Very low calorie day but obviously slept until about 1pm because of night shift and then had a upset tummy (drank too much coffee last night..it doesn't agree with me which makes me very sad as I adore coffee >.<) so had a pretty grotty day.

Weighed in at 179 again this afternoon. Not good, not bad.

Finished the first part of my essay, thank god. Just another 750 words to write ("Examine the relationship between ‘auteurism’ and genre in contemporary American television drama") tomorrow or monday morning and I'll be set! (Apart from the 3000 words for war and modern memory and my dissertation!! :willy_nilly:)

Got my Christmas meal tomorrow evening so there will be lots of drinking but going to try and limit the wiiiiine. :piggy: I'm being slightly more healthy and having "nut roast" (I assume more healthy..I've actually no idea. But it doesn't come with as many "extras" like sausages wrapped in bacon and stuffing, etc) and I'm having tomato soup with a brown roll for starter instead of dessert afterwards. Either way it's going to be a lot of calories so going to have noodle soup probably tomorrow lunch as it's like 50 calories so I can eat relatively guilt free tomorrow!!

I used to love coffee so much too, but since I had the kids I just can't handle it anymore - it really freaks me out and makes me dizzy!

Personally I love short hair....no idea why. The shorter the better. Years ago, I was hopelessly infatuated with Annie Lennox. Just the thought of nuzzling her razored nape of the neck would ....

Your new do looks very cute on you! Your face looks like you weigh a heck of a lot less than 179 to me. You must be a fairly tall chickie!

Hope the rest of your paper writing goes well for you. Have fun at your Christmas dinner. What the heck is nut roast though?????

Tigs, I am indeed a very tall girlie! I'm 5'10! I think nut roast is some meatloaf type thing made out of lentils and stuffs but I'm not really sure! We shall soon find out!!!

Found a house (hopefully) for me and Yank next June! It's next door to our best friends down here in Portsmouth!!! Fingers crossed we snap it up before anyone else!

Well, I think we can assume last night/this morning was a complete write off. Probably had a bottle and a half of wine to myself. Luckily my soup was cold so I didn't eat that so that saved me some calories. The nutroast was oh my god delicious. Cashews and brown rice and cranberries and yummy nutty goodness all smooshed together in a lovely pile with gravy and veg! Yummy!!!

And then, with the hangover from fucking hell, I decided to go to McDonalds for breakfast and ate not one, but TWO sodding mcmuffins. I didn't eat the egg and Yank had a few big bites but..yeah..not good.

The next meal is a new start though!! :D


Breakfast: mc muffin x 2 ! (800)

Glad your nut roast was good.. Sounds absolutely awful to me :p I have a think against cashews bleurgh. too much like peanuts for my liking!!

And lol with the mcmuffins.. the eggs probably the only "healthy" bit of them :p
 
I totally just want to bail on today :( Have eaten too much (had small thing of chips at the Scout xmas party I went to with my kid) and now his mum has brought me a big thing of posh chocs for Christmas!! Noooooo!

And then my fat bum brought doritios and dip on the way home because I'm hungover still and want salty goodness. Will try not to have any :(

Luckily, the scales (after my mcmuffins, believe it or not) only says 180 and that could be from all the damn salt so I can't complain really!) Did an insanely brisk hour long walk this evening as well--really got me sweaty so I feel great about that!

Thanks ladies :D I washed my hair last night and it felt very weird feeling it so little and short!!

Today was chaosssss so far! Woke up early to go into uni for 12 to print of some work and then had a complete melt-down because I realised one of the essays that I thought was due in on weds was due today at 12 so had a panic and had to grab a taxi and run to the library to go hand it in! Luckily it's all been handed in on time so I'm pleased!

Not much else happening today. Apparently I drunkenly ran down the beach the other night and I woke up this morning hardly able to walk. Feels like I have needles in my shins :( So stiff and painful. Not amused. Hope I've not done too much damage to myself.

Got the dreaded night shift tonight so should probably have a nap. Update later.

Breakfast: fresh bread roll. nom nom nom (230)
Lunch: string cheese (72) cereal bar (92)
Dinner: pizza (611) plain salad (0)

Sorry to hear things haven't been going as planned. Ecky is right that the next couple weeks are going to be tough. I love getting chocolate for gifts but then again I hate getting chocolate for gifts! I can't believe a tiny little egg mcmuffin is 400 cals too - that's unfair! STay strong Hana!

Can any UK people recommend me a calorie counting site (one where you sign up and enter all your food and it tells you how much fat etc.)

Edit: Right, I've started using FitDay..Quite like it. Need to make sure it has crumpets on there though, otherwise it can fuck right off! Think it'll be more accurate than my random guessing when it comes down to it and I can figure out my fat and write my progress down and stuff. Well, I'll give it a try for a few days and see how I get on, anyway.

Satfat: 14.7
Carbs: 113g
Protein: 38g


Can anyone tell me how these numbers should be? I'm useless when it comes to how many carbs/protein, etc that I should be eating. Is that too much? Too little? What numbers should I be aiming for?
