Fatty.2 : Revenge of the chub.

I wish you lived here. My daughter wants to go to a belly dance class but can't find anybody to go with her. She won't go on her own and I absolutely can't dance, no sense of rhythm at all so won't go with her either. I've heard it's great fun so I hope that you enjoy it and I'm sure that your boyfriend will love you doing belly dances for him.

Belly dancing lessons sound fun! More fun than the swimming lessons I start tomorrow, ugh. Can't wait to hear how you like it!! I did the C25K program and used the app. Definitely recommend it, it keeps you progressing without trying to push yourself too hard, which was my big problem. Slow and steady is the way to go! Tried many times on my own to work up to a 5k and never did.

So I basically do just seem to be copying you these days lol...I too started the c25k this morning...have you started yours yet? The first week is pretty easy...think I'll be ok up until about week 4 where all of a sudden you go from running 8 minutes at a time to 20! Argh, good luck belly dancing and hope you feel better soon xx

Well, my manager rang me this morning and was like "Hana, are you still on a diet?" And I was like, yus, I am still a giant fat-ass, thank you for reminding me. And she then invited me to go to a belly-dancing class with her on Wednesday nights! It's an hour long and it's for beginners. Am starting this week! :willy_nilly:

Awhh, awesome song! I hope it's fun..Apparently there is a "no shoes" rule and we should wear gypsy skirts. I am deeply amused. Will let you guys know how it went when I get back tomorrow.

Got a hugeee food shop this morning. I'm in love with these healthy soups we have over here called Covent Garden soups. Really yummy and usually very low in sodium (or lower) than tinned soups as these are all fresh :)
Bit pissed off though as ordered Minestrone, potato and leek and potato and because they didn't have those ones in stock they sent me THREE "Goan spiced spinach, cauliflower and coconut" ones. Which are yummy but spicy. I really want to add some rice to one for a main meal as it tastes like the base to a curry!!

But yeah, they do all sorts of flavours. I still need to tryyy:

Slow Cooked Pork & Canellini Beans
Southern Indian Chicken Rasam
Spicy Caribbean Chicken

Anyway, I lost 2lbs this week for the Spring Challenge. Pretty pleased but know my body fluctuates like crazy anyway so might not mean anything. So bummed out about putting on weight over Christmas and New Year..I was so close to my 175 and then I ruined it and now I'm back up to 185. Awh well. I'm feeling more positive and making good food choices right now so hopefully I can get back to where I was by the end of the Spring Challenge!

Feeling like death still today but took some Night Nurse last night and it knocked me out for 14 hours. Was beautiful. Cough still bad so dreading the night shift--this kid wakes up all the time WITHOUT me coughing a lung up..Not going to a be a restful night for either of us, I think.

Yum! Those soups sound SOOO good!!

I bet adding rice would be so delicious! I get this lentil soup from the store that is pretty healthy, and I find it's uber good over some wholewheat pasta!! it adds something more to the soup, and is a tasty sauce!!

Mmmm that curry one sounds SOOO good!! *drooling* hehehehe

AND OMG!! CONGRATS ON THE -2LBS!! *happy dance* yay! that's great!!! I know as women we tend to go up and down, but girl, CELEBRATE! Any loss is fantastic!!! :) You are doing a great job!! I know it can be hard to see a gain during certain times of the year, but in the bigger picture, you're working hard towards your goal!!! And it can be a lot of extra work when you have school and a job to deal with! but you got this! :)

yay weight loss :D sorry to hear you are sick. update us on how the belly dancing goes. i would like to try it. also, would LOVE to try pole dancing. lol might make me more brave in places other than the gym... lol

Hey gorgeous girls--

Belly dancing was a FAIL. Turned up, waited for 30 mins in the freezing ass cold, chain smoking myself to death. Not a healthy start! Then went in, did the warm up. Everyone else was dressed in all the gear, all looked really like belly-dancers! Me and my boss stood at the back and tried to keep up but about 20 mins in we realised we had come to the ADVANCED class instead of the BEGINNERS. Fucking FAIL. Was not amused. However, got a good 40 min walk in on the way home and am trying again next week at the right class!!

In a good mood tonight :) Just about to have pie and potatoes for dinner and a nice glass of wine. Still under for my calories! Who says dieting can't be fun? ;)
 
I just read about the belly dancing. I did that when I was going to start disco dancing it was soo embarrassing lol

Lol at showing up to the advanced class- sounds like something I'd do!! Are you going to go back and try the beginners?

YUM those soups sound GOOD!!!! Still too hot here to eat soup... can't WAIT for winter!
