if you're craving carrots!!

Cheers guys--I really fancy trying almond milk but not sure about the oat one as I hate cereal and don't like that taste at all..Will give everything a try though!! Love the soy milk I have--Tastes like watered down vanilla milk. Nice in tea but not in coffee!!

Soooo, on day 4 now I guess? It's going great! Gonna weigh in before lunch so will let you know how it's going although I ate a TON of salt last night (tequiliaaaa!) so it's probably not gonna be great :p

I'm loving it! We had a very healthy lunch of salad sammich and string cheese and yogs and then were full all day until dinner time so no snacking! Went to the pub and was SO CLOSE to caving in because they had like 3 Veggie dishes which all looked HORRID but I stuck with it and shared some breaded mushrooms with a friend which were DELICIOUS. And then I had the mushroom pasta with some garlic bread which was just as lovely!! :D

We went to see The Circus of Horrors () which was INCREDIBLE! Saw some very, very, very strange things! Sword swallowers, contortionists, tiny men with vacuums attached to their bits :/ Was very odd! Was awesome. Very cool.

Drank quite a bit and went back to my friends house with Yank (moreee kissing with girl, when will the confusion end?!?!!) Ate some very cheesey pasta when we got home at about 2 but not too concerned as it was a small bowl :)

Onto day 5!

Hi Sunflower,

Good job on the trying vegetarian. I have found over the years that I am eating less and less meat. I don't know if it is because my tastes have changed or I am just getting OLD-lol. I came from a family of butchers so we ate all kinds of meat when I was young. It probably had something to do with me being a fat kid from an early age. Now that I am older I find if I eat too much meat it makes me feel too sluggish. I have toyed with the idea of turning vegetarian but I still enjoy a good burger or chicken breast every once in a while. Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes!!

Thanks Cowboy, I'm really enjoying it at the moment :) Feel like I have more energy!

Really need to spend less time on this forum and more time having a life ;)

So cool that you managed to make your 2000th post in your own journal! I didn't realize I was getting close to my 1000th a while back and didn't notice till after that I had passed it - so I have no clue where my lucky number 1000 is at! LOL!

What the heck? Why would a tiny man have a vaccuum attached to himself??? VERY weird!

Glad the veggie diet is going well for you. Sending you good weigh in vibes for later... It's gonna be a good one - I just know it!

I always refer to soy milk as "cereal milk!" I use it to make my chocolate milk, but do NOT like it in my coffee. I want to try that almond milk, too. It sounds good. I've never heard of oat milk.

Ok, I wasn't gonna post this - but I changed my mind!

As someone who used to work for several years on a dairy farm milking cows I just can NOT get the mental image of little almonds or soy beans with teeny tiny teats getting hooked up to a milking machine like cows do. LOL!! :biggrinjester:

I know that's not how they get almond and soy milk, but the mental image is just KILLING ME!!! LOL!!

Ok, maybe you gotta be a farm girl to appreciate that...?

+1 for the love of oat milk. SERIOUSLY delicious and perfect in every milk requiring situation.

Also good: rice milk, almond milk, hemp milk

Never recommended: Soya milk, coconut milk

Hey congrats on 2000th post! Wow!

I've seen the circus of horrors ;) it was hilarious/crazy/weird/gross all at the same time. Also I feel it must be mentioned that some of the ladies in it were yum-may.

Woo Woo 2000th post!

I just love reading about all your no related adventures as well so I hope you still spend lots of time here sharing with us haha :)

Good luck with the veggie - I can't have milk for different reasons but I like soy and almond milk. The soy vanilla is definitely delicious in cereal yums! And I usually get the chocolate almond milk as just a drink because it's low in calories and cuts my regular chocolate milk craving I get now and then.

I just burst out laughing when I read this one - that's so funny - now everytime I have my soy or almond milk that's what I'll picture ;)

Congrats on the 2000th post :hurray: hhehe
You are doing great with the veggie diet!! You are such a star for keeping it up! i know it s hard to make a big change to one's diet! Proud of you! :grouphug:
