Just remembered I have an exam Thursday morning that I am in no way, shape or form prepared for.
So I was up at the ass crack of dawn before Uni sorting it all out and trying not to have a mental breakdown.
War and Modern Memory is a SUCKY UNIT.

Ooooh i feel your pain sunflower, i have 4 exams in 4 days next week, then a 5th exam the monday following. Not ready for any of them yet. Uni is a murderer... it kills social lives. Goodluck for Thursday!! xx
 
Some days I think it would be fun to go back to college and get my masters. But then I read posts like these and I think "WHAT THE HELL AM I THINKING!!?!?!?!" and jump right back into reality! LOL!

It was dead! Really upset me! Apparently Wales fishermen catch loaddds of them and then throw them back but we showed the one we found to a fisherman and he said it died of old age :( Poor fishy. It felt like sandpaper though, was awesome. Just like a SHARRRRK!

Had a very productive day so far. I slept in til about 10 and then Conor woke me up with a cup of tea and some crumpets and I told him to fuck off for waking me up so early. Then I felt like a horrible grumpy cow and we had lovely cuddles for a while and then I went back to bed (night shift tonight) and then got up later and did some work for this exam. Know what I'm writing about for the exam and you're allowed the books/secondary sources AND 300 words of notes in with you which is awesome-sauce.

Then I pootled into Uni and saw my dissertation tutor who said my thesis looks AWESOME which made me very happy. :willy_nilly: I'm writing about the coming of age novel using The Bell Jar and Catcher in the Rye (two of my very favourite novels) and modernism which will be interesting. Just a butt-ton of reading!

Now I'm at home and hiding from the severe weather warning Portsmouth just got! 70mph winds expected tonight apparently! Woop! That'll be fun on my night shift! :p

And nowwww I'm going to tidy my room, get some lean mince cooking for a spag bol I'm making tonight and relaxxxing til Yank gets home :D

Brought healthy snacks for night shift tonight. Looked at the lucazade (energy drink) I buy every week and it has OVER 1000 CALORIES in it! Oh my god! So taking water or tea tonight I think! And I brought a jelly which is 90 calories, some string cheese, twiglets that I'll measure out into portions and a brown roll which I'll have with turkey ham and philli ^_^

Breakfast: 2 crumpets (160)
Lunch: string cheese (68) 1 serving of twiglets (110)
Dinner: spag bol with lean beef and mushrooms (500)
Snacks: string cheese (68) more twiglets (110)


Total: 1016
Exercise 30 min walk

As the others have said, you have made me very happy that I am done with my degree. I don't think I was made for exams or paper writing.

That's terrifying that a DRINK can have 1000 calories. WTH?
 
I'm just not made for anything that involves effort, I don't think >.<

Yeahhh, it's this super sugary, super high calorie drink and I've been drinking SOOO much of it and not writing it in my food log as it's a DRINK! The only other drinks with so many calories are like wine or beer or juice. Never thought it could be so many!
 
Eeek I just had some lucozade today. Had no idea it was soo bad!!
But I'm letting myself off because I've had a string of baddish days..

Would that brown roll I spied up there be a seedy brown roll? :p
 
I didn't mean bad food wise.. But now I think about it it's not been brilliant!
I've barely eaten today, then had a chocolate binge, and I want to go to bed but I'm hungry. Blah.
How on earth do you manage night shifts?! I'd eat all night long!
 
night shifts you just get used to after a while.

BTW, lovely cuddles are good, and he sounds like a guy who loves you. Hangs out for a cuddle even with a grumpy G/F (not cow, dammit, stop that!).
 
Oh do not drink luxcozade - it is the devil's own drink for calories!!!! I have the isotonic lucuzade that they've just brought out (50 cals per bottle) when I need energy!

Hahaha you really were a grumpy girlfriend! Never say no to a cup of tea in bed...even if it means drinking it half asleep and the falling back asleep again!

Sunflower, your stomach looks amazingly flat!! Please tell me when you started losing weight that it was all flobby and saggy?!? If so...there's hope!! Then again you are young and childless so probably not after all!
 
Piggy, I play The Sims all night! I'm such a child. Although they get more weird as the night goes on. I made a husband-killing gold digger last night. I worry myself.

Sir Cabalot! Yes, indeed, he's rather attached to me. We met online and he moved alllll the way to Good ol' Blighty to be with me from Idaho ^_^ I'm spoilt rotten, I am :beating: He lets me get away with too much though!

Jay, I can't believe I've been drinking so much without looking at calories on it! Literally saw the 50 cal ones in a shop this morning so will def be getting that. I've even drunk it before and it's nicer! Orange lucazade tastes like weeeee. (Or what I'd imagine wee looked like.) :puke:


Well the night shift was fun last night :rolls eyes:. Didn't take coffee or tea or energy drinks or my caffeine pills so was pinching myself all night to stay awake. Awh well, home now and I've had about 5 hours so time to drag my fat bum out of bed and do some revision for this exam tomorrow. I *hate* exams. I get so anxious :(
And yus, my tummy was very wobbly. Despite never giving birth I looked like I'd smuggled a couple of smallish elephants in there at some point without realising. I'm feeling much more toned now though :)

I figure I should split my calories from my shift between yesterday and today? Had 2 rolls (320) string cheese (68) twiglets (98) alpen bar (80) = 566

Sooooo, 283 for today and yesterday.

Breakfast: night shift noms (283)
Lunch: ham and philli sammich (250) crisps (87)
Dinner: potato (180) kiev and garlic bread (400)
Snacks: crisps (350)

Total: 1550

I wanted wine and we only had a really crappy rose..
So we put cherry coke in it!! :O
Sounds gross but made the wine much much nicer :p
 
YUK!!!

Cherry coke and wine. That has to be the most revolting thing I've heard in a while. I'd rather go without!

Sunflower - drinks were the thing I was most shocked at when I started counting calories - even a glass of orange juice and stuff you think is "healthy" really contains masses of calories. As for coke and soft drinks - jeepers. Forget it!

Today has been AWESOME. Kicked some serious butt in my War exam this morning despite having several panic attacks last night! I get myself so wound up. Poor yank literally had to rock me to sleep. It's the only thing that calms me down recently as he's so cute to put up with it. Anxiety sucks. I see people on facebook being like "Omgzzz, so nervous for exam!" Then they go out drinking the night before! I was in bed rocking like a crazy thing trying not to be sick all night! Know i've done well though so that's good ^_^

Then Yank took me out for lunch and I was SO good! Wetherspoons (a chain of pubs here for all you across ze pond) have started doing nutritional information for the lowest calorie meals!

So I had a diet Pepsi (check me out, avoiding the wine!) and a reggae chicken breast wrap! With NO CHIPS! It was 364 calories :) Which is perfect! Had to pick out all the tomato though. Fucking hate tomato. Horrible slimy stuff.
And then I went to a 2 hour lecture and actually made notes! And now I'm home before my shift tonight :)
Yank is making his burritos again tonight so should be healthy! Had pasta for breakfast this morning because my mam used to make it for me before my exams when I was little :) Works a treat!

Breakfast: 1/2 cup of pasta (105) cheese and ham (60)
Lunch: chicken wrap (364)
Dinner: mini pizza (400) rice (200) bread (100)
Snacks: mints (70) crisps (83) pasta (200)

Total: 1582
Exercise: 45 min walk
